yep, CD33 here, going quietly insane. Still getting neg tests each morning.

Am feeling a little as if AF is about to arrive, so fingers crossed - I want to get back to BDing!!!

gillian1973 · 22/01/2007 11:23

You've all been busy since I was last here!

Well, last week for it for optimum TTC time and we gave it our best shot but I don't think it happened. AF is stil erratic after the mc so I'm finding it hard to guess when I ovulate.

I'm not being negative, just going by the time I fell pg in late summer within a few days of doing the deed I felt what I can only describe as a 'hormone surge'. After months of wondering 'hmm...is this a meatlic taste, am I pg?' when the real thing happened I almost fainted at work and the taste in my mouth was the worst ever. I also came out in spots like a teenager.

Fingers crossed for everyone!!!

Honeyapple CD3 OV 02/02? AF due 17/02

nomoremagnolia · 22/01/2007 12:28

Hi all, hope you can help with this.
Went to docs this am and was discussing ttc with the nurse, she said we could make an appointment to see gp for blood tests and sperm tests as we've been ttc for a year now. (she actually said that they start investigations after 6 months - how good is that?) However - when I said to DH about this, he's very reluctant and thinks we should keep trying naturally. I think he's worried about the sperm test (can understand why) but I think we need to know at least that we're producing the egg/sperm in the first place, as otherwise ttc naturally is never going to work.
Anyone got any experience/advice? Should I try to persuade him or do you think he's right?
Background info - I came off the pill over a year ago, have started charting this cycle, but we're not doing anything else to 'assist conception' (OPK etc). I'm 28 and he's 27 and we're ttc no1.

Gracie14 · 22/01/2007 12:31

Hi,

Gracie14 CD11 OV 26/01? AF due 11/02

seaside72 · 22/01/2007 13:02

Hi all - seaside72 here
CD18
Cycle usually 26-28 days so AF due prob by 2 Feb
Not sure when/if ov'd this month as did not do any tests but CM indicated ov around CD12-14 . However not holding out any hope as no BDing on best days 13, 14, 15!! (long story - see other thread Hut of Doom part deux for all those woes!)
So the 2ww is underway for cycle 10.
(Big Sigh)
On a small positive note - if AF comes early I might get to stay on this thread as there may still be hope for a BFP at the end of Feb ?! (clutching at straws or what!)

seaside72 · 22/01/2007 13:13

By the nomoremagnolia - it really is a positive that your GP will be so helpful -you and your DH are still so young !! My DH and I are 34 & 38 (respectively) and our GP told us no tests until we had been trying for at least 18 months - arghh!
If I were you I would get to know my cycle a little bit more with some ov tests, temps etc and BDing as much as poss and then if no luck in another couple of months start on the tests.
But hey- if you feel it might help you to take the pressure off a bit to start the ball rolling wih some tests then go for it. (My DH is also a bit squeamish about the thought of any tests)
Also - how many stories have we all read and seen about couples trying for agaes and then the minute they start testing it happens naturally! You could be one of those!

Hi goingfor3, how you doing?
I was just being nosey and reading a bit of the TTC no. 1 thread (very exciting for all those on it) anyway, someone mentioned something that I thought was really funny...and true to me as well.
We have told everybody that we are TTC- and now I feel that they are all expected us to give them some "news". I mean, I dont want to ring my mum, cos I think she'll get excited that I'm about to tell her I'm PG. Infact, i keep having to tell people- "NO, I'm not PG!" before they even ask!
Anyone else?

beansprout · 22/01/2007 16:41

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok today. Have been keeping a low profile and waiting for the CDs to tick by. Am now on CD20, last 2 cycles have been 32 and 31 days but not sure when I am due. Am pretty sure when I ovulated ("gunk watch" as dh calls it, was pretty telling this month I think). Am now waiting until the end of next week, so will see what happens. Am having a blood test for progesterone levels in the morning but won't get the results for a week.

Anyway, fingers crossed for you furry, sorry to all those who have AF staying and good luck to all of us!!

Ready - shall we make a pact not to test too early?!!

Hi all,
Don't post much at the mo as I have trouble posting at work (I apologise if this posts multiple times!)

But just wanted to admit to someine that we've been TTC for 2 months.

My cycle is perfectly synched with Honeyapple by the looks of it, although I must admit to being ignorant and not knowing what AF actually stands for!

Hi bunnyrabbitt- nice to finally find a cycle buddy!
AF= Auntie Flo/ Period
there is a lot of abbreviations somewhere at the top of the page.

honeyapple · 22/01/2007 17:26

acronym list

Ready · 22/01/2007 18:38

Jo&TheBoys!! My weekend was fan-bloomin-tastic Managed to gor for it on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so having a well deserved rest tonight!! Fingers and toes crossed!!

Honeyapple - LOL, yep know what you mean! When I ring my mum I always get the "anticipation pause" when she realises it's me! Love her!!

Beansprout, a pact of no early testing will be really easy for me!! No early testing is my MOTTO! I have yet to sample the delights of B.F.anything!! AF always been on time/early since we've been ttc! But I will support anyone who wants to make a pact!! Testing early is SO pointless and anything we can do to stop people from doing it is great!!

BunnyRabbit, welcome!! You are in safe hands here!! 2 months trying?, fingers crossed it happens quickly for you!

Ready · 22/01/2007 18:44

Oh yeah, and feeling a little paranoid here... has everyone set their profiles up for "mates only" and not added me to their list??

beansprout · 22/01/2007 18:56

Thank you Ready - I know you are of sound mind on this one, so you'll be a good non-test buddy!!
