Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

kwick fantastic follicle growth!

Hoping you're all pregnant! Gx!

Sausagema · 02/03/2016 17:35

I'm 7 days po, canters.

Currently in the queue for Sw feeling the guilt!

Cailler · 02/03/2016 17:42

Hey Illiria and Just today is CD18 and cycles are usually about 31-32 days so unfortunately that's not the case! On second inspection I don't think that it is quite as dark as the control line so perhaps I have passed peak after all... will keep prodding boobs for clues

angelazul · 02/03/2016 17:52

Hey to the newbies, you're very welcome to join in with the crazies.

Woop woop Kwick that's fantastic Grin

The witch from hell has done one, thanks goodness!!! I guess it's time to get my positivity back & dust off the old cape. Started temping, so far bbt a bit lower than I expected - how far below 37 is too low? Confused

Kwick709 · 02/03/2016 18:06

Illiria not really... Drugs seem to give me more follicles but still only 1 big enough...1 is all you need right?!

So clinic rang- I am going to inject ovulation trigger ce soir and egg collection will be on Friday. Very exciting!
I am on my way home to have more fertility boosting food!

corgi88 · 02/03/2016 18:11

welcome newbies!

just popping on to say "creme de la jizz" made me choke with laughter! and also to check that Canters has gone for her smear... I'm probably due mine this month but haven't had a letter yet. and if am actually pregnant (though obv very early) should I be going for one or putting it off until after?? have just found this which seems to think not - as my prev smear was fine: www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/patients/patient-information-leaflets/pregnancy/cervical-smears-and-pregnancy.pdf

Still lurking here rather than grads as still not feeling very preggers. and getting some cramps, and my boobs aren't as sore as last time. really hard not to convince self that something has gone wrong already and will have another mc. gives self hooya and decides to do positive mental affirmation instead

I am lucky to know the viroids
I am fertile
My womb is nourishing this tiny blastocyst or whatever and I goshdarn will have a baby at Halloween (or thereabouts).
I do not miss alcohol

keeping gx for everybody!! chat rainbow is definitely a sign Grin

corgi88 · 02/03/2016 18:13

cailler I have 32-35 day cycles too and apparently ice about day 21/22, so much later than I thought! carry on boob-poking!

Kwick709 · 02/03/2016 18:25

corgi lovely affirmation :)

justtheonethen · 02/03/2016 18:28

corgi today you are pregnant....and repeat

Sausagema · 02/03/2016 18:29

Interesting corgi. I'll perhaps poa first thing to assure myself it's negative.

Soooooooooooooooo exciting nd kwick fx ++ for you

Kwick709 · 02/03/2016 20:18

Thanks sausage

Illiria · 02/03/2016 20:36

kwick you are very right it only takes one. Are you having them put back at 3 or 5 days?

Corgi totally feel the same, surreal feeling.

stumblymonkey · 02/03/2016 21:07

Corgi....re smear. They tell you to mention you're due one at your booking in appoint me and the midwife will advise what to do/may do it then (if your last one was normal, which it was).

Sausagema · 02/03/2016 21:15

Stumbly, I don't think that's true in the UK, midwives dont do smears

stumblymonkey · 02/03/2016 21:17

Oh....ignore me then!

Kwick709 · 02/03/2016 21:21

Illiria I am not sure when they/it will go back in - I think the clinic makes that call based on how things go.

I fricking hope I do not have to have a smear now... I had one last year (I think... could have been year before) but I feel like I have been poked around so much already... I mean I have had so many tests surely they would know if I had cervical cancer...????

Viroids - I need your opinion please... is it wrong that a lady of my advanced years 21 (41) has a crush on James Norton (of War & Peace, Grantchester)?

OhShutUpThomas · 02/03/2016 21:29

They won't do a smear if you're pregnant, no matter how far on.

corgi88 · 02/03/2016 21:33

kwick I have a crush on Prince Andrei too! don't worry! is it also wrong that I found Anatole strangely attractive!?!
thanks for the calming words viroids :D guess I will just have to get on with it one day at a time... off to Amsterdam this weekend for a cheeky long weekend! hurrah for distractions!
hope everyone is looking forward to lovely weekends! yes I know it's only Wednesday. I have to get through the week somehow...

Kwick709 · 02/03/2016 21:39

Oh no I did not like Anatole at all!!!
I hope you enjoy Amsterdam corgi you deserve a break!

I am going to try and have another clear out this weekend (no sleepover with my nephew as he will be in Wales) whilst my mum replants my terrace - she is so lovely.

So I just did some research on the whole milk thing - I must stop the copious amounts right after egg collection as could impact implantation... blimey this is so complicated!

AliceScarlett · 02/03/2016 21:45

Isn't full fat milk suggested for ivf?

Kwick James is lovely, why ever not Wink
I'm 30 and I have a secret crush on Anthony Stewart Head.

stumblymonkey · 03/03/2016 07:23

Okay....went back and checked my notes on smears. I had a discussion with my GP about it...

If you didn't have any issues at your last smear then they wouldn't give you a smear while pregnant and would wait at least 3 months after birth.

If you had issues at your last smear you are supposed to tell your midwife at your booking in appointment and they organise one.

I need to know because I have had ongoing issues. Abnormal cells from my first smear at 19, had to have pre-cancerous cells removed at 20. I've actually never had a normal smear....at best I get borderline changes. Have had about a million colopscopies, etc!

stumblymonkey · 03/03/2016 07:28

Angela...coming back to your question about temps. Not sure what is average but mine is always below 37....normally about 36.2 but today is 35.96.

I have been totally shit a bit lax in taking my temp every day so don't really have a good picture of what's going on yet.

Today could be slight dip in temp before ovulating as Ovia says I'm in FW (but FF said my three days finished yesterday) OR I'm not upduffed.

Question viroids: Supposedly if you ovulate your temp rises slightly and if you got upduffed it stays raised....BUT, how does your body know you are upduffed for your temp to stay raised when the little blast hasn't implanted yet?

Confused about this ^^ Confused

stumblymonkey · 03/03/2016 07:30

Haven't had a positive OPK either but again have been totally shit a bit lax at doing them so I don't know any more than I did last cycle!

Bit Hmmat myself for forgetting!

stumblymonkey · 03/03/2016 07:37

Sorry...filling up the thread this morning with my ramblings. POAC contraband and they are much lighter now.

Putting it all together I think IF I ovulated it was over the weekend or Monday....and we didn't DTD until Tuesday evening so looks like I'm out this month.

Must remember next month to start DTD immediately after finishing period!

HmmHmmHmm

Kwick709 · 03/03/2016 07:53

Alice always whole milk - to get the calcium benefit you need the fat :)

stumbly if you have magic potion on tap as it were I think you should js every other day :)
