Ready · 19/01/2007 16:27

Well, Fettle mentioned we should have a general chat thread - and I think it's a great idea!! We could have this one for idle chatter that doesn't have anything to do with actually TTC but just general stuff we want share with our TTC pals... Am I making any sense at all?? Fettle, help me out here

I'll start us off... has everyone seen the public profile that we can share with each other?? It's pretty cool... But I didn't realise how nosy I was, I just keep clicking on everyone's name now

I watched it. COuldn't believe Jack killed Curtis!!! What was that all about? Couldn't he have just shot him somewhere non life-threatening?

Ready · 29/01/2007 12:31

I KNOW!!! Is curtis dead though??? cos they didn't do the obligatory shot of another agent closing his dead eyes!?

Anyone seen "Little Miss Sunshine"... it's really good (IMO).

Guess what? I have - loved every minute of it! It does really well in our cinema too, we are bringing it back this month for a couple of days together with The Queen (also v.good) as they are some of our most requested bring backs at the moment.

We are also showing Dirty Dancing for one day as it has just been re-digitised for the 20th anniversary! No that makes me feel old.

Ready · 31/01/2007 13:28

Damn and blast... typed a long reply and then mumsnet crashed

The jist... I loved Little Miss Sunshine... I laughed and cried and laughed some more. The police man who pulled them over cracked me up...

Crikey Dirty Dancing 20th Anniversary. Was I really only 7 when that first came out??

Not ttc related rant... Is it just me, or does anyone else get annoyed when you are at the checkout at a supermarket and entering your pin... and the people behind in the queue are so *@$%ing impatient that they are basically in your pocket??? I am in a mood today as it is, but if looks could kill, the woman and her 2 brat teenagers behind me would have been stone dead!! RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!

Oh, and just to prove I really am on a roll today... in the car park a woman just dumped her trolley by the side of the cars, despite it being an extra 100 yards to the trolley stash... so I asked her "are you really going to leave that there?" and shook my head. She stared at me and walked to her car, then turned on her heel and said "you're absolutely right" and took the trolley back.

Got it from a thread about how to deal with anger and someone wrote songs about it. This particular song is about her dp's ex and how she wanted to piss in her perfume!!! Just the thought of emptying out someone you really detest's perfume and replacing it with your pee really tickled me!(I'm obviously not very nice!) Her music is actually really good. there was another funny one called Disgusting which was about an ex boyfriend!! Very therapeutic I'm sure! I'm very much into new bands. used to go to lots of gigs need to get back into that. Maybe if you just go to the website berrettatheband.com??

totsy · 02/02/2007 18:03

You could write a great song called Supermarket Bitch?!!!!!!!

Ready · 03/02/2007 14:17

Tee hee... that is funny. It's on a par with sewing prawns into the hem of the curtains - tee hee!!

Yes, I could write something about the supermarket bitch!!

What bands are you into?? I tried to click on your profile, but you don't have one. I am so nosy, I should stop!! I have quite ecclectic taste in music, but usually everything gets introduced via my DH who is a music buff.

Haven't done a profile yet cos I'm new to this mumsnet lark!
My dp's a big music buff too. I love most music except heavy metal! Brand New Heavies type stuff is my favourite but I like going to see quirky unsigned bands too. Would like to go and see Berretta when they next gig cos it's really good, shame you couldn't hear it. I've downloaded Perfume cos it's a good song to drive to!
What's your favourite music?
Have you been on Myspace?! That's great for nosing around at people!!! There was a HILARIOUS pisstake one of Dot Cotton from East Enders!!! I nearly wet myself laughing at that one!!!

To answer your boobs in pregnancy question. I'm an A/"B if I drop a size" cup. Mine went up to a C in my first pregnancy and barely changed at all in the two (three) subsequent ones (maybe went up to a frank B).

Breastfeeding however is a different matter. For the first four weeks they are like dirigibles, and almost as explosive... After the supply settles down, back to about a C for me. I don't think I'm normal in not reacting much to pregnancy hormones in that department.

Ready · 05/02/2007 14:54

Well, I certainly hope that my (o)(o) don't get too bloomin big when/if I am pg
