Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Well....yes but we both have low sex drives (only shag about once a month usually) and DP works long shifts so....hence the wanting to figure out when we really need to.

Canters15 · 03/03/2016 15:17

Viroids, I have booked my smear!!!! I am a little nervous terrified but this time next week it will all be over.

Corgi, it's going to be fine this time. I'm sure of it. I was due on Halloween so all I can say is Halloween babies are the best. Tee hee.

Missing DH like mad today. So over this working away business. I'm away this weekend as well seeing my friends from home and offered to take my mum for mothers day lunch, which I now regret as everywhere is super booked up!!

NameChange30 · 03/03/2016 15:27

Been a bit quiet on the thread lately but just popping back to say well done Canters for booking your smear test! It will be fine.

angelazul · 03/03/2016 18:19

Canters well done on booking the smear test!!

Kwick very confused re the milk now although I am very easily confused Blush

Stumbly thanks, that's put my mind at ease at bit, mine have ranged 35.69-36.19 so far. I'm a real worrywart, must learn to relax more

Kwick709 · 03/03/2016 18:25

Well done canters

angel sorry I confused you. Basically milk advice is drink whole milk in copious amounts from af to icing, then just have normal amounts. It is said to improve egg quality which is really key (apparently) but can adversely impact implantation.

This incubator is being harvested tomorrow at 8.50am.... Gulp!

angelazul · 03/03/2016 19:13

Don't apologise Kwick it's my silly. Just ordered in an Indian for dinner & had a big glass milk with it Grin

Canters15 · 03/03/2016 20:19

Good luck tomorrow kwick!

Kwick709 · 03/03/2016 20:20

well done angel
thank you canters

Right I am off to have what will be my last bath in a while :)

corgi88 · 03/03/2016 20:42

well done canters! hurray for Halloween babies Grin enjoy your bath kwick mmmmm baths.
this milk thing is interesting, I do drink a fair bit...we tend to switch between whole and semi-skim. but OMG Jersey Gold Top on cornflakes!

stumblymonkey · 03/03/2016 21:47

Kwick....wishing you all of the luck for the harvesting!!!

Do you have new mantras for harvest day?

NameChange30 · 03/03/2016 21:55

Good luck Kwick!

Catscatsandmorecats · 03/03/2016 22:10

Well done Canters

And good luck Kwick enjoy your bath tonight

Kwick709 · 04/03/2016 06:21

Morning viroids! Thanks again for all the well wishes - I feel overwhelmed in a nice way!

Okay so new mantra:
I am going to have many strong and healthy eggs collected
I am going to have my lovely eggs be fertilised by the magic potion and create strong embryos
I am going to be pregnant soon
I am in the perfect time for everything to be a success

ChatEnOeuf · 04/03/2016 07:13

Good luck today Kwick!

justtheonethen · 04/03/2016 07:13

Good luck today kwick

angelazul · 04/03/2016 07:55

Good luck for today Kwick keeping everything crossed for you!!!

LondonGirl83 · 04/03/2016 12:35

Sorry viroids for falling off the thread again. I've been off work sick for the last 3 days with a raging fever and swollen glads. Besides a headache and joint / muscle pain I have no other symptom though. I've no idea what's wrong with me but its wretched.

Any of you medical viroids have an opinion? My fever keeps spiking to 39 and above but I bring it down with paracetamol

LondonGirl83 · 04/03/2016 12:38

Angel my temp is usually between 36 and 36.2 before icing so I wouldn't worry.

kwick good luck!

canters glad you are getting your smear!

Kwick709 · 04/03/2016 14:30

So sorry to hear you are not well London I am not a medic but would advise a lot of liquids including honey and lemon and plenty of rest.

Viroids thanks again for all your warm wishes.

They got 2 eggs and I am back home now. My lovely mummy is making a start on clearling and replanting my terrace - so nice of her.

I had a bit of a wobble (aka freak out with tears) before the procedure - I just suddenly felt really overwhelmed and uncomfortable but I got thorugh it and the procedure was very quick. I have to start intramuscular injections tomorrow of Lentogest - all you medics it is with the BLUE needle - so I feel like I am completely justified having a bit of a moan.

Anyway now I am waiting to hear the news from the embryologist - should know more tomorrow. I hope my superior magic potion from the US does its work well!!!

Catscatsandmorecats · 04/03/2016 14:53

London that sounds miserable, I hope you feel better soon.

Great news Kwick on those two eggs, I think you are very brave and the wobble is totally justified. Gx gx gx that the eggs and the magic potion make some magic embryos :)

NameChange30 · 04/03/2016 15:37

London Sorry you've been sick, hope you feel better soon (is DH/DP giving you lots of TLC?)

Kwick Well done for today! I can easily imagine that it must be overwhelming. But you're doing brilliantly. My gs are firmly x for you! Smile

I don't have much to report, haven't had sex since my period finished. We're lazy and seem to prefer watching TV and falling asleep on the sofa - that's bad isn't it?! It's weird but when we haven't had sex for a while we can find it hard to get back into it. But today is CD11 so DH and I plan to get started again tonight!

NameChange30 · 04/03/2016 15:39

Actually just realised we haven't had sex for 2 weeks Blush Oh well, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off!

Canters15 · 04/03/2016 15:55

Inadvertent baby bomb moment. Just checking fb and there are photos from a baby shower for not one, but two of the people I worked with last year. Both got married in the last couple of months that I was at the trust, and it's been 7 months since I left the trust, so doing the maths they both must have got knocked up pretty quickly after their weddings. Fuck. This is so hard sometimes.

Sorry you're so ill London. Could well be viral, plenty cause joint and muscle pains, but if you're no better in a couple of days it might be worth seeing your GP given your temperature is so high.

Yay for 2 eggs kwick! How was the egg collection? Hope you've got some lovely blastocysts dividing!

Kwick709 · 04/03/2016 16:08

namechange time to get shagging methinks! Think how lucky you are to have on tap!

canters sorry about the babybombs but your time will come - remember you are in perfect time :) I am feel a tad delicate but no where near as much pain as after hysteroscopy. Sitting on sofa in jimjams dreaming of what will have for dinner (thank God for Deliveroo).

Illiria · 04/03/2016 16:58

London sorry you are feeling unwell.

Kwick yay for two eggs Smile
