newkid · 06/03/2007 14:30

mum2sam just thought I'd add a message as I'm in the same boat (though have not yet done test). Have dd who is 3; am desperate to have number 2. Have been having 26-day cycles with spotting beforehand for a few days. Am now on day 28 with no spotting. Some period-type feeling (minor) but no bloating, which is a usual symptom. Was like this last time but trying desperately not to get my hopes up too much! My fingers are crossed for you (as they are for me!).

FurryFox · 06/03/2007 19:10

Evening all.

readyandwaiting · 07/03/2007 10:02

hello everyone

come on to have a stress - feel free to ignore its just sometimes i have no one to talk to about this stuff. Am still waiting for my af - now about cd53, done so many pg tests i know i'm not pg and now just worried something is wrong, i didn't have periods when ttc ds and that took 12 mo - could it have been a fluke? was only just starting tests due to waiting lists and they didn't find anything from the blood tests, have had one af starting on 14th Jan and was so excited that my cycle would be back... don't know what to do about it as know stress doesn't help ttc! want to go to gp but don't know what to say as am worried he'll fob me off with saying i have to wait longer for cycle to return (also just to complicate matters am on ad's still for mild pnd and don't want him to question why am ttc as i know this is the right thing for dh and i) feeling all emotional and tearful today, can't explain how great ds is and how much i want another one asap, just feel like my hormones are completely out of control

sorry - but it really helps to write it all down

mum2sam · 07/03/2007 11:05

Hiya readyandwaiting, im sorry you are feeling down hunni. Do you not have a nice GP you trust or perhaps a female Gp who you can talk to? If the time feels right for both you and dh then it shouldnt matter what your gp thinks. Only you know yourself better then anyone else. This whole ttc thing is stressful and i myself cant believe how much it takes over your life.

Lexie100 · 07/03/2007 12:14

Hi ready. I know what you mean about PND. i had it with DD and i myself can't believe i want another so not sure about others reactions. I think my mum will not believe it (if) when we get pregnant. Sending lots of hugs and hope you are having a better day today.

Awen- have spoken to 3 people who all took clomid and all found it worked and have beautiful children. So lots of luck.

Hope everyone else is having a good day

JillJ72 · 07/03/2007 12:20

Hi readyandwaiting. I would go to the Doc and mention concern about AF faffing. Possible you didn't ovulate? You can tell Doc you and DH are talking about ttc again, you know the ADs are a no-no so you want help reducing the dose, and you want AF sorted so you can ttc regularly.

Good luck to everyone waiting for AF

mum2sam · 07/03/2007 12:27

think AF is on its way-i cant belive it ;-(

buttercupbabe · 07/03/2007 13:21

Hi ready. I'm sorry you're not feeling so great today. I completely agree with mum2sam and jill. Go back and see your gp - it might make you feel as though you are doing something about the situation. We're hear to chat and give each other support.
mum2sam really hope af is not on it's way.

readyandwaiting · 07/03/2007 20:58

thanks for messages - sorry for self indulent rant, went and had lunch with dh and he suggested coming to gp with me so he makes sure i say everything i want , i have a lovely gp who was the one who refered me before so hopefully he'll be able to reassure me!

hows everyone else doing?
mum2sam - fingers crosed
yesmum - any news about your mum? still thinking of you all x

readyandwaiting · 07/03/2007 21:00

mum2sam - that should have said 'fingers crossed its not af'

MamaMaiasaura · 07/03/2007 23:51

fingers crossed mum2sam xx

MamaMaiasaura · 07/03/2007 23:51

OK day 11 today.. we were busy tonight .. put my legs up for ages after.. ended up with a headache.

I have no idea wehter fertile now or not.. we a planning on trying for the next 17 evenings (he is going to be sooo knackered).

Dont know whether that will affect sperm levels or not? heard some say of every other but we dont want to miss the boat.

Also no idea if I will actually ov this month as first month of clomid and only 50mg.

Reallly hoping it all works tho.. I have already worked out what due date would be and everything.. that is really sad i know.

Does any of you lot fel like this or am i bonkers?

JillJ72 · 08/03/2007 09:40

LOL - 17 evenings is quite a task and you are both going to be cream crackered.. and quite possibly lose impetus and develop a severe allergic reaction to the "Right, let's go and do it" type thought. Bd daily will affect sperm quality - they take 48 hours to regenerate. Every other day would be fine, and then perhaps every day for 3-4 days over the time that you think you ovulate... Good luck

mum2sam · 08/03/2007 11:20

She bloody found me didnt she grrr 2 days late as well. How do i work out my cycle now? Are those ovulation kits easy to use and are they cheap? Ah well heres to trying for a december baby.

Lexie100 · 08/03/2007 11:52

oh mum2sam i'm sorry. My cycle is all over the place but there is a calculation on americanpregnancy.org which says:

The first day of your fertility period is determined by subtracting 18 days from the length of your shortest cycle.

The last fertile day is determined by subtracting 11 from the length of your longest cycle.

The time in between these two days is considered your fertility window. Your ovulation is expected during this time frame. You cannot get pregnant everyday during this period, but it is sometime during this period that pregnancy can occur.

Hope this helps. It's also a really good web site for all sorts of pregnancy type stuff.

FurryFox · 08/03/2007 12:18

mum2sam - Sorry about AF. Have also posted on April thread

awen - Wow you will be busy if you manage the 17 nights Don't think I could do it although I'm sure DH would be up for the challenge

readyandwaiting - Sorry to see you were feeling a bit down yesterday. Hope you are feeling better now Are you going to go to the docs?

jhyesmum - Had a quick sroll down and looks like you haven't been around for a few days. Hope things are ok with your Mum and I'm thinking of you x

FurryFox · 08/03/2007 12:19

Oopps, meant to say hi to everyone else and hope you are all doing well

buttercupbabe · 08/03/2007 13:25

Hi all Not a lot to report here just waiting for a positive on my ov sticks...
Mum2sam I bought some from zoombaby.co.uk I got 20 ov sticks and 4 pregnancy tests for about £15 including p & p. When I got pg with ds I used the ones from the chemists but they are quite pricey. I'll let you know how I get on with these ones....
I'm just really keeping my fingers crossed that we get lucky this month.
I don't know about everyone else but I go from being so optimistic and positive one minute and the next thinking how long will it take? Silly really as this is only our 3rd cycle of trying and I know there are people out there desperately ttc their first baby. I think once you've made the decision to have another baby it's difficult to not let it take over. Sorry - this turned into a bit of a long one!

Lexie100 · 08/03/2007 17:01

oh good luck buttercup babe. will be starting my OV sticks on sat, although just in case getting giggy with it as well. Think i'm getting a cold, ugh. DD driving me mad today. Can't believe i want another one!!!!!

insywinsyspider · 08/03/2007 20:42

evening all - been lurking on other threads and realised there is already a MNer called Ready so am having a name change from readyandwaiting to avoid confusion if i get brave and post on other threads... new name is only cause i was lacking inspiration!

anyway.... am off to gps next week so can feel like taking control of situation - kept busy today and loads of time enjoying the sunshine in park with ds good therapy

mum2sam - sorry to hear bout af

awen - goodluck for next 17 nights not going mad i frequently look at edd but then made myself look like a right nutter by some of the posts recently so prob not a good comparison!

furry - noticed loads of nice messages but nothing about you, hope everythings ok with you

hope evryone else is ok too x

FurryFox · 08/03/2007 21:11

insy - Glad you've had a lovely day with DS. The sunshine has been lovely today and reminded me how much I miss the summer . Good luck for the docs next week, I hope they're good with you and help you get some answers Like the new name by the way. I knew there was a 'ready' alredy which is why I've tried to avoid calling you ready and usually type R&W or similar, didn't want there to be any confusion

I'm fine thanks. Nothing really to say about me. Am CD6 today so getting nearer to the busy time of the month Having a conservatory built at the moment and have the pasterer coming tomorrow so that should be fun....oh how I lead such an exciting life
