Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Going to the French Alps, annual group ski trip, though obviously I won't actually be skiing, just lazing around in the mountains. Haven't actually started packing yet...

Corgi are you getting an early scan this time? Seems to be fairly standard if you've had a previous mc.

Sausagema · 12/03/2016 18:35

Corgi, the gp will increase your thyroxine by 25mcg and tsh should be checked t least once a trimester, though I prefer 6-8 weeks. Though ask your GP/midwife for some proper non Internet advice before listening to me Grin

Other than achy boobs no symptoms, though I'm SHATTERED today. I'd like some small symptoms. Today's worry stick (as OH has christened them Grin) revealed a much darker line so I am happier.

Oh kwick I know you shouldn't but I couldn't help myself if I was you!

Illiria · 12/03/2016 19:11

How much thyroxine are you both on at the moment? As i probably could have had 25mg less and still be under 2 before bfp.

corgi88 · 12/03/2016 21:29

Thanks kwick! I am actually at work on twilights so I will try some yoga later! sausage&Ill I am on 50mcg at the moment, but just upped myself to 100mcg after my bloods on Friday. My last tsh was still 4.something so I doubt it will have come down enough on 50! GP I went to book pregnancy in with was chuffing useless and said we didn't need to do anything because it was in the normal range! So I took matters into my own hands...

corgi88 · 12/03/2016 21:31

Not sure how I would go about getting an early scan- again the GP was rather complacent.... Maybe could just rock up at EPAU and beg them? Probably would put my mind at rest a lot...

FuzzyOwl · 12/03/2016 21:48

Similar to you Corgi except I got to 14 weeks and didn't bleed at all before finding out I had miscarried half my pregnancy ago. I left it another couple of weeks but my body just seemed determined not to miscarry naturally. I have no symptoms at all (and I am good at imagining symptoms from before AF has gone, let alone waiting for ovulation!) and am just constantly worrying; I can't even take any reassurance from the lack of spotting. I am umming and ahhing about an early scan because part of me is just in denial and feels that if I don't go for a scan, then I can't get bad news but the other part of me is fully aware that I need to do something to find out and far better to know sooner. I don't know.

Sausagema · 12/03/2016 21:49

I'm not on thyroxine, I just know about these things Wink

Hmm Corgi, EPC where I am will only offer reassurance scans to women who have had 2 mc or more, which is crap. when do you see a midwife? She may be able to refer you in. Or you could ring them directly and hope you get to speak to someone sympathetic?

I'm jusy going to pay for one, I think there's a place near here that does early ones on offer for £50, will be worth it though, especially as OH may not be here for my 12 week.

Canters15 · 13/03/2016 07:42

Ermmmm look what happened this morning! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!

angelazul · 13/03/2016 08:13

Oh wow Canters that's one hell of a line - congratulations!!!

ChatEnOeuf · 13/03/2016 08:51

Ooh, Canters! Lovely line!

Our EPAU will offer an early reassurance scan for a previous MC or MMC. I'd call and ask - if it's a no, they do you have any pals in gynae that you trust? Wink

ScottishLady7 · 13/03/2016 09:00

Woohoo!!!!! Congrats canters!!!! Gorgeous line Grin
