Hi all, I keep falling off this thread! My lp is now back to normal so that's good.

I just came on to say I had acupuncture for a couple of months last year and got my bfp. My prog was only 17 and we were mid referral to the NHS. I believe it worked for me and I did ov after the first couple of sessions (went when my period arrived). Unfortunately that preg ended in mmc. I've just started it again and I'm hoping it works this time too. Keep going with it sunshine as someone also say it takes about 3-6 months to see if it works. I with another lady who uses moxa as she believes it really helps with ttc and also gives the sticks to her patients to use at home in the tww. I will be getting mine this week.

Good luck to everyone.

sunshinegirl12 · 08/03/2016 17:48

Thanks, I will stick with it for now. My best friend had her 12 week scan today which I think is another reason I'm so down (esp as I know she will soon palm the baby off on her parents as soon as the novelty wears off!!) I do wonder if it will ever happen and I'm scared it will get to the point of needing IVF etc x

mascaraisamust · 08/03/2016 17:57

Friendly carry on for at least 14dpo. I know it might be a bfn but keep going x

mascaraisamust · 08/03/2016 17:58

Sorry to hear some of you are down Flowers xx

Friendlycav · 08/03/2016 18:08

Thanks for your advice ladies, I'll carry on with cyclogest for another couple of days x

OrianaBanana · 09/03/2016 09:39

Ooh AF 6 dpo (possibly)! Must be some sort of record! Hmm

Hope everyone's well today Flowers

mrsmugoo · 09/03/2016 12:03

Sorry to hear that oriana :(
I've had AF on the 6th day too - so fucking depressing. Think that was what actually prompted me to go to the docs.

OrianaBanana · 09/03/2016 13:04

Still waiting to hear about SA for DH Angry but today possibly I find out if I have chlamydia or not yay. I don't think I do but I had to have the test for the referral.

Sorry too Oriana x

Mrs, are you using OPKs? I think cm usually happens a day or 2 before ovulation but I don't usually get much. I would def check with your clinic to get their advice. I believe ultrasound scans are safe and are in no way harmful to an egg or embryo.

Nothing new my end, I'm on 13dpo which is unheard of for me so even though BFN at least the cyclogest has really improved my luteal phase and I feel I'm at least on a level playing field now.

Friendlycav, good news about LP, test tomorrow and if bfn then stop. At least things will be more regular, just got to get the timings right then Wink remember keep going for at least 3 days after a positive opk! I ovulated really late after my peak!

Friendlycav · 09/03/2016 17:35

Thanks Mrs, really hope the clomid works for you. If I have no luck with cyclogest then I think the next step for me would be clomid. I'm sure the cm and cramping are both good signs that the clomid is working and you will have a strong ovulation so I don't think you have anything to be concerned about. What is the scan for on Friday? To check the size of follicles? Wishing you loads of luck x

Friendlycav · 09/03/2016 17:36

Thanks for all your advice mascara x

Can they not up your dose of clomid?
Also will they scan you again so they can see when you do ovulate?

Don't get too down - I'm sure there are more options to try. You're in the system now!

I've been thinking of you today so really sorry to hear this Mrsunsure. I have read that many fertile women have anovulatory cycles so I'm sure that must be it and you've just been unlucky this cycle. Please don't dispair, you are in the best hands and they are the experts and are continuing the investigations. Sending you a huge hug Flowers Chocolate x

OrianaBanana · 11/03/2016 20:10

So sorry mrsunsure. I agree with Friendly and whatever happens, you're in the right hands to sort it out Flowers xx

I'm so sorry mrsu Flowers I agree with others that you're in the system now and your situation will be reassessed following further tests. Don't know if you'd consider it but acupuncture is great for ovulation issues. I hardly got a positive opk until I tried acupuncture. Also as others have said a random anovulatory cycle is common and hopefully it is just that.
