June Bus anyone?!

Hi all

I thought I'd start the June bus as I'm getting impatient!

I'm 31 (for a bit longer anyway), TTC#1. DH and I agreed to start TTC in May, but won't be ovulating till about the 24th. ETD 8th June! Feeling terrified and excited at the same time.

Join me if you will! Smile

Just used ASDA one on my saved sample and definite BFN.

I will try with FMU in the morning and stay hopeful that I wasn't imagining my earlier squinter Smile

Writerwannabe83 · 01/06/2016 14:27

The FRER I have says on the leaflet that it can be used from the first day of the missed period but I thought the whole point in them was that you could test early with them as they were super sensitive?

Unless there are two types and I've bought the wrong ones?

JessJR23 · 01/06/2016 14:43

Hi all! Don't think my previous post loaded. Am 10 dpo and AF due today. Have started cramping so expecting in next few hours 99% certain it is a BFN this month

FriendlyGhost · 01/06/2016 14:45

There's first response early result and normal first response ones so it may be you didn't buy a sensitive enough one. I'm remaining hopeful for you.

Writerwannabe83 · 01/06/2016 14:57

I guess I did buy the wrong ones then - typical! Angry

Writerwannabe83 · 01/06/2016 14:58

Sorry to hear that Jess, do you always have your period arrive this quick after ovulation?

Laura05 · 01/06/2016 14:59

What's the difference between the test strips and the enclosed ones? x

JessJR23 · 01/06/2016 15:08

Yes writer. In fact it is normally more like 8 days! I am taking 7 seas supplements and have just bought b6 to try and increase my progesterone levels as read on another thread (and their research) that short luteal phase is caused by low progesterone. Also contemplating acupuncture and getting an appointmentioned with doc if no luck in next 2 months. Fingers crossed for you!

Sunshineface123 · 01/06/2016 15:09

Eek good luck writer!!!

Sunshineface123 · 01/06/2016 15:20

I'm in the same boat as you Jess, have docs appt on Monday, hoping they will do a blood test to check progesterone levels X

JessJR23 · 01/06/2016 18:01

How long have you been trying sunshine? I would like to go soon but only been off the pill 9 months... I suppose I could say I have been off for longer??

JessJR23 · 01/06/2016 18:02

How long have you been trying sunshine? I would like to go to doctors ASAP but only been off the pill for 9 months...suppose I could tell them it has been longer??

Sunshineface123 · 01/06/2016 18:30

Only since Christmas, thought I might add on a few months when I go though. Just don't want to waste time if there's something I can take/do to ovulate earlier. I'm terrible with dr Google too, so thought better to talk things through with a real doctor!

wispaxmas · 01/06/2016 18:34

Jess, do you temp? Do you know for sure your LP is that short? If so I might consider seeing your GP As they might prescribe you progesterone suppositories to help, I know at least one person who needed them. An egg can take 6-12 days to implant, so you could be in a situation where an egg might have been fertilised, but never has a chance to implant as your body just goes ahead and sheds the lining too soon.

JessJR23 · 01/06/2016 19:26

Well I used clear blue for 2 months and I got a positive on day 16 and day 17 but my cyle alternate between 24 and 26 days. This month I think I ovulated day 14 (used lines rather than smiley face) but this is my 24 day cycle. Aware if my LP doesn't lengthen the egg doesn't stand much of a chance so will track again this cyclever and up my vit b6 and if nothing will get to the gp!

JessJR23 · 01/06/2016 19:29

P's my first baby was rather unplanned so it has come as quite a shock to me that I am having trouble. I (and my husband) assumed that if anything I was very fertile!! sigh had no idea making a baby could be this hard!!

happybus28 · 01/06/2016 19:39

can I ask what (if any) physical symptoms of ovulation you all get? I should be ovulating this week but had nothing but negative opks so far. I had a cycle off pill about 6 months ago and definitely knew when ovulating, had a sharp stich like pain and plenty of EWCM. This time however I had a little bit of EWCM on Tues but not much and nothing since. Also on tues I had a bit of stomach cramps but they felt more like period cramps than the stitch pain I had last time and they have gone now! Done a opk every day since Monday and all been negative. Not really sure what to think?!

Wibblewobble100 · 01/06/2016 20:08

Omg - love the POAS squinter drama- fingers crossed for tomorrow writer! I'm 9 or 10 DPO... I've had one sore boob for a week or so which is freaking me out a little.... Why only one? I hope it's because it's the one I had really bad mastitis in 3x when feeding DS... Anyone else get not symmetrical symptoms?

Laura05 · 01/06/2016 20:21

I had one achy boob for a few days WibbleWibble
It's the most random symptom eh Hmm

Laura05 · 01/06/2016 20:22

WibbleWobble stupid phone

Wibblewobble100 · 01/06/2016 20:37

Thanks Laura, good to know

Writerwannabe83 · 01/06/2016 20:54

I've noticed that over the last 2-3 days breast feeding DS feels really uncomfortable and my left one in general just feels different somehow.

I need a wee, have done for ages, and I'm holding it in, and will do for another few hours, so I can do another IC before bed.

I'm not using my FRER or CB tests until I get an obvious squinter Grin

Laura05 · 01/06/2016 21:08

What's the difference between test strips and enclosed ones? I gave in this afternoon and bought tests while buying dinner Halo I think I'll test first thing in the morning x

MrsGsnow18 · 01/06/2016 21:18

I had to go back and read 2 pages of comments! Let us know how you got on writer!

sleepyMe12 · 01/06/2016 21:19

I don't think there is much difference just the way it's used to test. The enclosed ones are usually designed for mid stream and the strips you have to collect the wee in a container and dip the strip in x
