Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Okay jem so there are 2 of us that do not like chocolate cake - its like that Michael Jackson song: you are not alone...

Have jam packed day tomorrow: 9am scan, 7pm bacial and in between a day full of analysing engagement scores which get published at midnight EST....

On my way home now from my mum's to have bath (allotmenteering is sweaty work), drink loads of milk and watch Andy Murray at Olympics.

liveforthefight · 14/08/2016 17:57

Good luck with the scan kwick

On a very serious note, I don't think I could survive without chocolate cake.

Your baking inspired me and I'm currently attempting to bake garlic and Parmesan rolls. Smell good, look weird.

LondonJem · 14/08/2016 20:33

Having a gin and tonic and a yummy ice lolly cheers all.

Not trying to invoke Law of Sod of course

Anyone else Olympic viewing tonight? We are second in the medal table! Second!

Thanks purple. How are you? Where are you at in your cycle now?

Kwick thumbs up for your CakeGrin

marmite glad you had a nice relaxing weekend. I bet it was lovely to tell your parents, despite it being early days.

I'm on cd20 and 3dpo according to my FF chart. Very pleased to have O'd and had a nice temp shift. Not sure how the sperm will have coped since I was still spotting on and off until 2 days ago and I had absolutely ZERO cf. So relieved I bought Preseed this month - life saver!

AlexiaB · 14/08/2016 20:40

Cross-post Jem. I've been glued to the Olympics and the Premier League today. My ass hasn't left the sofa, oops. Go Team Gb! Grin

AlexiaB · 14/08/2016 20:41

Forgot to say, Cheers!

kwick · 14/08/2016 20:52

Yep jem I am watching tennis!
Blimey! Second on the medals board!
Half tempted to set an alarm to watch Bolt at 2.25am...

LondonJem · 14/08/2016 21:03

Another gorgeous cat 😽 mine has just come in, collapsed on the floor and lay upside down with his paws in the air Hmm such a weirdo

I really want to see Bolt tonight too. Not a chance I'll manage to stay awake though 😴

InspectorPenguin · 14/08/2016 22:47

Aw, I'm so envious of all your beautiful cats. Mine are still living with my ex since he stayed in our flat and I didn't want to uproot them until I bought somewhere permanent.
2.5 years down the line, still renting, and miss them so much Sad

Hope you've all had good weekends. I have been enjoying my solo travels overseas - despite looking like a loser in bars and restaurants on my own! - and don't really want to have to get back to reality and work tomorrow.

Reckon it's not going to be long until the next BFP on here; looking forward to it!

Pyjamas81 · 14/08/2016 23:13

Loving the kitty pics! We have a neighbour's cat which wanders in and has a cuddle with me on the sofa on occasion Grin

I've had a really chilled weekend and basically spent a lot of it at the pub with DH, was nice to just hang out and feel a bit normal after what was a horrendous 2WW! The OPK POAS starts again tomorrow and I'm gearing up for the next go.

So I feel like I have not slept... Probably because I did not sleep for very long... I fell asleep watching Andy Murray - and then kept on waking up but being sucked back into vortex of sleep so did not see him win... Then my alarm went off to see Bolt - which was amazeballs - but then I could not get back to sleep... Especially as fricking neighbour upstairs was smoking marijuana again and it just all comes into my flat... I hate the smell and I am worried about passive smoking potential... Any suggestions about what I can do to get him to stop?

LovelyFishy · 15/08/2016 08:13

Kwick try calling 101 for your local Police and telling them. Some forces won't do much initially, they'll log it as intel, but if they get enough reports they'll do something. Another avenue is to contact the Environmental Health department of your council. Especially if they're supported in benefits in any way they'll look into it too! Final option is if they're a private tenant try and find out who their landlord is and write to them complaining.

I'm loving all the kitty pictures!! I'll have to try and catch my two being cute today.

Marmite glad things went well at the weekend, sounds like everything went as well as it could of!

LovelyFishy · 15/08/2016 08:19

In other news, cd 4 here and AF's already stopped and what I had was light even for me! Also woke with some quite powerful cramping this morning. Did another test just to check, bfn. Does PCOS cause this? I'm so confused!

marmitecheesetoast · 15/08/2016 12:52

Kwick I second the suggestion on environmental health department of local council. We had a lot of problems a few years back when we lived in a block of flats with very antisocial behaviour from upstairs neighbour. The council were much more active and effective than the police. Hope they can get it sorted out for you!

I had my GP appt this morning. Of course she didn't laugh at me and say no, you're not pregnant (as was my irrational fear!) She didn't even do any test to confirm, said hpts are so reliable these days they don't check. I have a choice between two hospitals and had to decide which one I wanted to go to - didn't expect this already! - as for one of them the GP refers you and for the other you ring the antenatal unit yourself directly to register the pregnancy. I wasn't really sure which to pick but anyway went for the one you ring yourself. GP told me to ring asap so I just nipped out on lunch break to give them call. The incredibly rude and unhelpful busy sounding lady I spoke to basically said its too early, 'try again next week' and practically put the phone down on me Hmm

marmitecheesetoast · 15/08/2016 12:54

Lovely my AF has still been like that ever since coming off pill in March. Mine would often only last 3 days and barely need even a light tampon... and it didn't stop me getting a bfp (although of course worried that this is going to cause a mc now...) Maybe the cramps mean its going to start up again?! Mine would sometimes stop for a day then come on again?

HepKestrel · 15/08/2016 13:03

Hi marmite

I rang my gp and the receptionist told me to ring the maternity clinic direct. The lady i spoke to was really good. She said i should have the booking appt at 8-9 weeks, and then a scan at 12. As i am probably 12 already, she originally put me down for the 29th, but then rang me back to say they had space on the 20th which I jumped at !

I probably could spend ages investigating the best clinic.... but honestly .... this is the one just down the road.....

marmitecheesetoast · 15/08/2016 13:08

Hi hep sounds like a great service, and really pleased they can fit you in so quickly! Is that on Saturday then? Can't wait to hear how it goes.
I am only 5 and a bit weeks so maybe too early...
The two hospitals I have a choice of are basically equidistant so not sure how to choose really!

AliceScarlett · 15/08/2016 13:42

Oh I meant he missed it as in he couldn't finish GrinWink but as he is just a vehicle for jizz now he might as well been away Grin.
My game plan for the next cycle is to start dtd on cycle day 11ish as he usually gets a few in then it lapses for a while... right in the fertile time, then picks up again. Who would have thought jizz either side of ovulation could be so easy Angry

Hep glad you were able to get an earlier scan.

Kwick yay for AF, go go go ivf.

Here is my kitty. He's a Selkirk Rex, coat like a lamb.

AliceScarlett · 15/08/2016 13:45

Marmite NHS choices is worthwhile to visit to compare hospitals. I've already chosen mine purely on the stitches/cuts/tears statistics Confused

kavanaughkj · 15/08/2016 14:36

Ouch, Alice, I didn't even know that was something you could find out about! Feel like crossing my legs after reading that. eep.

So freaking happy about Andy's second gold medal! The man is an utter star and we are SO lucky to have him representing team GB. Couldn't be more pleased, though I couldn't stay up to see it live as I had to get up for work this morning. So deserved and some lovely sportsmanship between him and Del Potro.

Welp, looking like I'm not going to be the next BFP. Haven't taken my temps to be sure, but I spotted yesterday and have been again today (am also suffering from increased oiliness hair and skin wise, constipation - all the usual tells that AF is on her way). I'm not calling it yet as it's not fully hit but I'd be properly amazed to find out I was at this point ... also I took a test Friday (admittedly early) that was a stark white BFN so I'm not holding out any real hope.

Jem, you're my cycle twin, hoping your luck is better than mine!

marmitecheesetoast · 15/08/2016 15:18

yikes, hadn't thought of that Alice Confused thanks for the suggestion! I have of course immediately googled it. Have found info on NHS choices for both hospitals for things like being able to move around in labour, number of C-sections, amount of contact time, but didn't see anything about cuts and tears. Where do I find this exactly? Hmm continues to obsessively google instead of working on actually fast approaching deadline at work

Great cat by the way

LondonJem · 15/08/2016 15:37

alice that cat is gorgeous! Glad to find I'm amongst so many cat people Smile

Kavan whilst no AF there is hope! Sooooo many bfps come when people swear blind AF is coming.

I don't have much to report really. I've had terrible dreams the last few nights, but I've had this before with PMS. The increased progesterone does it apparently. I'm a bit farty and I've got lower back ache. Neither of these is unusual or exciting. I'm predicting AF by Wednesday. And I'm not testing! Just the thought of that evil white stick makes me shudder!

HepKestrel · 15/08/2016 15:38

eek Alice

miwelaisjacydo · 15/08/2016 15:58

Hello there been a bit awol lately. How are we all? What have I missed? AF came today right on time.
