Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Hcg is produced at different paces. Don't worry. Anecdotally, my auntie was telling me that she never had a positive test and her blood tests were inconclusive, until she was 6 months gone, and she felt my cousin kick! She thought she was dying! We also had choc, a girl on here who didn't had two faint positives then negatives despite still having all her symptoms, and was found to be nearly 8 weeks when Dr sent her for a scan.

AlexiaB · 15/07/2016 17:40

Ahhh Starky thank you!! That's made me so happy and given me so much hope! I've had symptoms and know something isn't right but when you see people flashing dark BFPs at 10dpo it does make you worry. Fx there's a little bean in there for me :)

kwick · 15/07/2016 18:08

kwick · 15/07/2016 19:31

starky it was Paris last week, French Monaco and Nice this, Paris next and then I am on holiday!!! My job is about 50% travel... And France is one of my main destinations. This is a fcuker. So, so awful.

My AF finally came!!! So am officially in 2nd IVF protocol (which lasts at least 2 cycles).

LondonLady80 · 15/07/2016 19:31

May I join?

Name: London
TTC #1
Cycle: 4
CD: 25
Age: 34

It's all a lot more emotional than I thought it would feel in the beginning, how is it this hard to get pregnant?

kwick you poor thing to have been there!

kwick · 15/07/2016 19:33

Welcome londonlady!!!

WingingIt83 · 15/07/2016 22:49

FFS pink spotting tonight. CD 26, completely different cycle to last months 36. Bang goes my longer luteal phase, this month's only 9 days :-( :-( I'd dropped the walnuts and lowered the b6 intake but I clearly need to get back on it as this is clearly not going to work if my cycles get their way.

InspectorPenguin · 16/07/2016 00:06

Great news on AF kwik, best of luck with round number two and with all the travelling, too. I can't imagine how tense it is in France right now... It's so terrible.

Hope you get some clarity from a blood test Alexia but getting even a faint line is pretty encouraging as there HAS to be HCG there at some level. Fingers crossed for you.

I never knew those details about Choc - that's crazy! It must have been good for her to have such a short first trimester though.

Welcome London! Yes, I think almost all of us can sympathise with the buggery of how hard it actually is to get preggers. Each month feels like such a long time. I'm one cycle ahead of you and feel your pain but objectively it's no amount of time at all really. Don't let it get you down and enjoy the time while you're child free and able to make the most of all the good things in life Wine

Jem have a good time at the bbq tomorrow - make a point of enjoying a lovely cold glass (or three) of Prosecco while the pregnant ladies look on in envy. That is unless you get some FRER-shaped good news by then, in which case I will very happily celebrate on your behalf Grin

I am on CD14 of an expected 33-35 so still in the dull zone for now but building up to ISW. I have been drinking more milk than usual based on Skip's advice but that's the only nod to TTC that I'm bothering with this month. I'm really enjoying the milk l actually; I had forgotten how tasty it is. Especially Cravendale. Mmmmm.

purpleladybird · 16/07/2016 03:35

Alexia that looks really promising. Fingers crossed you can get a blood test early next week.

Welcome londonlady - we have similar stats.

emalady · 16/07/2016 07:17

Alexia Do you have another test? HCG doubles each 48hrs so a test 2 days later should be clearer. I definitely see a line, be nice to have it a bit more obvious though.
Congrats!

marmitetoast1 · 16/07/2016 08:22

Great news that AF arrived Kwick! Absolutely terrible and heartbreaking what happened in Nice. We went on holiday to France every summer as children and often used to watch the Bastille Day celebrations. So shocking.

Sorry wingingit do you think it's definitely AF starting?

Welcome london

Fx for positive news soon alexia are you going to test again today? When is your blood test?

Any news on your blood test results hep?

CD13 here so just waiting for signs of FW... It strikes me how much waiting for things we all do when ttc. Waiting for fertile week/waiting for ovulation/two week wait/waiting for test day/waiting for BFP, waiting for dreaded AF!!! It's hard to have patience sometimes! Hmm

HepKestrel · 16/07/2016 09:30

No news yet....

AlexiaB · 16/07/2016 10:58

Kwick yay for your AF

Penguin thank you. Fx for you this month, hope ovulation comes around quickly for you!

Thanks Purple & Ema - No I don't have one booked yet as I need to register firstBlush I'm planning to do that Monday. Going to buy the same tests today and test either tomorrow or Monday.

Marmite thanks, testing either tomorrow or Monday. Cd49 here and completely agree, the waiting game is never ending! The waiting never stops. Hope you hit your FW very soon!

winging really hope it's not AF. How is it now?

Welcome London

kwick · 16/07/2016 11:31

inspector I love milk too - although I try to have organic as everything else is pumped full of hormones which can't be good. I try to drink copious amounts up until ovulation, then reduce to normal levels as too much milk can apparently interfere with implantation.

InspectorPenguin · 16/07/2016 15:14

Ah, Kwick it might have been your tip and not Skip's about the milk then!

I have definitely been enjoying it although I doubt Cravendale scores highly on the organic scale. I'll upgrade next month :)

Jennyfer08 · 16/07/2016 15:40

Bfn but no af yet, so now just an extra long cycle again. Waiting waiting waiting!

WingingIt83 · 16/07/2016 15:45

Definitely AF for me, but trying to take positives out of what a learnt this cycle re ovulation and luteal phase. So onward again and might add milk to my list of dietary requirements this cycle! !

LondonLady80 · 16/07/2016 16:01

Thank you for all the welcomes!

Wingingit sorry that’s sounds incredibly frustrating!

Inspector I totally agree it’s not been that long yet, but crazy TWW brain says otherwise! Blush

Marmite yes it’s all about waiting. And trying to carry on with normal life when part of your brain is always on a countdown

Kwick I think next month I am going to try your organic whole milk strategy amongst other things.

Jennyfer BFN but no AF sounds like a complete nightmare! I would be climbing the walls!

I tested this morning, 12DPO and BFN. I can’t seem to resist POAS from 12dpo onwards – thank goodness for Amazon and ICs. There is something oddly comforting about it, like it’s a doing something to stay a part of the process Grin

kwick · 16/07/2016 17:47

Flowers sorry jenny and wing

Jesus! Period pain is vile and paracetamol just does not cut it!

AlexiaB · 16/07/2016 19:05

So sorry wing and Jenny Flowers

KatOnATinRo0f · 16/07/2016 23:57

Hi everyone :)

I guess anyone who knows me has probably moved on by now. I haven't read the thread for a while, took me a while to find it actually. Anyway. Thought I'd check in and say hi. Wine and Flowers to everyone who needs it :) xxxx

Snowdog37 · 17/07/2016 03:05

Hi kat there's a few of us oldies still here! Some have graduated but still pop in to let us know the joys we have to look forward to 😄 I'm on cycle 9, my third IUI with Clomid and ovidrel. Waiting for cd3 tomorrow for my baseline ultrasound and blood work. They're an awesome clinic here I'm just waiting still to get a bfp. Hopefully third IUI is the charm! How are you doing?
