Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Really glad to hear that skip and I think girls camping trip sounds perfect. You can enjoy some nice WineWine and have a good break from it all. Hope you have good weather!

I tried emailing the hospital this morning after I found an address online and a lovely lady rang me back. Said they like to get people booked onto the system as soon as possible, especially as it's my first pregnancy, so no idea what that other mardy woman was on about on Monday Envy got booking-in appointment with midwife on 6th September which is not too far away at all really. Yikes. Made things seem much more scary real!

Good luck tomorrow hep can't wait to hear what they say

HepKestrel · 19/08/2016 17:39

Thanks Marmite, I'm a little nervous tbh. Not helped that we have to go direct to a family "do", and will be late without wanting to tell them why.

As long as the midwife doesn't tell me " don't be stupid. You're not pregnant" .....

I may still be in denial....

Si1ver · 19/08/2016 18:22

I'm sure it will all be fine Hep. False positives aren't actually possible.

I'm so pleased the cat's home skips I hope the holiday does you good.

I always shag out the tww. My cycle fluctuates from 19 days (under extreme stress) to 29 days, with a more usual average of 27 days, although it was 24 this month, so basically I have no real idea when I'm going to ovulate and am trying (and failing) not to get too obsessive with okps. So far we're sticking to sex every other day when I'm not actually bleeding. Not that I've got much to recommend this method as I'm very obviously not knocked up yet.

kwick · 19/08/2016 19:11

fxskip so glad you are going to have some time away.

Well done for getting appt marmite how exciting!

Getting very jealous of all this shagging that seems to be going on... You do not want to know the last time I DTD... Most of you were probably still at school....

AudreyBradshaw · 19/08/2016 21:32

I've been eating soft boiled eggs with lion mark the whole way through. And blue cheese dressing (which doesn't contain any blue cheese if it's from aldi) Grin I think you just have to weigh up the odds, I wouldn't have eggs from a farm shop snotty, but I will from tesco. And boursin is pasteurised, so is also fine!

I've been reading but it posting much, didn't want to get in the way and clutter you up. So sorry for the AFs Flowers Wine what a fucker.

🍦💐🎢🍸🍫🍟🍕

marmitecheesetoast · 19/08/2016 21:52

kwick you've inspired me, I've only gone and made a cherry and almond cake, on a whim I may add! And I never bake! Happy Friday allCake

+Kwick* you're not that old!

Great cake Marmite

I'm awake eating a bacon sarnie at 2am because it's cd22 and I've got AF cramps. The 10 plussers thread has moved to the infertility board. I'm not ready for that.

FXSkip · 20/08/2016 09:03

alice you just stay right here love, there's no need to go anywhere. I wish I had something to say, as usual, that could make this easier

AliceScarlett · 20/08/2016 09:42

What you said did help. Thank you. I do hope you stop bleeding for your hols... And that the rain buggers off.
Maybe when we all have our babies in our arms this will all seem long ago, irrelevant and worth it.

Peaches8Posies · 20/08/2016 12:05

Yes to the shagging out the 2ww! It didn't prove successful for me that last cycle but it's how I got my last bfp. It's how I'll be doing things again this cycle.

Hope you have fun on your holiday skip, get a few drinks in you and let your hair down you deserve it!

alice 10 months is still well within normal time frames. Many GPS won't even consider that anything to worry about never mind class you infertile! I started last December, bfp march, mc in may, and nothing since. I thought I would be nearing the end of this ttc carry on by now. As kwick would say, I WILL BE PREGNANT SOON! WE ALL WILL BE! Hang around here Smile

Hi Audrey hope the grads are all well and the little babies are all coming along nicely.

hep hope you get on well today.

I'm having a few drinks tonight, first in a while. All these cakes. Going to need something yummy to go with my drinks now Grin

LondonJem · 20/08/2016 12:14

Hey up how's it all going?

I've not been great the last few days understatement very weepy, low and hopeless. Desperately trying to scramble out of it and get my positive head back on, but I'm finding it harder every month. I can't help but think it's a vicious cycle for me too- the longer it takes the more stressed and unhappy I get - the more unlikely it is to happen. Don't know how to break this as I can't not be stressed and unhappy about this situation.

Alice I was thinking about the 10+ thread the other day too. It seems soon to be moving to the infertile board at that stage to me. But then I don't know what number you get to before you do? And to echo what skip said - don't you go anywhere please! Other than graduate of course!

Had blood test done on day 2 this week anyway to check for pcos, so will see what that brings back.

Sorry I'm such a misery guts! Didn't sleep much last night, had a fair few drinks out with DH, cried in the restaurant, then woke up at 3am and didn't get back to sleep. He's gone away until tomorrow now, so I need to give myself a stern talking to - drag myself out for an outdoor swim, have a nice lunch, read a good book, pop and see my family - just get myself into a better more cheery frame of mood. Wish me luck!

kwick · 20/08/2016 12:26

Yummy marmite can I have a slice please?

alice you are so right - my cousin had difficulties TTC and finally, after a MC at 15 weeks, had lovely twin girls through IVF... Now she does not remember any of it mainly because she never stops

jem sorry you are feeling low. Where will you go for your outdoor swim? I have not been to Park Road since it has been done up. I love swimmjng outdoors... But am in quarantine right now as lurgy is yuck!

I just watched the 4 x 100m relay... I love Bolt!!

Ok so #firstworldproblems - I have a spot on my forehead and some growth on my shoulder blade... WTF?

kwick · 20/08/2016 12:27

WTF Is this?!!!!

AliceScarlett · 20/08/2016 12:30

Sorry you're feeling sad Jem, it's a horrible process Sad

the more stressed and unhappy I get - the more unlikely it is to happen.
I'd challenge this as the jury is still out. It's uncertain. I've researched it and no one can really say for sure. Uncertainty has its own downsides... But still.

I've totally sorted my new job situation now, I'll be doing half a week with the NHS and half a week nannying... One year old and five year old... Might put me off kids for life!

AliceScarlett · 20/08/2016 12:36

Some sort of bite? Or a mega spot in the production phase Shock

liveforthefight · 20/08/2016 23:22

How was the appointment hep?x

HepKestrel · 21/08/2016 06:30

Hi, appt was good. My blood pressure and bmi were meaidired and are good. Had a carbon-monoxide reading ( blow onto breathalyzer type thing). Our family history's nice and boring. Forms filled in. Scan to be booked on Monday when staff in work. So don't know exactly when yet. It'll be really tight as to whether I'll be able to have the NT scan.

Took an hour, then they tried taking a blood sample, and failed in both arms! Nice bruising on the inside both elbows now. I need to pop back this week for them to try again.

HepKestrel · 21/08/2016 06:37

Looks like a bite to me. kwick

Flowers jem
Perhaps a month away from TTC, or a nice weekend away will help? TTC is not an easy journey.

kwick · 21/08/2016 08:54

Hep sorry about the blood situation. I always have to see the Phlemotogist (no idea if that is correct term) as she is one of the only ones that can get blood from my "special" veins. Sometimes a nurse gives it a go but invariably I end up with Susan.

Lurgy is getting a bit better. And it was soooooooo lovely to welcome my nephew back from a 4 week holiday in Peru yesterday - we are going to watch Swallows and Amazons today after eating allotment harvest.

marmitecheesetoast · 21/08/2016 10:15

Glad the appointment went well hep! Hope they can get you a scan booked in pronto.

I got my booking-in appointment letter in the post yesterday, eek! It's hard to get excited though as just worrying something has/will go wrong.

Hope you managed to have a good day yesterday jem and feeling a bit more positive. Sounds like you had a lovely day planned. Maybe book yourself in for some sort of nice treat, nothing to do with ttc. A weekend away or a spa day?!

Also as others have said agree that 10 months is considered well within normal range by GPs so for goodness sake no talk of going to infertility boards

Flowers and Cake for everyone who is feeling a bit meh with it all

HepKestrel · 21/08/2016 14:08

Thanks Marmite!

I have an EDT of 23rd Feb!! Crikey this is getting real!

She also said she wouldn't be surprised if I was less than 13weeks due to all my bfns...

miwelaisjacydo · 21/08/2016 14:27

Skip hope your having s good holiday sounded just what you needed.
Hep glad you have now been booked in. Ooo a February baby right in time for spring.

AlexiaB · 21/08/2016 14:44

Mooseville · 21/08/2016 19:16

Hi all!!!!

I'm back! Spent a week away at a friend's wedding and then taking my Dad for a break in Stratford upon Avon. Was pretty full on and I'm actually glad to be home to relax!
Been busy getting everything together as we had an offer accepted on a house!! Eek!
Only problem is that our sex life has just disappeared during all this, first the house stress and then I've been away without DP, I purposely didn't check my cd or anything as I knew it was likely I'd miss it, but got a shock when today it said cd 16 and we haven't even done it once!! Will DTD tonight but I think that egg will have sailed! FFS!
Sorry to all those AF has hit.
Hep 23rd Feb will be here before you know it!
Hope you're feeling a bit better today jem
