Hello twinklemummy. We've just started on the tests too, although I did think it a bit odd that I am going on cd21 and those bloods will test everything (FSH, LH, oestrogen, progesterone etc)... Just 'glad' to now be at the point where we can get investigations underway. My DH has to provide a sperm sample too - waiting for a 'kit' to arrive in the post.

twinklemummy · 25/01/2007 23:29

true its nice to get the investigations underway, but the nurse specialist could do more to consell the patient

FurryFox · 28/01/2007 19:41

Where have all the ttc no 2's gone?

ammylovesbabies · 28/01/2007 19:43

I'm here!!! How are you furryfox?

xx

hello - i'm still here too.. just not much to say on the matter... made a new year resolution not to test (like did last time.. all the time!) and so far so good!

no idea about cycle, only had one since stopped bfeeding so can't chart - whole thing confuses the hell out of me... just quietly (ish ) bd'ing away!

FurryFox · 28/01/2007 22:43

Sorry girls. I asked that question and then wandered off

I'm good thanks. AF has practically finished (sorry if TMI) which is good and a day or so shorter than normal as well so am getting prepared for the next couple of weeks

Have had a nice weekend. Shopping yesterday with DH while Mum had DD and a nice day today at M&FIL's. And have also managed to not look on the internet at any double buggies all weekend. Have been doing a lot of that lately . Might help to get pg first.

readyandwaiting - When did you stop bf?

Amy - Just want to congratulate you again for not going down 'that' isle in Asda's

How are you all anyway? xx

readyandwaiting · 30/01/2007 15:35

hi furryfox - stopped bf at christmas and af arrived 3 weeks later which was really positive as only stopped to increase chances of ttc no2, if af arrives in feb won't be too disappointed as at least will have something to work on next month... who am i kidding am too impaitent

dh said last night only having 2 as i can't stop wondering about ttc, right times, how often etc but then am still on maternity leave and have a very good ds who likes his long naps... not a lot else to think about except day dream about my beautiful family

anyway how is everyone doing? had a flick through some of the other threads and people seem to have posted on others but am a bit lost with where everyones at - hope all doing ok

JillJ72 · 30/01/2007 16:02

I'm lurking Been told by doc to stay off work. EP fallout... salutory lesson to listen to grief rather than run away from it. Now in 2WW.

readyandwaiting · 30/01/2007 18:38

hi jillj72 - any more news on the tests? no idea what you're going through but hope time off helps - look after yourself

what does 2WW mean??

FurryFox · 30/01/2007 19:02

I think it means 2 week wait but do correct me if I'm wrong

Haven't got time to reply properly now (getting dd ready for bed) to other posts but will be back later. xx

JillJ72 · 31/01/2007 14:46

2WW is two week wait, so between ovulation and period arriving. Sorry, gotten used to internet babble over the past year.

I have a cd21 blood test tomorrow; DH has to do his bit too and then when all results are in we go back to find out what they mean and what happens next.

DH is just the best. He's told me not to do anything at all and just not worry about the house or anything. That's hard but it's his way of helping... I've got a counselling drop-in session to go to on Friday so will be there early to make sure I'm seen and hopefully will lead to further sessions to sort this out.

So it's a bit pants but nowhere near as bad as it could be, and I know I have an awful lot to be grateful for, I am very blessed... just going through some rather seismic shifts. Ectopic pregnancy can be devastating, can take a long time to deal with, not just the event itself but all the repercussions. It just takes time....

readyandwaiting · 02/02/2007 09:45

need some advice...
af arrived 14/01, first one after stopping bfeeding and its my first one for 3 yrs (didn't have any when came off pill and was ttc ds) so I can't remember anything about cycles!
This morning I've had pinkish CM and some spotting - its about CD18 (i think, new to charting) is this ok? should I be worried?? scared I'm going to have really irregular cycles and struggle tc no2, have had cramping pain for couple of days but nothing as bad as when af started on 14th...

guess theres no real answer just sitting here getting worried!

readyandwaiting · 02/02/2007 10:14

been searching threads for answers while ds naps and found one on similar - seems it could be ovulation burst... least thats what i'm going to tell myself and say positive

FurryFox · 02/02/2007 18:59

Hi readyandwaiting. Don't really know too much about this kind of stuff but I've read about implantation bleeds and they sound similar to what you've described. Don't know when they would occur in cycle though

ammylovesbabies · 02/02/2007 19:16

I've just been reading another thread and someone on there mentioned that studies show it is harder to concieve no.2. Another lady said it's not.

What do you all think?

OP posts:
FurryFox · 02/02/2007 19:18

No idea but bloody hope not

ammylovesbabies · 02/02/2007 19:21

That's what I was thinking!!!

OP posts:
FurryFox · 02/02/2007 19:24

Not sure why it would be any harder

Also I've heard of loads of woman who have fallen pregnnt accidentally soon after giving birth to first so it can't be that much harder..........can it again.

readyandwaiting · 02/02/2007 23:54

no idea ammy but heres hoping its not any harder - dr told me when ttc no1 that once had one successful pg that any hormone regularities are usually sorted out and having subsquent successfull pg is more likely... didn't ask him to quantify that at time

furryfox - cheers for reply - re read loads of old threads and am just going to keep fingers crossed its all a good sign - it changed to dark brown this afternoon (sorry i know tmi) and doesn't seem like af at all guess i now have 2ww (since now know what 2ww means thought i'd start using it!!)

readyandwaiting · 07/02/2007 20:33

am following feb n march threads but so many people am bit lost with how everyones doing

tested last night cd24 - way too early so got bfn which really doesn't help so will be testing again soon... am so impatient, no more spotting or brown/pink CM.... keeping everything crossed and resisting the other pg test in bathroom cupboard!

hows everyone else doing?

ammylovesolivia · 07/02/2007 20:44

Im excited for you readyandwaiting!! x

readyandwaiting · 07/02/2007 21:08

hi ammy - name change due to ttc break? (Olivia is lovely name, my ds is called Oliver if been girl would have been Olivia! we have very little imagination!)

agreed with your previous comment that you could go mad testing - dh's fault he bought 2 whilst shopping - honestly he's worse than me!

ammylovesolivia · 07/02/2007 21:13

Yep!!

Am taking it seriously and concentrating on the wedding- could get carried away but better not!!

I'm terrible with tests- even halfway through AF!!

Love and luck x

AlwaysTheMummy · 11/02/2007 14:48

Hey girls, alright if I join our ds will be 4 in June, we weren't gonna start ttc til august but hubby agreed we could start earlier

Have to go to dr's to get implant out but read that things should return to normal pretty soon, will keep things relaxed for a few months as I will stress myself out otherwise but if it comes to August and still no BFP I will be upset

I hope to get to know you all xx

readyandwaiting · 13/02/2007 09:03

hi alwaysthemummy as you can prob tell its not a thread that gets checked out very often! but good to have you on board!

good news on starting earlier and keeping it relaxed sounds like a good idea

as for me cd31 today - no sign of af, cramps nothing but then no sore boobs or sickness either am going to test on thurs... no reason why thurs just trying not to waste a fortune on tests... the waiting is horrible if its BFN then would like af to get here real soon and put me out of my misery/excited hopeful waiting
