Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Oh just. Oh I am so sorry. I don't understand what is going on with your tests, its so cruel. Be gentle with yourself today. Flowers

angelazul · 02/04/2016 13:15

Oh Just I'm so sorry, frustrating doesn't even begin to cover it ... Flowers

Black massive congratulations to you, fantastic news!!!

stumblymonkey · 02/04/2016 13:24

Just...sorry for your BFN today. I can only imagine how frustrating it is since I drove myself nearly crazy last cycle as you all witnessed with early BFP signs and then nothing. I'm sorry it's happened again this cycle ThanksBrewWineChocolate

Have you been able to discuss these strange early BFPs with your GP? What did they say?

MyBlackCat · 02/04/2016 15:37

just I'm utterly devastated for you, have lots of Wineand Chocolate we are all here for you if you need us x

justtheonethen · 02/04/2016 18:35

Thanks all. It's shit, but my own fault for testing early. Hooyahs self.

I'm going out to get royally pissed tonight, have even got lippy on Shock

FuzzyOwl · 02/04/2016 20:14

No hooyahs for you just as I am sure we have all tested early before. Do see your doctor though or get it recorded on your notes because it was a definite line yesterday. I hope you are still able to have a great night out. WineWine

justtheonethen · 02/04/2016 23:46

Do I want to get it noted before I go on the ivf list though? Won't it delay that? I don't know, feel like I've had every test possible on nhs already?

CountryGal4 · 03/04/2016 07:17

I've been a bit shit and absent again. Apologies

Cat frigging great news so please for you!

Those faint lines are getting bloody weird just. so sorry they keep getting your hopes up. Definitely needs mentioning. Maybe lil can offer advice re delaying ivf?? Hope you got trollied on prosecco!!!'

Canters15 · 03/04/2016 09:43

To be honest just I think it's worth having a chat with someone- gp or fertility clinic- about this. What brand of test was that? Do you ever get these faint lines on frers or is it always the cheaper tests? It may be nothing but I worry that you're having early chemicals which would suggest an implantation problem rather then a conception problem, and hence you may need this looking into from a recurrent miscarriage point of view rather then infertility. I don't know enough about the tests they might do to properly advise you but even if it pushes ivf back it's worth it to give you the best chance of success.

lildottie · 03/04/2016 13:20

just when are you next due to see someone at FC? I think it should be mentioned but I'd be planning carefully the timing of mentioning it if there is a waiting list. They may want to do extra blood tests (sorry) to rule out common causes of mc. You'd kick yourself if you got a faint bfo from ivf then a bfn. You'd always wonder if it was the same thing causing problems. Hugs x

ScottishLady7 · 03/04/2016 13:28

Looks like we need a new Fred, viroids!

Any volunteers?

OP posts:
justtheonethen · 03/04/2016 13:56

Not got another app booked, waiting for lap. Was thinking I would mention it when I'm on the list so it doesn't delay it? Can have extra tests whilst on it?

lildottie · 03/04/2016 15:38

Yeah I think that's what I'd do. You've been waiting a while for lap now haven't you?

stumblymonkey · 04/04/2016 05:48

I'll volunteer for the new Fred....

Gah! Time to think up a title

stumblymonkey · 04/04/2016 06:15

New Fred viroids is here

Now I'd better stop procrastinating and get myself in the shower for work. Much busyness anticipated today and tomorrow including redundancy rep training today and the first consultation meeting tomorrow. Plus I still have work to do which is frankly just plain ruuuuude Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 04/04/2016 08:35

Excellent volunteering Stumbly! Hope rep training goes well.

Time to fill up the Fred

Tinkfromlovejoy · 04/04/2016 08:47
fruitlovingmonkey · 04/04/2016 09:19

Tink! So good to see you! How the hell are you?

corgi88 · 04/04/2016 09:56

hi viroids, thought I'd get my bad news in on the old Fred not the new one (so it stays shiny and happy): mc confirmed today, 8 week fetus (should have been 10 weeks) and no heartbeat. fairly cheesed off to say the least. I'll probably lurk and then return once it's all over and I can get my cape back on! in the meantime keep shagging viroids! onwards and upwards

NameChange30 · 04/04/2016 10:16

Oh corgi I'm so very sorry Sad Flowers

angelazul · 04/04/2016 10:39

Corgi I'm so sorry, look after yourself FlowersFlowers
