FurryFox · 15/03/2007 14:55

Am so so so so sorry (((((hugs)))) Have been through this myself and still can't think of any words that will help you. Please feel free to come on here and vent your anger/frustration/sadness - any emotion you are going through as we are all here for you.

Stupid question but how is your Mum and your dad?

Am just so sorry.x

buttercupbabe · 15/03/2007 15:08

Oh jhyesmum I'm so sorry to hear your news. as furry said we are all here for you. Glad treatment is starting soon we will all be thinking of you. xx

jhyesmum · 15/03/2007 15:30

Thanks girls.

Deep down I knew that it was.

Mum is ok, gutted that she is going to lose her hair. I have told her I will shave mine off too! (I have loads of natrually curly hair!) My dad bless him is broken.

Luckily I had my sister with me when we found out. She came to my work.

I know chemo is going to be bad, but I hope that it gets her better.

Lexie100 · 15/03/2007 15:47

I Am so sorry to hear about your mum jhyesmum.

Lexie100 · 15/03/2007 15:51

What a lot of C sections. I had one too as when waters broke i started bleeding very badly and DD heart rate fell. I ended up under a general anaesthetic as placenta had ruptured. Luckily in hospital being induced or she wouldn't have made it. Means i'll have to have c section again .

jhyesmum · 15/03/2007 17:05

Ooooooh Lexie. traumatic birth. It's poo that you have to have another CS too. If I am lucky enough to have another I would so love to try for a VBAC. [hmmm]

MamaMaiasaura · 15/03/2007 18:48

jhyesmum just wanted to say sorry about you news. Have been following this thread but not typing on much. xx

buttercupbabe · 15/03/2007 19:08

Wow - I was a c-section too and general anaesthetic. Fetal distress - ds had got himself wrapped in the cord several times. Part of me thinks it would be nice to have a vbac when I get pg again but also as ds's birth was so traumatic I feel like it might be less stressful to have an elective cs.
On a totally different note are people abstaining from having the odd glass of wine or having some? Is it safe to have a glass when you're waiting to see if your pg?

insywinsyspider · 15/03/2007 22:00

jhyesmum - just logged on and sorry to hear your news, all here for you when you need somewhere to vent ((((hugs)))

buttercup - i had a glass of wine when was pg, max one a week, don't know if thats ok... am just taking it easy at mo, not completely abstaining but no drunken nights out (chance would be a fine thing!)

not so good here found out two friends have had miscarriages this week one at 6 weeks and one at 11 weeks - really don't know what to say to them...

anyway bed for me

Lexie100 · 16/03/2007 10:17

I had two glasses of wine last night - just to de-stress me. It's the waiting which is killing me. Should find out by the end of the month.

Off to a wedding this weekend so will be drinking but not blind drunk. I think the DR's say you can have a glass a week. I abstained for the first 3 months which is the most vital as the baby is developing so much.

miabl2 · 16/03/2007 12:14

Jhyesmum - I'm so sorry about your news. It's a really horrible thing for you and your family to have to go through. I can't even imagaine how you must be feeling but as the others have said, feel free to vent your anger/sadness at any time we're all here for you.

jhyesmum · 16/03/2007 17:47

Would ya fecking believe it...... the CT scan machine has broken.

They've told mum they hope to have it fixed over the week-end. They bloody better. [

Sorry I disapeared yesterday - Was in a bit of a 2 and 8.

DH came home from work early and we had big hugs and loves. Thank god I have such an amazing DH. Even DS gave mummy a huge cuddle.

I have explained to him (DS) that Nannie is V poorly and she will also lose her hair. I told him mummy might cry sometimes and she just needs a big Jhye love! He was really cool about it. He had to know.

Anyway - advice girls. I am thinking of having my hair cut short to coinside with mummy losing hers. Do you think it's a good idea?

MamaMaiasaura · 17/03/2007 12:19

I think that is a lovely thought. xx

FurryFox · 17/03/2007 17:08

Hi all.

Yesmum - How annoying that the CT machine was broken fingers crossed they have it fixed on Monday and your Mummy can her scan done. Your DH sounds a sweetie - so glad you have the support of him, your DS sounds fab too, what a brave boy Agree with awen that it's a lovely thought about having your hair cut. What's your hair like now? Would it be a drastic change? Hope you're feeling ok.

Lexi - Hope the wedding was good

insy - How's the temping going? Sorry to hear about your friends miscarriages Hope you're feeling a bit better now and enjoying the weekend

CD15 for me today so have been busy the last few nights although don't think I'm even ov'ing yet but hey it's all fun

Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying the weekend

buttercupbabe · 17/03/2007 18:16

Hi all.
Yesmum that is such a nice idea. Hope you and family are all doing ok.
Furry - dont wear yourself out like I did! But best of luck this time
Off to have a nice glass of wine and a chill. Have a nice evening all.

jhyesmum · 18/03/2007 16:50

Hi Girly girls!

Thanks soooo much for all the support!

My hair at the moment is natrually curl, blond (not natural ), and all the way down my back!

You're so right about the support i've got here at home. I'm a very lucky girl.

Cooking roast chick at the mo and taking some down to Daddy. Mummy is also going to try some veg. I'll also take her mummy's day things down to her. I know it's late but she has been a sleep most of the day. I just hope this isn't the last year I can celebrate Mummy's day with her ......... Oh, buck your ideas up Jhyesmum!!!!!!!!

Anyway, how the TTC going? DH is gagging for some! Best give him some love tonight me thinks!!

insywinsyspider · 18/03/2007 19:54

hello,

had weekend at in-laws so haven't been able to get on here for a couple of days - dh forgot my 1st mothers day he's spent all day trying to make up for it! bless him he feels so bad!

jhyesmum - cutting your hair sounds like a lovely idea - have you ever had it short before? and how was your mummy today?

furry - temping is going ok, so far all pretty constant but am cd10 so next couple of weeks i've got my fingers crossed....

question for you all - if my cycle is 55 days do you think I'm likely to ovulate around cd14 ish and then 'miss' a month or is it more likely to be around day 41? trying to work out if ovulation brings on af about 14 days after or not....

hope you all had a good day

buttercupbabe · 18/03/2007 20:28

Hi all.
Insey - I would go by cm or try and bd every other day although that could get a bit tiring as you've quite a long cycle. You could bulk buy ov sticks on ebay and try and limit using them to when you get the ewcm. I basically think you need to look out for the ewcm and just go for it!
I'm stressing again. I got a positive on my ov stick last sunday eve and am worried that my luteal phase is shorter than it used to be. My af is due towards the end of this week /weekend (varies by about 3/4 days). I reckon I ov'd last mon or tues so if I get my af on thurs or fri it might only be 10 days past ov is that ok for getting pg?

insywinsyspider · 18/03/2007 20:46

hi buttercup - i find cm very confusing, tend to have fair amount of cm throughout cycle (sorry if tmi) but find it difficult to know when its EWCM... we started off bding every 2 days last cycle but couldn't keep that up for 40 odd days hence hoping to pinpoint it a bit better - started opk's just bulk bought and trying everyday for this month and see if it gives me a clue

i can't give you any advice about luteal phase as not much of a clue myself - will just keep fingers crossed that af is a little longer away and hopefully stays away!

buttercupbabe · 18/03/2007 20:59

Hi insey. Thats a really good idea to use the opks every day. You might end up with a shorter cycle this time - who knows. The body does funny things doesn't it?
I really am praying that if af is coming this month that it stays away longer just so that I know that physically I'm able to get pg again. I started off enjoying ttc now it's just making me an emotional wreck and I find myself obsessing about it. It's only our 3rd cycle of ttc and most of my friends have taken longer to concieve their 2nd children so it worries me. I also think that when I was ttc ds I worked full time so didn't have to time to think about it all. Sorry I'm blabbing on tonight just feeling tense and teary about it all.

insywinsyspider · 18/03/2007 21:12

sorry yo hear your not feeling so good, i know exactly what you mean i'm feeling a bit teary about it all today. i'm going back to work at the end of April and i would love to know if was for only 9 months! it took us 12 mo last time but no periods so in some ways feel more stressed this time round because i have a cycle of sorts and would love a small age gap - also this time i can't actively avoid babies and pg women, hang in there! off to bed for me now but always here if need a chat x

jhyesmum · 19/03/2007 09:34

Oh buttercup, you sound really down. ((((hugs)))).

I'm here if you want to chat.

FurryFox · 19/03/2007 12:09

Morning ladies.

Buttercup - Sorry you're feeling a bit stressed. TTC can be so obsessive sometimes. Hope you're feeling a bit better today

yesmum - How are you? Hope yesterday wasn't too bad for you. Do you know when your Mum will have her CT scan yet?

Hi to everyone else. How are you all? CD17 for me but if AF stays at 37 days as it has been the last couple of months then AF isn't due until 9 April so still a while to go for me yet. Roll on April

jhyesmum · 19/03/2007 12:17

Morning Furry,

Hope you're ok today!

Mum's not too good TBH. Don't know about the scan yet. I was hoping it would still be today. Anyway, she goes to the chemo people wed.

It's like she's given up bless her heart. She now can't stomach complan, which is what has been keeping her going.

I made a roast yesterday, and took a plate full down for daddy. Mummy had some veg but what she had my DS eats in a spoonful. I had to mash it all up with gravy for her.

I know she feels sick with the tought of food, but I think that because she hasn't been eating for so many weeks now it's like she's anorexic.

Oh roll on Chemo,at least then we've got a chance.

I'm off work today as I worked the week-end, so I thought i'd have a day of MN!
