Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Ovia has now decided I have a 27 day cycle, normally it's 28 but last month I came on early at cd26. So I'm due to test according to ovia on 22nd March kat.

Good luck to everyone this month Flowers

Elle I reckon if you vaseline on the lips before you eat the pineapple, then wash down with water (or maybe milk?) that might help?! I agree...we need to dtd more too!! Duh I guess!! 😮

Moose you're in my neck of the woods!

Fishy apparently Pineapples (especially pineapple core) have an enzyme which acts like an anti inflammatory and bloody thinner. It drives blood to the uterus so encourages beans to stick. You must only take a slice of fresh pineapple (not tinned) each day in the tww though as it can affect CM before ovulation and can cause contractions/miscarriage in early pregnancy

Dtd strategy - dtd every couple days throughout the next week.

I'm in, Kat. AF probably due on 4th but not 100% sure. I think I'm 7dpo but don't really know because I got 3 days of positive OPK last weekend. Ovia is annoying me by sending me recipes. Trying to be positive but definitely feeling like we have been unlucky this cycle.

MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS bellini!!!!!

I got needles. & syringes sorted - I rang NHS 111, spoke to the out of hours Dr who did a bit of research and rang me back & told me of a local pharmacy I could go to. They did not have the yellow needles, so have larger (aka more painful) blue ones.... I also ordered from Amazon and will mention to CRGH at my scan on Monday.

So I am kwick
21 years old --okay I am actually 41 but who is counting?!*
TTC #1
Did first IUI in September 2015, after 5 tries have moved on to IVF. I am day 10 of that cycle - scan yesterday showed 3 follicles - disappointing considering I am taking shed loads of drugs including growth hormone! Egg collection will happen in the next week or so and then hopefully embryo transfer a few days after that.
Methods of madness: lots of milk, daily supplement of Co-Q10, vit C, vit D, vit E, Vit B complex, Seven Seas trying to have a baby supplement, pineapple core post IUI/IVF for 5 days, aspirin 75mg post, fertility hypnosis tracks, keeping feet and kidneys warm at all times, cinnamon, eggs, avocado, I could go on... Hmm

Ttc numero 1
Cycle 3
CD28
I think 12 DPO
AF due Wednesday, apparently I could POAS now, which is tempting as I have 4 in the house, but I'm holding out for my starky Star and not testing until/if AF is late.

Unfortunately I do seem to have convinced myself that I am upduffed this cycle due to weirdo symptoms, so totally not prepared for a bfn, oops Confused

Is there a genetic link with fertility? Apparently me, my brother, and my sister were ALL accidents according to my dm ... I think she was either lying or was very careless and very fertile?!

Vicki, 29, cycle 2 and 7 dpo.

Peaches (dunno how to bold!) My auntie had no children, my mum just managed two and my nan only two. My dad's parents just one! My OH's dad just has to look at them too. I'm only on cycle two and I've told everyone we are waiting till after our wedding next year to start trying. Just so there's no external pressure, I give myself enough! Good luck with your journey!

Ooh forgot to say my methods of madness - ovia, folic acid, brazil nuts, and put a lot of cayenne pepper in my dinner tonight after seeing that listed on here once! But def gonna ramp up on the other bits and bobs next month if I get that bfn.

Yes it was amazing! Such a fluke, I had to stop the car and get out to watch it Smile I kind of feel like I could die happy now I've seen one!!

Ni It's so weird, I was actually on the tube the other day and I thought, "I totally could be sat next to someone off the thread and I wouldn't have a clue!"
I actually live just past Enfield in Herts but just popped into Stratford for the day. i think there was a few other Londonish people on here when we did the thread with locations/jobs, but I can't remember who!

Totally didn't know that about the pineapple either - isn't it also meant to help with dieting also?? No idea why I think this!

Hello all!

Rae
I'm 28
TTC #1
Cycle #1
AF/testing on the 5th

I'm taking Pregnacare, DH is taking Wellman. Not using opks yet.

I feel really odd today, loads of watery cm which I have NEVER had before at this stage in my cycle, and feel nauseous (like travel sickness). Also cramping like very mild period pains. I'm fairly confident it's a bug though, unless AF is going to turn up super early!

KatOnATinRo0f · 27/02/2016 19:50

Moggy what did u see from your car? I missed that!!

Have up dated list will post later on.

Am inclined to think that we are clutching at straws with the whole cayenne/pineapple core/warm feet business...... I can't honestly believe that any of that is going to make a blind bit of difference apart from making you feel like you're doing something. But if there's any scientific evidence behind any of it I would be keen to see it!!

Kat I saw a real live murmuration! When starlings flock at sunset and reach 1000s in numbers making all wonderful shapes. From a distance it looked like a cloud changing shape. It is truly amazing to watch, have a look on you tube. Mesmerizing and v relaxing. They still don't know 100% why they do it, it's a natural phenomenon!
