Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Haha! As long as you're not an obstetrician you probably get by!

Ain626 · 01/03/2016 19:06

Thank you for all your kind words viroids. Flowers
Still feeling pretty shitty. But a bit better than yesterday, so I suppose that's something. Hit a wall with my car this morning though which didn't help my mood. (Only gently, small scuff on my bumper, but still...) though my mood was improved when I realised a meeting I thought was today actually wasn't. So yay. Of course I used my extra time wisely by coming home and making my world book day costume for Thursday

Ain626 · 01/03/2016 19:08

Also, I should probably book a smear. I've not had one in quite a while...

justtheonethen · 01/03/2016 19:11

Oh god, bloody world book day Sad

justtheonethen · 01/03/2016 19:11

Btw I love the day, but hate having to dress up

CountryGal4 · 01/03/2016 19:46

Just walk round with a psychotic look on your face and say you've gone as the woman from gone girl

fruitlovingmonkey · 01/03/2016 19:49

Delurking to encourage all the viroids to go for those very overdue smears. It could save your life and is perfectly safe during pregnancy so nothing to worry about in tww. Lots of other countries do them as part of the standard check up at the first pg appointment.

fruitlovingmonkey · 01/03/2016 19:51

Sorry for your car Ain but all the best cars are covered in what my Aussie friend calls "love bumps".

ChatEnOeuf · 01/03/2016 19:53

Not liking vaginas is an interesting one - did you put that on your speciality application form?! GP may not be for you - though you could do what another practice member did and just take the history and book them in with another doc for 'swabs, etc'.

DD hates dressing up - world book day is hard work for her. We're torn between Matilda (blue dress, red bow in hair - which may be a sticking point), and going in her pyjamas as Emily Brown from Emily Brown and the Thing.

Welcome, Sausage! Not sure we can keep you sane, we're more likely to fuel the crazies...but it's all good fun.

Positive affirmations you say?
I am not broken
I've done it before, I can do it again

Drove through the bottom of a rainbow today, I kid you not. Must be a sign, yes?

Ain626 · 01/03/2016 21:00

Drove through the bottom of a rainbow? Sounds magical.. here's to hoping it is some sort of sign! Grin

I'm quite happy to dress up for world book day, but no one should feel they have to. To be fair I only ever end up going simple anyhow. Google/pinterest ideas though, some people really put a lot of effort into cool costumes. I'm only jealous because I couldn't pull something like that off

I could do with some viroid pma...

Canters15 · 01/03/2016 21:02

Oh don't get me wrong, I do the vagina-ey part of my job myself, and I like to think I make the patients feel comfortable. Its just inside I'm gritting my teeth! There's no reason for it but my mum has a lot of issues at the idea of v-birth/examinations etc and has never had a smear herself so I think that's where it comes from.

I'm going to be brave and book my smear tomorrow.

Kwick709 · 01/03/2016 21:08

Viroids I am just catching up, on page 5 currently...

Anotherrubberduck follicles are what the eggs are in - egg/s released when you ovulate. I want lots so that they can collect lots of eggs, fertilise loads and then if any more than 1 make it, freeze any left overs.

stumbly you have a great way with words... you comment about piunding had me in stitches Grin

Ain I hope you are in better spirits Flowers

just creme de la jizz - LOVE IT!!!!

So having a smear test used to be one of my least favourite things... but the procedure for an IUI is VERY similar and I have had 5 of those now plus the Dummy Embryo Transfer and 3D scan on the same day but with two different speculums I am kind of over it... I actually found a position which is not complete agony for the speculum insertion: lying down, bum off bed edge, legs bent, feet near to bum.

justtheonethen · 01/03/2016 21:26

Not too far from my usual school face country! Would totally do that but apparently we must all be a fucking animal character.

chat how marvellous! Definitely a sign.

Oops ain glad no real damage done. Look after yourself missy

coribeth · 01/03/2016 23:20

Once got bitten by mosquito on vagina whilst living in Germany needless to say ended up having to see the gp who was obvs German and said to me I hope you no mind me get colleague I think he like look at your vagina wasn't quite sure how to take that so did a nervous giggle and went with it! ConfusedGrin

NameChange30 · 01/03/2016 23:22

coribeth OMG! Shock 😱 But do you mean vulva? (Vagina for vulva is a pet peeve of mine, sorry!) Either way, sounds horrendous!

CountryGal4 · 02/03/2016 05:28

Go as a bitchosarus????

Kwick709 · 02/03/2016 09:27

NFMO (news from my ovary): one dominant follie at 16mm, another at 10mm, then about 4 @ 5mm. Normally for egg to be mature it has to be over 18mm so maybe another day or so of stimming b4 egg collection.
I am in perfect timing for everything.

stumblymonkey · 02/03/2016 09:42

I got me some jizz last night.....and it all went into the correct place, not even a wet patch.

Continuing the PMA...

I am ovulating
I am releasing a juicy, big, healthy egg
I am a lovely fertile environment for a blastocyst to snuggle into
I am going to grow another human.

Have to go to the dentist in 15 mins for an extraction ConfusedSad

stumblymonkey · 02/03/2016 10:00

Oh and I lost 1lb at SW....that'll teach me for thinking I could have a cheat meal and get away with it!

Right...time to get this tooth out....how much do teeth weigh? Grin

Sausagema · 02/03/2016 10:49

I am very very spotty. Obviously I'm ragingly pregnant and it's not that I'm mid a 10 day stretch at work and knackered. Nope not at all.

Fairly certain I'm on for a gain at Sw this week. Meh.

Sent furbaby off to daycare today without his breakfast cos we slept in and dog Walker arrived before we were up. Bad mummy. Must improve if I am to be in charge of a human. Grin

Canters15 · 02/03/2016 14:30

How many dpo sausage?

Kwick your ovarian news is v exciting. Big juicy follicles. Why were you drinking milk before? I suddenly remembered this over lunch time and figured you must have done it for a pregnancy related reason so I went to starbucks and got a large chai latte. Milky.

I've decided I'm pregnant this month. I'm done with not being pregnant. Much like stumbly, I am a warm snuggly environment and my blastocyst is dividing as we speak.

Cailler · 02/03/2016 14:39

Hello from your most prolific lurker!

Entering March means that I have earned my "one year of TTC" badge so I thought that it was time to come out and introduce myself since I can no longer kid myself that I am not in this for the long haul.

My stats:
Name - Cailler
Age- 29
TTC #1 for one year with a cp last month. Thought that we had timed the dtd well this month and that I was in the tww but my 50 opks arrived this morning from UK and I got a positive so don't know what to think! There's no chance of getting husband to go again today or tomorrow since we have.. depleted his reserves shall we say!

We've recently moved country so with no job for me and no friends here yet I have becomes consumed with TTC and think of little else! Looking forward to getting to know you all and to having an outlet for my crazy!!

Kwick709 · 02/03/2016 14:55

Loving the affirmations stumbly

I gained 5lbs @ SW ... God those follicles weigh a lot Blush

Kwick709 · 02/03/2016 14:59

canters one of the leading IVF clinics gets its patients to drink copious amounts of milk as supposed to help with egg quality - which is critical. Hence why I am drinking so much... and gaining weight rapidly

Illiria · 02/03/2016 17:11

Hey cailler how many dpo did you think you were before you tested?

Ain glad you are feeling a bit better.

cori ouch. Hate mosquitos.

kwick yay follicles. Are you responding better in this regiment than you did on iui cycles?
