Hi Furry!

He is a complete twat. You're spot on. If Dh see's him soon (before he calms down), he better run quick. DH is 20 stone of muscle and an ex doorman/body guard. BIL is very brave - or just stupid. The latter i think.

Sis is 3 years older than me. My mum has the same thing too. She's just got home from Turkey today and she knew something was wrong. We are very freaky, but kinda nice too!

Anyway, enough of my ranting!

did you have a good week-end?

FurryFox · 19/02/2007 20:20

I still think it is so amazing, especially with your Mum like it too. I have no sisters, just one brother whos 4.4 yrs older than me and there's certainly no bond like that between us , not sure why I'm actually

Weekend was good thanks. Saturday am had man round to fix fence, pm went round PILs then after that we took dd for a long walk which tired her out nicely . Saturday night just me and DH curled up in front of the tv with a chinese and a bottle of wine not sure if I should be drinking while in 2ww but only a couple of glasses, plus the one I've got on the table next to me now . Sunday went round my Mums and that was about it really.

DD just gone up to bed but shes making a few noises so have my fingers crossed she goes to sleep soon . Am also waiting for Sainsburys delivery so we can have some dinner - I'm starving!

jhyesmum · 19/02/2007 20:26

DH has been working on the kitchen again tonight, so we are partaking in a chinese! No wine in, but I had my fill at sis's yeaterday.

DS has just gone to bed. He has tablets to go to bed. Because of his ADHD, his brain doesn't tell him he's tired. So he has Melatonin - which is what's already in your brain.

How old is DD?

FurryFox · 19/02/2007 20:42

DD is 18 months. Only just started going down without a fuss just before Christmas and sleeping through. Still has the odd night she doesn't go throuh, like last night, but that was because her nappy had leaked and she and her matress was wet through so she eneded up sleeping in our bed from 1.30am! I never sleep properly when she's in there with us, actually don't like it and it doesn't happen very often, normally when shes teething badly and can't get back to sleep she'll come in with us.

To be honest I know nothing about ADHD so won't pretend I do. I've heard of, as most people probably have, but I expect it's not all good press that I've read. I know it's to do with behaviour but I expect it's a lot more complex than just that and actually feel quite ignorant admitting that I know practically nothing about the condition

jhyesmum · 19/02/2007 21:56

Sorry for delay - chicken and cashew had arrived.

DS can't concentrate, he doesn't think before he acts, can't sit still etc etc. Always on the go. Quite a handful!

His behaviour is really good though.

DS slept through from 3 days old - sorry!!! That stopped though when he got to 4Yrs!!

Has your shopping arrived?!

readyandwaiting · 19/02/2007 21:57

hello! Sorry asked the question and then disappeared! good to see both of you here

yesmum - very cool about connection with sis, guess that you can pop round means you live close to (?) which must be great when you need to chat/shoulder to cry on - i only have one brother, he's great in a crisis but typical bloke and will offer very practical support like babysitting when sometimes all you need is a big hug.

had a good day thanks - not done much but play with ds but doesn't get much better than that - very concious that am back to work soon so making most of it.... as for ttc, still no af... too much waiting....

readyandwaiting · 19/02/2007 22:00

posted at pretty much same time! am slow typer... mmmm chicken and cashew one of my favourites

also know nothing about ADHD - does it develop/become apparent then at a later age? sorry also very ignorant but i'd always though it was a behavioural characteristic from birth

jhyesmum · 19/02/2007 22:02

when's AF due? Mine was due 27th Jan!! BFN's though!

Sis lives 45 mins away. Would love her to move back here though. We see each other every other week, but we talk or text each day. I'm very close to my Neices too (9 and 3, and sis is very close to DS.

That's the way I like it!!

jhyesmum · 19/02/2007 22:05

It's not really anything to do with behaviour. DS just can't keep himself still! If he sits on the sofa he's always moving. He struggles with school work because he can't concentrate for very long.

We noticed at around 18 months, but it can't be diagnosed until 6 years.

TBH he has always been on the go! He crawled at 5months and walked and 10 months! Not a moments piece!

He is a superstar though. He's my blonde haired blue eyed boy, and wouldn't change him for the world!!

readyandwaiting · 19/02/2007 22:13

see told you i was ignorant

af was due some time last week - problem being only at one since ds was born so just guessing based on an average cycle length... 4 tests now n BFN so waiting for af so can start trying again....

anyway bedtime for me x

FurryFox · 19/02/2007 22:14

Shopping arrived but one item missing...typical it was a dinner, never mind, had other things and they have refunded me

yesmum - at your ds sleeping through from 3 days! My dd did start sleeping through from 7 weeks but at around months she got a chest infection and horrible cough and cold and never slept through again until xmas time - so it was literally every night for a whole year (apart from if my Mum had her overnight or the odd time she slept through) we would be up trying to settle her, replace dummy etc. It just became the norm for us but now she usually, touch wood, sleeps throgh it's just fantastic

Def think AF is soon to be here. Keep welling up while reading the childbirth threads. Just the thought of a new baby sets me off at the moment

FurryFox · 19/02/2007 22:16

My last post took me soooooooooo long to type you've both posted twice before me

jhyesmum · 19/02/2007 22:33

Ready - You're not ignorant! I didn't know what it was until the paediatrian explained it (in very very simple terms!!)

Furry - Don't get weepy, it will happen soon! Get down and dirty whenever you can! One of the little sods will get through!

I don't understand mine - never missed a period apart from when I fell with DS. Body is shutting down i rekon.

Anyway girls, got to go to bed. Jackie Collins is waiting (love a bit of american smut), and I have work tomorrow and I can't access MN there (loads of testicles!)

See you tommorrow night for a v.large Red Wine!!

Cat81 · 20/02/2007 10:21

furryfox and readyandwaiting - how are you getting on?

i had a slight bleed on sunday and thought it was implantation but then big old AF arrives yesterday - totally gutted as we had been trying so hard this month! iv told DH every night this month or else!

readyandwaiting · 20/02/2007 13:14

sorry to hear about af, never heard of a bloke turning down sex every night so looks like you'll have a good few weeks ahead

am doing ok - still no af - lost count where i'm at keep flitting round the other threads and trying to work out what my body is doing, was all emotional again last night, sometimes cramps then nothing - tested loads n BFN so just having to wait which is rubbish

furry - like the idea of ordering in shopping... never tried that

jhyesmum - hope work was ok, time for that wine yet?

jhyesmum · 20/02/2007 13:27

Hi girls!!

Sciving work. I'm absolutly knackard so thought i'd do half a day! Naughty girl!

Anytime for the wine!

Cat81 - sorry about Af, she's such a bitch!

FurryFox · 20/02/2007 15:04

Cat - Good to hear from you. I'm ok thanks, af due sometime in the next few days - fingerscrossd she stays away

Sorry your af has showed up Your cycle sounds a bit similar to mine last month, I had a bit of spotting and then nothing, then af arrived five days later. Good luck for this month.x

ready - Sorry your body seems to be playing games with you, it's so annoying isn't it.

It's only the 4th time I've done the shopping online. Just find it easier than taking an 18 month old with me round a supermarket and always seem to be doing stuff at weekends when dh is around.

yesmum - naughty girl having a half day Still no sign of your af?

mum2sam · 20/02/2007 15:15

hiya, hope you dont mind me joining. Ive just started trying tcc the last month or so my AF isnt due till the 6th march but hopefully it wont be due at all . I have a ds who's nearly 2.5years.It took me 6mths tc ds but i had been on the pill before that whereas since ds i have only been on it on and off so hopefully it will take less time-i hope.

FurryFox · 20/02/2007 15:36

Hi mum2sam. Good luck with ttc. We started trying last month so this is only my second month, have a dd who is 18 months. Took 3 months to get pg with dd so not expecting it to happen just yet. I think I'm subconsiously thinking I'll get pg next month as that will be third month and it took three with dd, although in reality I know it doesn't work like hat at all.

My af is due around Thursday so expecting her any day now - hope she stays away! Hope yours doesn't turn up either

jhyesmum · 20/02/2007 17:31

Hi Furry - yes, i'm a very naughty girl, but to be honest what's new! No AF. But I would be due again next tuesday (27th), so i'm expecting it then. If she doesn't appear (the little whore ), I better have a BFP!

Hi mum2sam, lovely to have you here!

Sis's DH is going to see her tonight. I've told her to give him hell!

FurryFox · 20/02/2007 19:53

Hope your sis is ok yesmumm and doesn't take any crap from her dh. Are they likely to sort things out do you think?

How is everyone else this evening?

jhyesmum · 20/02/2007 19:59

Probably will sort it out. I don't want anything to do with him. It's DS's birthday Sunday, and I don't want him over.

What have you been up to today?

FurryFox · 20/02/2007 20:10

I think you're right to feel like that after what he said about your ds.

Not been up to much. This morning met a friend and her ds and went for a walk round a nature reserve type thing. DD feel over on some gravel and got a cut blow her eye it's the first time shes ever really hurt herself...felt really for her but shes fine now. Have taken a photo of the graze as a reminder

jhyesmum · 20/02/2007 20:40

Oh bless her . My DS always manages to put his teeth through his bottom lip.

Got period pains.

FurryFox · 20/02/2007 20:59

Ouch to ds and bottom lip.

Period pains...can we take that as a good thing or a bad thing?
