ElleSarcasmo, because I'm 39 I went to my GP for advice after DP and I had been trying to conceive for about half a year. She seemed unworried but suggested a blood test to check hormone levels, just for reassurance. But she only said to take the blood test after ovulation (without specifying further) so the first time I went in the day after ovulation and of course hormone levels were way too low. The second time I got the day wrong (d'oh), and now I finally went in on the right day.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to ring our insurance company this afternoon to see if I would need to upgrade but I'm leaning towards booking. This ttc business creates lots of questions.

Thanks all. I tested this morning and there was no line 😞 This is my first cycle trying to conceive so I thought it would be too good to be true! Still a few days before my period is due so will wait until the weekend and try again. Thanks for all the replies 😊

bel wait till af day, then test the day after. Those super drug tests are a nightmare for early/shiny evap. If you go back to it in a few hours it will probably have the same shiny grey evap line. The eared you test, the less accurate the results.

2 days til official test date and it's going sloooooow. I dunno wether to wait until 2nd Feb (which would be af date if I had a 28 day cycle on Ovia) or test 29th which is what ovia is suggesting due to my 26 day cycle last time. I'm not even sure when I'm due af now she's mindfucked me that much.
