Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 10, Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

ever that's interesting about women not taking husband's surnames in Spain. I wonder why it still remains a widely-follower tradition here but not there. I haven't taken my husband's surname either. Not sure what we'll do if/when we have a baby. Probably double barrel their surname I think. We have discussed both changing our names to be double barrelled, and I think that's an option. What do others who have different names to their partner think they'd do?

Good to see you back bellini! Fx for this month.

snow how you holding up today?

starky no wonder you're going mad! You have insane willpower.

SuchaJem · 15/02/2016 08:51

House hunting how exciting elle, we're hoping to be looking too later this year. Buying in London taking us slightly longer than planned 😳

Had a very chilled weekend, been rather moody though. I got so cross at DH for asking for my opinion repeatedly on what to wear. Poor DH is treading on eggshells. I need to get my emotions in check!

I've got my running stuff today - it'll be my first run in about 6 months.. May be more of a jog than I think I fear.

MeadowHay · 15/02/2016 08:51

Ever Well, I am only 22 and I have been on BC since I was 17 (pill and then depo-provera), but before I did yes my cycles were like this Sad Extremely heavy periods with flooding since about 6 months after I started them when I was 12, and by the time I was 16 I had a 2 week cycle which returned as soon as my BC as finished - one week of bleeding, the first 4 days of which are horrendous, and then one week no bleeding, then one week bleeding etc. I don't think I can see a doctor here in France because I would need to go straight to a gynae (the system is different) and I can only afford to see one that doesn't charge extra fees, and there are only two in the area and apparently you have to wait months for an appt. We return to the UK end of June/beginning of July so by the time I got an appt I would probably not have time to do anything other than maybe a few investigative tests. My healthcare here is not completely free either and we are on a low income so it makes more sense really to just wait another couple of months and use the NHS when we get back. I'm not sure if I am ovulating or not but even if I am I basically have no luteal phase at all. Sad AF has come today, FF doesn't know what to do with me!

Lara, me and DH double-barelled both our names together when we got married and children will have the same double-barelled surname. I wasn't going to take his surname and we already decided children would have them double-barelled but I thought it would be nice to have the same name as them so I decided to double-barell mine as well and DH thought the same so he did too. Smile

Evergreen15 · 15/02/2016 09:01

Jem it is as if you were describing my DP! Lovely lovely but I am always pushing the relationship. Very cautious, wants but won't... But lovely nevertheless Smile
Kwick I have to say that we are finding the chukka pretty exhausting and stressful, so a bit of magic potion would be good Wink

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 15/02/2016 09:04

Lots of catching up to do....

snow big hugs & Flowers for you.

meadow our future children will have double barrel too, I like the idea of us all doing it but DH refuses to change his name and then so do I!

Loved reading all the proposals. jem I gave a DH like yours, very passive and laid back about the 'big' things in life which drives me insane every now and again.

So I'm about 7-8dpo today. Boobs still sore and noticed some blue veins on them - they must be 'new' as I've never noticed them before. But maybe I'm just wanting something desperately that isn't there!
Also been keeping an eye on my cervix...still a bit of cm and position is low and softish. I can't remember what is normal for me this time of the cycle so completely irrelevant.

Evergreen15 · 15/02/2016 09:05

Ah I understand Meadow, yes, if you are coming in June then it makes sense waiting. Smile

Evergreen15 · 15/02/2016 09:15

Zazzles those look like positive signs! Shock

SuchaJem · 15/02/2016 09:29

Sounds like a few of us have to take the reigns in our rellies. I definitely notice a trend with our friends that it tends to be the women who Get Things Done. Chaps seem to be a bit happier to sit back and be told what to do. Which is all very well until you are impatient for them to do the big stuff like put a ring on it or get baby making!

zazzles that does sounds positive, fx for you. When is your AF due? I think your cycle must be close ish to mine.

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 15/02/2016 09:48

Thanks ever and jem - I'm not getting my hopes up as implantation may not have even happened. But then why would I have such sore boobs?! Usually feel a little tender but never this much. I can't be having symptoms yet surely??

Jem af due on Sunday I think, so agesssss away!

stardusty5 · 15/02/2016 10:12

snow Thanks i lnow how you feel. FX for you, and hope that if af does come then it's at least on time!

Just catching up here. CD 11. Nothing to report. FW starting on thursday according to FF, Friday according to Ovia but dtd eod anyway. I'm on holiday this week so increasing my activity levels. Went to legs bums and tums this morning!

islandgirl99 · 15/02/2016 10:23

kat on the EPO i take 1500mg every morning from start of cycle up to O. You're not meant to take it after O in case you're pregnant, as it can bring on contractions, so during the 2ww after O i take flaxseed oil instead. I bought both on Amazon.

Ni my DH wasn't that bothered about getting married but it really mattered to me. We'd moved in together at start of summer 2014 and had talked about starting trying for kids towards the end of the year, so I'd been eagerly waiting the proposal..... which never happened. Lots of ups and downs as we had amazing romantic nights out and I kept thinking that tonight would surely be the night, but nothing! I ended up having to ask him when he was ever going to ask me, to which he admitted he'd been thinking about it and had nearly done it when we were on hols during the summer. I explained how much it really mattered to me but that I didn't want the whole massive white wedding, I'd be happy with just the 2 of us and even said that I'd be happy to organise all the wedding stuff myself. So, still a little reluctantly, he took me out to look at rings, then about a week later, just before he was about to go away for a few weeks on a business trip, he arranged a whole lovely night out. He was being all mysterious, had me meet him on the Friday evening after work where he was waiting for me with red roses. Then we went to an amazing restaurant for dinner, then he ordered champagne. Then we left and at a quiet spot as we were walking along the the river he stopped under a group of trees that were all covered in fairy lights, got down on one knee, produced the ring and popped the question. It was amazing, even though not entirely a surprise by that point! I then organised the whole secret wedding, just us and our witnesses, but in a lovely boutique hotel. I still got a nice dress so we were both dressed like for a "proper" wedding and we had a photographer for a couple of hours to capture the whole thing. We got married on the Friday then we stayed in the hotel till Monday for a kind of mini-moon and only got round to calling and telling our families on the Sunday as we just spent our whole wedding weekend together. It was perfect. And best of all, he's now delighted that we got married! I spent a little while joking with him early on about how he didn't even want to get married but I've had to stop now as he didn't like it lol!

So, sorry for what's turned out to be a huge message, but in short, don't lose hope! My DH is now delighted that we're married and even says how happy he is and how it really has made a difference (and has completely blocked out that he wasn't really keen on the idea to begin with lol!)

celizabe · 15/02/2016 10:45

Hi ladies, TMI warning - I'm CD 29, with AF due on CD 30/31. Yesterday (CD 28) I had some brown discharge, which I thought was just an early start to AF, so last night when I was going to bed I popped a tampon in expecting it to be AF on the way so hitting today ... but it isn't. Discharge seems to be disappearing completely now and no sign of AF.

I've had brown spotting before and after AF before but they're normally one leading to the other iykwim - no break in between. I don't have any cramping which I normally would if it was AF.

I don't think you can have implantation bleeding this close to AF so do any of you have any great ideas? I'm stumped!!

Feefeefs · 15/02/2016 12:15

Ugh I have the cold and extremely nauseated. Think 0-3 DPO and already symptom spottingBlush

Intense sex week continues. . .

SuchaJem · 15/02/2016 13:22

*zazzles Thanks ever and jem - I'm not getting my hopes up as implantation may not have even happened. But then why would I have such sore boobs?! Usually feel a little tender but never this much. I can't be having symptoms yet surely??

Jem af due on Sunday I think, so agesssss away!*

Sore boobs I find one of the most confusing, as they 100% = AF coming for me. But they also seem to be one of the most common early pg symptoms too. FGS boobs can’t you just help us out and do something different for a change?!

Mine is due the Tuesday after Zazz, so we can wait out the crazy together.

celizabe I’m not sure about spotting just before AF due. Can it take time for implantation blood to come down? Fx for you, do you think you might test?

feefs lol @ intense sex week! Does anyone else end up feeling a bit saddle sore? I definitely do!

celizabe · 15/02/2016 13:27

Hiya Sucha, think I'm probably in wait and see mode. I would be due to test tomorrow evening anyway so if I can manage it, I'll wait until then but will probably break way before that!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/02/2016 13:29

ever not testing is the way to go. I get past the obsessive need by waking up and immediately going for a wee and flushing! Don't get me wrong, I desperately WANT to test! I'm dying to test! It's doing my head in NOT testing! I have tests sat in my cupboard waiting anxiously to be wee'd on! But I'm not! If I had normal length cycles I'd probably be more inclined to poas, but my tww is more of a 3-3.5 ww. Which is soul destroying. Especially as I woke up with a spot on my back, which is a sure sigh that af is approaching!

miley fx you're past the sickness soon mate! Flowers

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/02/2016 13:33

celi I've had stop/start spotting before now. Especially when i used to use tampons at night. Honestly, if you can, give it a few days and if af doesn't show up, then test. Fx for you Flowers

feef let the sperm games begin! May the eggs be ever in your favour. that's what I'm calling the next thread!

OP posts:
celizabe · 15/02/2016 15:21

Thanks Starky, I'm leaning towards it being AF but that's probably being in protection mode as much as anything else. I've already got my jumbo OPK kit so I'm all prepped for next week if it is AF, so I'll do my best to avoid testing for now.

LOL on the eggs be ever in your favour ... that's got to be the new mantra!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/02/2016 15:46

No probs celi is this your first cycle ttc? If so, first is definitely the worst! It just becomes a grind after that! I'm now waiting not patiently for af to show this weekend, unless my body decides to do a super extender on my cycle and I get another 42 day-er! It's and least 38 days as it is, I don't need any more days adding on! Roll on cycle 3!

Things to be thankful for - Dh is off work tonight! Although last night a minor celebrity we had to Google her apparently chatted him up! She must have come on pretty strong for him to notice because he's not good at reading signs. I've literally seen someone waggle their boobs at him, give him their number on a bit of napkin and tell him she wants a go on his dick and I STILL had to explain that she was flirting! So unless this girl flapped her labia in his direction and was explicit about her intentions I can only assume he's getting better at noticing when someone fancies him! Grin

Feefeefs · 15/02/2016 16:32

Ha ha starky I like the new bread title, also really hoping the eggs are in my favour!

Definitely saddle sore sucha was really enjoying it but now just a bit knackered! DH is loving it tho, I think he had a bit of performance anxiety and now that that has turned out not to be a worry he's just delighted and quite into it! Blush

First cycle Defo the worst celi then you just kinda get into the rhythm of it. My DH is certainly more on board now that it didn't just happen straight away. I think he was actually a good thing as it gave him time to get his head around the idea. (Who I am kidding still would have preferred to have caught cycle 1!!!)

Mileymoocow · 15/02/2016 16:39

starky Hahahahaha @ flapped her labia at him 😂 you've made my day better. Can you name names?? I'm intrigued. Can I also point out that while it wasn't a usual af symptom for me, I too had a couple of big spots on my back before I tested so definitely don't count yourself out!

Sickness started to subside at around lunch time so I got in a sandwich while I could but I can feel it starting up again. I have my 5 year old niece stage school performance thingy to go to tonight and am not sure I can cope!

So many romantic stories! I'm not sure if my OH will ever propose. I don't nag him to, and he does like the idea of marriage etc. Just not the price tag! I'm not fussed either way right now, but do want to share a surname with my babies one day

twinkydink · 15/02/2016 16:41

I think I'm out for this month ladies, just had some very light brownish spotting which is how AF started last month!! Gutted but not surprised as dp was away for half of FW. Want it to full on arrive so can move on to next cycle!!

FXSkip · 15/02/2016 16:54

Afternoon ladies! Its been impossible to keep up with you lot!! Congrats to those with good news, hugs to those who didn't or got caught out by AF.

Mine is coming to an end, so I'm getting ready for ISW (FW is so last year) I've got EPO, preseed, OPKs and my sexy knickers all ready to go - roll on cycle 3. Seriously though, aside from all my props I am feeling much more laid back now. I know that we'd be happy adopting if it came to it, so I'm not as desperate as I was 1st cycle. We're just going to DTD when the mood strikes, and not let it be a chore. I'm sticking with the tracking out of interest, and I might try one cycle with props and then next without to see if there is any difference. I agree with Feefeefs about OH feeling more relaxed now too, and I'm glad that its taken some time as I understand the process so much better now. I've stopped eating sugar for lent - any other lenters out there?!

Chocaholic88 · 15/02/2016 17:02

Hey lovely ladies! I'm going to be awol for the next few days as location managing a shoot then have family staying at the weekend. Will defo poke my head in when I can! It's just a pain logging in via my phone all the time! If anyone wants to PM I'm happy to give my mobile number and chat by WhatsApp because I actually go on there every 5 minutes for work (honest!) Lol!

My nausea has finally gone hurrayyyyyy!

Hope everyone is feeling happy and loved up. Hugs, chocolate and possibly alcohol for those who aren't.

Catch up with you all in a few days ❤❤❤

Feefeefs · 15/02/2016 17:08

Ha ha fxskip I hope ISW catches on mostly for having to explain to newcomers!
