Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Thanks sucha, I'm hoping I'm on the right track this month. Still only 20% chance but better than nothing I suppose! 😀

HepKestrel · 07/03/2016 16:49

are other people getting a bit worried about their google/internet/amazon history ?

its a little scary!

SuchaJem · 07/03/2016 16:50

The whole no symptom thing in the very early days does kind of make sense to me. The process of menstruation involves big swings in hormones and then a big physical change as your uterus sheds. Having a fertilised embryo getting comfy means obviously all of that doesn't happen. That's a whole lot of stuff not happening.

And whilst there are of course other changes taking place, it's incredibly early days still for them to have a big effect on you.

Please humour my witterings. I've been watching YouTube conception videos again Grin

Peaches8Posies · 07/03/2016 16:58

No I agree jem. And in the old days when you never had disposable tests etc.. many women were not aware they were pregnant until 6/8 weeks. My gran used to say that most women didn't go to the doctor or midwifery services until they missed 2 periods to be sure. And by that time the proper symptoms would be in play, morning sickness etc... no google or you tube in those days haha.

Confusedcat1 · 07/03/2016 17:20

A comprehensive Google search has just informed me the best time to dtd is before a positive opk! So I feel much better now Grin

The really long list of grads makes me feel half happy and half left behind!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/03/2016 18:02

I feel exactly the same way confused I'm halfway between being made up for the grads and wailing plaintively "why isn't it meeeee!?'

Welcome newbies

I'm just writing the new thread starter paragraph, we're having a change of pace! I've put an addendum regarding babydust and want to make it clear I'm not talking about hopeful just generic babydust! Grin

If you like conception videos jem you should watch this one.

I've watched it maybe.. 6 times this past week hoping and wishing that the first couple of minutes is happening inside me! I feel that I am in for a massive fall when AF shows up this month. TTC has taken up 90% of my thoughts this month, and I've definitely crossed the line in to obsessive. There have already been tears and unreasonable behaviour! I'm in a new country where I don't speak the language and have no friends close by to talk to and no job to keep me occupied during the day while DH is at work. We do however have plenty of sunshine today and feeling so much more positive, I'm definitely one of those people whose mood it affected by the weather.

Welcome Brysonette I feel awful moping after just reading your journey, you really have been through the wringer. Fingers crossed it won't be much longer for you.

KatOnATinRo0f · 07/03/2016 18:26

I feel the same about the list. Yayyy for everyone :( apart from meeeee :( :(

Pugmummy87 · 07/03/2016 18:35

Thanks all for the reassurance that I'm not being a selfish cow with DH's anxiety. It doesn't help that he also has hfa (high functioning autism) too so it can be really difficult to get through to him. He's just recently started CBT, so I'm hoping that will help.

I am liking calling AF, arseholey fucknuts.

SuchaJem · 07/03/2016 18:36

almost 50% pregnant is amazeballs. Hope I'm on there soon too!

Fingers massively crossed for those waiting a while.

Thanks for my vid cailler! Love a vid. Feel like I can visualise what's going on in there. Feels like a bit of a mystery what Doreen gets up to once she's met hugh.

Kwick709 · 07/03/2016 18:45

Confused I like your style for birthday pressies Grin

I am still getting caught up... will write more soon...

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/03/2016 18:50

Cbt was/is a godsend for me pug when it comes down to it, cbt is basically just putting things into perspective! My df is hfa (definetly although undiagnosed aspergers) while my dm is a perfectionist who bottles things up and can get quite tightly wound. I am a combination of the worst parts of both personalities so I completely understand and relate.

My Google history is a crackpot mix of 'cervical mucus' 'long cycle late ovulation' 'evening primrose oil benefits' 'cycling and sperm count' and 'can my husband smell me ovulating' Grin

I think arseholey fucknuts is now my curse of choice! Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Looks like this is a lucky thread too with all the grads, hope the luck rubs off!

Kwick709 · 07/03/2016 18:52

Congratulations hopeful and peaches!!!!!!!

Kwick709 · 07/03/2016 18:57

Welcome brysonette

Jamjar12 · 07/03/2016 18:59

Congrats grads! So many of you this month already!

Sorry I've not been around, I've been reading but not posting as part of my 'playing it cool' strategy. I've been a lot calmer, think I'm about 3dpo now but really have no idea as I'm off Ovia and OPKs! Just been drinking a lot, eating a lot and humping like bunnies when we feel like it!

Had someone ask if I was trying for a baby today and it was strange as I quite happily replied that I was but no joy yet as I know it takes time. Normally that sort of question would have made me all flustered and teary but not today. Turns out if you're casual, the question is casual and not awkward at all. Who knew? (God knows how long this ambivalence will last lol)

Holly300 · 07/03/2016 18:59

Wow two more!! Congrats peaches and hopeful ThanksThanks

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/03/2016 19:04

jam me and you both. I think I'm about 3 dpo, but I only used dh's sniffer dog technique so I'm not actually sure Grin benign ambivalence is my friend this cycle!

KatOnATinRo0f · 07/03/2016 19:05

Hey jam good to see you back!!

SuchaJem · 07/03/2016 19:11

Gah I don't even want to think about my google search history since ttc. Everything from male fertility caffeine alcohol to weeing after sex, an awful lot of cervix and cm type queries and endless pg vs PMS symptom guides.

jam hello there I'm feeling a bit more relaxed this month too - the first two cycles I convinced myself it would happen right away. Now I feel a bit more accepting it may take longer. Like you though I'm not sure how long this will last. Once PMS hormones lock in I'll potentially be nuts again

Kwick709 · 07/03/2016 19:18

So my dears I have done the deed!!! Well as much as I can given my singleness! Embryo was transferred at about 4pm - the embryologist was very enthusiastic - 8 cells, top quality!!! I am now officially on the 2WW - Kat my official test date is 22 March, if you could please update the list.

Thank you all so much for your warm wishes - means a lot!

Oh and I managed to administer 2nd intra-muscular injection. Loads of blood again - I think it is due to the size of the needle...

Moggysinger · 07/03/2016 19:22

There has been an influx of bfps recently! Here's hoping this March is a lucky springtime rush of procreation for one and all.

jam I like your style! You sound very chilled this month, I was never able to perfect that kind of attitude. I just laugh when asked by colleagues/friends if I am feeling broody. Probably a little too hysterically at times.

I rang the gp today to ask what I should do next, being 5 weeks upduffed and all, and was told to ring back at 7 weeks, to get an appointment for 10 weeks! I have no idea how I am going to wait that long. In that time I am probably going to max out my credit card buying pg tests on Amazon because my name is moggy and I am addicted to POAS
