TTC No. 3

hello! have been ttc no.3 since last april now. ds took about 3 or 4 cycles to concieve and dd 1 cycle, so i am finding this hard to get my head round!

the main reason for starting this thread, if anyone is interested, is that sometimes i feel really bad chatting on the other threads about age gap concerns, how i will cope with another one etc....when lots of other 'posters' are ttc no.1.

it makes me feel a bit guilty going on about no.3 when some other MNers have such tragic stories.

anyway, i know there are a few of you out there also ttc no.3. Do you all have big houses and cars?

Hi Curlygirly,
We're almost in the same boat! Two ds of similar ages to yours and a miscarriage in Feb too (unfortunately). My af due Tuesday and like you I hope not!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

karma · 15/04/2007 20:44

Hi curlygirly,
Any news as yet? Thought about you today and hope it's good news.

Curlygirly · 16/04/2007 15:42

Hi Karma
AF not here yet but did a sneaky test and it was BFN . Annoyed with myself for testing and didn't even bother telling dh.
Fingers crossed for you.

karma · 16/04/2007 20:35

Sorry to hear that curlygirly.

bonkerz · 16/04/2007 22:15

hi all, well AF arrived on 11/4 so back to trying again!

karma · 18/04/2007 17:44

Hi Curlygirly,
Any news at your end? Have you tested again?

Curlygirly · 18/04/2007 20:24

Still no sign of AF but not testing again. I don't want to get my hopes up. What's happening with you karma?

mum03 · 19/04/2007 10:20

Just trying to sum up everyone and see who is still here - please can you confirm whether I have got you right??

I got AF today, but we werent officially trying this month anyway. Im pretty sure dh is up for no 3 so hopefully we`ll start trying next month. Im pretty clueless about ovulation charts etc. My cycle is usually around 25-26 days long so im estimating ovulation to be around the 30th? Please advise me if ive got it wildly wrong please?

panchagarmendia · 19/04/2007 16:22

hi everybody and thanks mum03 for including me in your update: i'm still here!
have no idea about counting cycle days or charts or whatever either, but first day of last af was april 4. so is anybody out there who could help me work it out please? i'm quite clueless for a mum of 2, but dd and ds just sort of happened

panchagarmendia · 19/04/2007 16:27

oh and congratulations to all those with a BFP of course!

karma · 19/04/2007 20:46

Hi all,
Yes still here, thanks for remembering me mum03. Well after getting my hopes up with a late af and a possible positive test (that I now know wasn't) my af arrived today. Bugger! Trying not to let it get to me but I was convinced that this month it had happened. I really don't want to get into that mindset of getting really hooked up on this whole issue, but I can feel it creeping upon me very steadily, and I'm already wishing the next month away.
Ds 1 took 6 mths, Ds2 happened straight away as did the pregnancy in Feb that I miscarried. Wonder if things still haven't settled since the misc. I'm such an impatient person this is killing me!! But of course I know how lucky I am to have my boys, and remind myself of that every day. It's just hard sometimes, especially when you are 38yrs and know the risks increase steadily year on year, plus reduced fertility. (sorry everyone, don't mean to be so negative)
Anyone got any updates for us? Need some positive news.

Curlygirly · 19/04/2007 21:34

panchagarmendia- glad to hear I'm not the only one who isn't too clued up about cycles and dates. Miracle I managed to conceive my ds's at all!

mum03- probably really obvious but what does ww2 mean?

karma- shame about af. I'm same age as you so understand what you mean about reduced fertility and risks etc. I often think the same.

mum03 · 20/04/2007 13:33

Khama -

Curlygirl - 2ww is the two week wait, between ovulation and af (period arriving) or in our cases hopefully a bfp (big fat positive) for pregnancy

beluga · 20/04/2007 13:56

still hoping for a miracle, but considering fostering. Godd luck to everyone this month!

karma · 21/04/2007 09:38

Any news curlygirly? Have you tested again?

Curlygirly · 21/04/2007 15:54

Still no sign of AF and now a week late. Tempted to nip to Tesco later and buy a tester!

Curlygirly · 23/04/2007 10:59

Finally tested this morning and it's a BFP

scorpio1 · 23/04/2007 11:02

YAY!

im cd4 here

Curlygirly · 23/04/2007 11:15

Just hope this one stays put.

mum03 · 23/04/2007 12:11

Curly - big congratulations, great news.

panchagarmendia · 23/04/2007 13:58

hey curly
great news, congratulations!!
so not counting cycle days seems to have worked for you
am very happy for you!

Curlygirly · 23/04/2007 21:30

Thank you. Am very happy obviously but also cautious after my m/c in February.

karma · 24/04/2007 12:58

Congratulations curlygirly, really pleased for you. Fingers crossed that everything is ok this time - I'm sure it will be. Take care and keep in touch.

greedygreedyguzzler · 24/04/2007 13:00
