Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Thanks stardust & kwick. I'm naughty I know and the worst part is I know how important it is to stay hydrated! I'm always telling my patients to drink more when they hand me bottles of orange coloured urine to test lol. Yet, mine is similar! Need to take my own advice.

Jamjar12 · 29/02/2016 21:17

Good luck with the casual approach Dubb, there's a few of us doing it this month. TMI but I was doing reasonably ok til this morning and the EWCM started. Pretty hard to miss! I figure if I don't mention it to DH, it still counts as being casual...

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/02/2016 21:25

I am giving you a stern look this made me giggle kwick but I'm quite giggly and giddy as Im on my second glass of fizz! Grin

Welcome to the madhouse rosie

Kwick709 · 29/02/2016 21:35

Welcome Rosie - this group of fantastic ladies will keep you right!

Starky I am glad you are in better spirits :)

Now the question is do I risk another glass of milk before bed?

Hep154 · 29/02/2016 21:43

Sigh.... I feel better, and now OH says he is coming down with something....

This cycle is conspiring against me....

Holly300 · 29/02/2016 21:45

Lovely news (and lovely line!) Pyxie! Congrats ThanksThanks

Hep154 · 29/02/2016 21:46

Welcome Rosie!!Smile

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/02/2016 22:34

kwick I think it's the prosecco and actually spending some time with dh that's done it! He's been out so much the last month I've barely spent any time with him and I've been on my own so much, I think it's drained me!

Watching total divas on e! It makes me want my abs and muscles back! But I can't even think about training with dh until his official comp training time is over! Plus I think I want a baby belly more!

Baby bump over abs & muscles any day!!

Feefeefs · 01/03/2016 07:57

The red tide of doom got me Saddoing a long shift today too.

We were originally going to stop for March April to avoid December/January baby but might not now. Think with my dates more important to wait in April. I have an early January birthday and I HATE it. My sisters is early December and she doesn't mind hers.

For next months I'm going to do ovulation sticks. Bought a clear blue one as you can use fmu no chance of doing one in my work! I'm also on holidays for ISW which should help

Feefeefs · 01/03/2016 08:09

Feeling very teary!

Need to remember pluses

  • lovely DH
  • will are saving for a house
  • . . . Hopefully on Mat leave for Christmas?
Kwick709 · 01/03/2016 08:11

Sorry the bitch got you feefeefs Flowers

SuchaJem · 01/03/2016 08:30

Massive hugs feefs sorry it wasn't your month :( I'm a December baby too and I've always loved it. So onwards and upwards for the next cycle. I'm trying opks for first time this cycle too. I am going to try them in the office! Eek.

OPK question for the experts please. What does it mean when you get two lines - that you've ovulated or its imminent?

Moggysinger · 01/03/2016 08:34

Oh no, sorry feefs Sad

Like you say there are still positives, think it's good your doing opks this month, and it will be perfect having a week off for ISW. FX for your December baby!! In the meantime eat all the cake you want to get through the red tide of doom CakeFlowers

Despite my fixation with a bfp this month I think I might be joining you, I'm getting some of my usual pms symptoms - cramping, bad temper with dh and smelly pits!! I'm a delight!

Hep154 · 01/03/2016 09:03

sorry feefs.

Am hoping OH will be well in a day or two so we can try again. Tried the clear blue this morning, but it gave me an error message, so will try again after work. At the moment this month instead of being sexus-maximus has been sesux-unus, vomitus-duos..... sigh.

my ov probably has been and gone, but i want to text again this week just in case. otherwise i feel all is resting on one night of drunken swimmers.

not feeling chirpy today. not helped by the fact that i am back to work today and the weather is shite, and my eyeliner is distinctly uneven. I am even resorting to wearing my "don't mess with me" stiletto boots.

not looking forward to stupid greeting card holiday this week.

jem i think you have to compare the strength of the two lines. One line will always be there. If the other line is darker, you are ovulating. But i'm the girl who can't even get clearblue to work.....

Hep154 · 01/03/2016 09:12

typo: test not text

SuchaJem · 01/03/2016 09:13

Hep what cd are you? Fx you can still catch an eggo.

When the second line is dark - does that mean egg is coming, or already out? Does it mean you have 24 hrs to shag for eg?

Hep154 · 01/03/2016 09:27

when the second line is dark, that means you have the LH surge. (the increase in this hormone. This is the hormone which triggers the egg release). You then have 2 days of high fertility.

rats- left my phone in the car ( with the app) but think i am cd15/16.

Coming off the pill, my cycle has been 28-38days. This is why i don't want to give up on this month yet.

Feefeefs · 01/03/2016 09:40

Thanks kwick!

Good luck with the opks sucha I'm hoping they'll help me get my timings right as cycles so far 32days,28days and 31 days.

Thanks moggy hope you're not out!

SuchaJem · 01/03/2016 09:53

Ah is that what lh is? I'm such a rookie. Two days of high fertility following the darker second line. Right. DH had better not be away when that comes up!

Peaches8Posies · 01/03/2016 09:54

Hi rosie welcome on board.

moggy I hear you, pretty much me today 😡

hep there's nothing worse than things ruining your plans, especially sickness.

feefs in not due til weekend but iv woke up with mild inner rage & dull cramps & craving for rubbish! Af is on her way! Honestly last 2 months iv dtd loads, EPO, ate all the right foods, lay down for 15 mins after dtd, no caffeine bar 1 or 2 cups of weak tea, gave up alcohol this month, pfft! I give up! Think I'll also try Opks this month see if I'm actually ovulating. Giving up chocolate for lent was not one of my brightest ideas.

I have always had a really bad day of one sided cramp during my cycle so never doubted that this was me ovulating. Although we have only been officially tracking 3 cycles we have not used any contraception for several months so think a trip to docs is going to happen 😢 iv have had health issues over last yr and spent most of 2015 in & out of hospital then a big op towards the end of august (unrelated to reproductive stuff) but really feel down at the prospect of being told there's something else gone wrong..... wow I'm cheery! Sorry.

Peaches8Posies · 01/03/2016 09:55

jem I'll learn with you next month. Fingers crossed it brings us the result we want ☺

RaeSkywalker · 01/03/2016 10:16

Oh feefs I'm so sorry Flowers

kavanaughkj · 01/03/2016 11:52

Hi ladies, mind if I join? I'm driving myself nuts in the TWW and think company might be good for me. My stats:

Kav, 37, TTC #1 (didn't meet the right man until late)
Cycle #2, currently I think 5 DPO and temping using Fertility Friend - not all that confident in this month's chart though as I realised after 5 days my thermometer was only a digi, not a BBT one, with wild spikes all over the place. When I replaced it things settled down a bit, though the fact that I sleep with my mouth open means I'm still not sure how much I can trust my temps.
Using ClearBlue ovulation digital monitor and OPKs. Not much CM these days but I think that's my age. Using Preseed to try and help that.

I like to plan and be prepared for everything in my life - given that I'm starting late I don't want to waste any months and I was curious about what's actually going on in my body since coming off the pill in October, so I'm jumping on the temping bandwagon early and have been reading 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility', which has been an eye-opener. V. hopeful that we'll be lucky this month, DTD a lot around ovulation date but can't relax at ALL. Hoping that the fact that DH is a young buck of 28 will help our chances!

It'll be nice to have a place to come let out my crazy as it's not something I can really share with anybody at the moment besides my hubby and I don't want him to know the level of 'arrrrrgh!' that's going on in my brain right now! I've lurked for a long time waiting to try - settling in now to join the cheer squad. :)
