Mrsunsure, I can't offer much advice but I totally get where you're coming from as I was counting on the HSG helping me out too, and I really don't think it has. Please don't count yourself as totally out yet, everyone seems to have totally different experiences of getting their BFP including early spotting, no symptoms etc. But I know it is all so disheartening x

I would guess its to do with the drastic change in hormones, but I really don't know, what does it say if you google it? x

Try to stay positive Mrs, the black cm could be implantation bleeding? You're not out until AF arrives.

Sunshine, what happened at your first NHS referral appt? I have mine on Weds and wondering what to expect. Do you think I should tell them that I've tried 2 cycles on cyclogest?

At my first NHS appt they just went through my previous blood test results and the SA, asked us general questions about lifestyle and discussed anymore tests we would need and future treatment options eg IVF. They said the next step was an internal scan but as I'd had it privately I was referred for the HSG. I think mention the progesterone as they may say it is suitable for you to try something else like clomid to boost the whole process. Hope it all goes ok, let us know. x

Friendlycav · 17/04/2016 10:53

How long was your LP last cycle with Clomid Mrs?

Thanks for the advice ladies. I'm going to pay for a private scan on Tues as the dates work and I'm tired of waiting. I'm quite scared to know what my AFC (Antral follicle count) is but I guess it is better to have all the info and will be good to have that at my NHS appt on Weds. Just had a bit of a meltdown to DH about it all, it's so shit isn't it.

My private consultant just called (on a Sunday!!) to say that the results are in from my AMH bloods and he is concerned that they are fairly low for my age at 4.5. They should be much higher and he wants me to go back in to discuss treatment. I'm so upset, I'm currently out having a family lunch so can't even tell DH. I just don't think it will happen for me now. Sad

Please don't despair Sunshine. I don't know too much about AMH levels but know it's still possible to get pregnant at levels less than 1 so please don't worry. I'm having my AFC measured next week (measures ovarian reserve like AMH) and I'm freaking out that it will be low for my age but you know what.. better the devil you know and it's much better to be equipped with all the stats than live in ignorant bliss. I hope you are ok and please do not worry. You are under the best care of a consultant and you are making positive steps forward. Don't google or stress until your next and appt.. and that's an order! Sending big hugs x

sunshinegirl12 · 17/04/2016 16:21

I can't book another appointment for a couple of weeks as am away with family so I know its going to be a horrible week of worry. I did ask if there is still any chance of natural conception and he said yes, but to be honest I was too shocked to ask for full details and couldnt think of anything else to say or ask. I'm only 31. I really think now my chances are very low of natural conception, I feel like its game over. Sad Sad Sad

So I've done a bit of (obsessive) googling about low AMH, from what I can gather it doesn't necessarily mean my eggs are rubbish just that there aren't as many. I'm going to start taking Co Q10 ubiquinol as this helps egg quality, if I've not got as many I need to make sure the ones I do have are top notch. Also going to start reading 'it starts with the egg,' has anyone read this?

I am gutted (and can't really stop crying) but there are still options like IVF, I suppose if it came to it I could use a donor egg although I've not got my head around that yet, aslong as I get to have my own family in the end Sad x

OrianaBanana · 17/04/2016 19:42

sunshine I'm sorry you've had bad news. Please don't despair though, your consultant thinks you can conceive naturally and forewarned is fore-armed - you can prepare things better when you know what you're dealing with. God knows most of my hormone levels were shit (my LP on average 7 days) so God knows how I got here - I am just hoping it sticks but you never know. Fingers crossed for that, and for all of us xx

Sunshinegirl2015 · 17/04/2016 21:52

Just catching up on the thread. I've been busy as we just bought a puppy so it's taking up most of my time. I'm smitten!

Mrs has AF got you yet? I have my fingers crossed its implantation.

Sunshine at least they think you can conceive which is better than not being able to there is still a chance.

I'm 10DPO today and still on off light cramping. Also when I first wipe when going to the loo I feel like if I squint there's a slight pink tinge but then not sure if I imagine it.

Oriana I hope it's a sticky bean!

Sunshinegirl2015 · 18/04/2016 12:51

AF got me this morning. 10day LP. If AF was going to arrive I was hoping it'd be a short LP as I had three blood tests for progesterone last week which would prove my point of having short LP. Some months it's 7days. only mild pain thought which for me is very welcome.

Called to book my HSG. Was told to call back on cycle day 1 next month as there's no one there on Monday and they only do Monday's. Last month I was told to call back as there was no appointments as it was Easter Monday.

Grrrr just want to get it out of the way. Angry

Hi Ladies,
I really hope you don't mind me posting this... I have been following the thread as I've struggled with my 7 day LP but I have finally fallen pregnant!

I live in Belgium and the healthcare here so far has been excellent, I can't fault it. I had been struggling alone for a while and went to my local Doctor in January. In the following 2 1/2 months I had ultrasounds and 4 rounds of bloods plus 3 consultant appointments. Everything was normal, including my progesterone. However, the doctor here explained that our bodies can be slightly resistant to the progesterone we make. Therefore, despite normal levels, a progesterone boost may help. I tried it, only one pessary a day and I fell pregnant on my first cycle.

I'm not suggesting this is the answer for everyone but it worked for me so it might just work for others.

Keep trying Smile
Roxy x

I had a light period around week 3-4, my normal time. Partly what concerns me but might be reassuring for others trying...! Confused
