Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

hi Kav !

all levels of crazy welcome here!

Moggysinger · 01/03/2016 12:16

Hi kav waves

Interesting to hear your story so far, love a bit of background!

You're most welcome and in good company Smile

Feefeefs · 01/03/2016 12:47

Hi kav! Welcome!

Thanks Rae. And peaches hope you're not out, I'm using ovulation sticks too just to make sure actually ovulating! DH was a bit disappointed too as I think he was starting to picture Christmas in a new house with a new baby. But it's good now to have him so on board. It's so frustrating when you feel your doing everything right.

RaeSkywalker · 01/03/2016 13:06

Hi Kav! I'm one of life's planners too so finding all the unpredictability of TTC quite difficult to get my head around. Will start opks next month of no joy this cycle.

SincerelyRosie · 01/03/2016 13:10

So after thinking I was 8 days late. Today I decided to use an ovulation test & it's showing high fertility (clear blue dual hormone)! I wonder if I just missed my AF altogether?! Very confusing.

I agree not being able to plan and have control over something doesn't suit my usual nature of being a control freak!

Mooseville · 01/03/2016 13:28

Sometimes ovulation tests pick up pregnancy hormones rosie Are you sure you're not pregnant?!

Mooseville · 01/03/2016 13:28

Btw hello everyone!!!

kavanaughkj · 01/03/2016 13:33

Thanks for all the nice welcomes! And yes, I'm rapidly finding the not knowing sucks. Also time feels like it's simultaneously slowed to the world's most glacial crawl (why can't I test yet?) while at the same time still managing to speed away from me (how did I get to be 37 already?!).

Not sure what's happened with you there, Rosie. I had a disappointment last month when my normally clockwork cycle of 26 days stretched out to 32 only for AF to arrive - after reading around I think Pregnacare Conception may have screwed with my cycle length so I've not been taking it this month. Can't explain no bleed at all though - was AF 8 days late? Is it true some ovulation tests pick up pregnancy hormones or am I pulling that out of my backside?

kavanaughkj · 01/03/2016 13:34

Cross posted with Moose - no backside pullage then. Worth trying a HPT :)

Mileymoocow · 01/03/2016 13:44

Um....Rosie I second that you should take a pregnancy test??? Ovulation tests can definitely pick up pregnancy, this is mine at about 13dpo (2 days after bfp).

SuchaJem · 01/03/2016 14:01

Hello kav welcome on board. Does anyone's chaps know their level of crazy? Mine probably sees about 80%. He could not cope with the rest, so you lot get it.

rosie are you sure you're not pregnant? When did you last test?

Day 7 in the house of fertility for me. DH better be limbering up for ISW. First OPK still yet to be peed on - I forgot to bring them to work and we are going straight out to a gin class tonight. Oops.

Mooseville · 01/03/2016 14:07

I honestly thought I'd be quite laid back about it.... How wrong was I? First month and it's taking over my every thought!
We only DTD once (albeit on a good ovulation day) and I have ZERO symptoms but I've still been eyeing up pregnancy tests in Boots today! I managed to not buy them, I'd be doing them daily!!

vixarooni · 01/03/2016 14:14

Hi kavana I'm all over that book, I chart now and constantly compare my graphs to others!! You could take your temp from another hole....

kavanaughkj · 01/03/2016 14:36

I was thinking about that vixarooni, but I don't think I can really do that mid-chart as I read that you get higher temps from there! Will probably do that from the start of my next cycle though if I don't get a BFP this time around.

Ni4444 · 01/03/2016 14:56

Welcome onboard the ttc bus Kav ! 🚌 Mind your step!

I'm back and less moody today! CD26/28-33 and about 7dpo. This month I am dismissing any thoughts of being pregnant (mostly!) Would be due to test Saturday and im meeting my Mum for a holiday Sunday and I can't work myself up or the disappointment would be too much! Trying to remember to eat my pineapple and finishing this month of temping and that's all!

Rosie time to test!! Fingers crossed!

RaeSkywalker · 01/03/2016 15:29

kav I'm taking Pregnacare Conception! Worried now!

kavanaughkj · 01/03/2016 15:40

Don't let me worry you Rae - for what looks like the large majority of women it appears to work fine and doesn't affect their cycles at all. It might not even be the Pregnacare - I was married in January and we all know how stress-free wedding planning is (particularly when you're told the week before your wedding that your reception venue is about to go bankrupt) - and I also got sick on honeymoon, so it's entirely likely that stress and/or sickness were to blame, not the Pregnacare. I only thought it was that because I found other people saying the same - and I wasn't temping that month so I can't say for sure it wasn't just very delayed ovulation. :)

RaeSkywalker · 01/03/2016 16:03

Thanks kav. Congrats on the wedding! Hope the venue got sorted? I got married in July so I know what you mean about the stress.

I've been taking Pregnacare for 2 months now and was ok last month- will keep a close eye now though!

Hep154 · 01/03/2016 17:08

i think i am already started to crack and thinking of buying a frer....
chances are negligible and yet......

stop it.

Moggysinger · 01/03/2016 17:10

vix and kav what other hole are you talking about?! I thought with temping it would just go in your mouth or under your arm!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 01/03/2016 17:25

miggy I thought it went up the foof hole for quite some time, until I did some reading on it, I'm just glad I've never temped!

Just read this on the Baby Center. It made me feel better

SuchaJem · 01/03/2016 17:42

Of all couples trying to conceive: 30 percent get pregnant within the first cycle (about one month) 59 percent get pregnant within three cycles (about three months) 80 percent get pregnant within six cycles (about six months)

SuchaJem · 01/03/2016 17:50

Also thinking might try this this month! Have printed myself a calendar off :) spermmeetseggplan.com/smep-step-by-step/

Mileymoocow · 01/03/2016 18:11

30% within the first cycle?! That can't be right surely??

I also thought people took their foof temperatures? I'm assuming not.
