helloooooo!
hello to everyone i dont know on here and thenks for missing me ready and Mrs!
still havent caught up with everyone but i am hoping to get a chance today inbetween patients!
Mrs - i love your optimism for me! AS IF my dh would have any rambo sperms likely to survive after 5 days! especially as his supply was probably quite diminished anyway from our BDing marathon in the weeks before. i suppose i can hope! if i did get a BFP this month then i dont think anyone would believe me! well done on all your BDing by the way! you certainly deserve a bfp this month! i am impressed that you have made an appt to see your gp too. i said i would if i wasn't pg by jan, but now jan is here i am putting it off! maybe i will wait till april cos that will of been a year ttc by then.
going for 3 and honeyapple........i will be sooooooooooooooooo jealous if you get your bfps this month! i feel the most similar to you 2 cos i am ttc no. 3 too. obviously i will be happy, but still jealous! i remember when ttc my first baby it seemed like EVERYONE all around me was either pg or had a baby and now it seems like everywhere i look there are people with 3 kids or pg with a third! funny how you notice these things when you are looking!

i was chatting to one of my friends last night about middle children (she is one and so am i!) and i ended up deciding i would like 4 kids now! guess i need to get pg this time first really!

good luck to everyone testing soon!

greedyforbabies · 16/01/2007 12:32

fettle - thanks for missing me too! so you are straight back into ttc then are you? good for you! must be tricky not knowing where you are in your cycle, but also a lot more relaxing too. i know what you mean about quality of eggs with long cycles, i have often thought that too. do you have to go back and see your gp to get your cycle sorted/ investigated? or are they leaving you to recover for a bit first?

goingfor3 · 16/01/2007 12:36

Wow four would certainly be a challenge. Alot of people around me have three children, it almost seem to be the norm around here. I hope your dp did have some super sperms!

I am cd25 today and have been feeling a bit quesy today but I was ill with a nasty bug on sunday so it could be that. My boobs are still sore but it could be because I keep squashing them to see if they hurt! I really am going insane here!!!!!

Anyone testing today?

dressedupnowheretogo · 16/01/2007 12:41

well went for new patient check asked for a pregnancy test and it was bfn

she says til i stop night feeding it wont happen

im gutted

honeyapple · 16/01/2007 12:50

Hi,
Well my cheapo tests arrived this a.m so i did do one....but BFN... AF still another 4 days away so result not exactly unpredictable.
TBH I'm feeling less hopeful the nearer AF date comes. Got a bit of a lower back pain and some stabby kinda pains now and then, so I dunno what to think. I think I should write a diary of all symptoms so i can refer to them...because I dunno whether i got these kind of feelings last month...mmmmm

I'm getting stressed thinking about only having a couple of months to TTC for a 2007 baby. i dont want to have a due date around xmas cos have already booked a holiday. Preferably baby would be a couple of months old by then... it all seems so silly thinking about dates so far in advance but i cant help it. Its seriously doing my head in!

Good luck goingfor3. and everyone else.

honeyapple · 16/01/2007 12:51

Oh and Greedy I would really love 4!

goingfor3 · 16/01/2007 12:58

Maybe you'll have twins so you don't have to go through this again. It all seemed so much easier the last couple of times!

honeyapple · 16/01/2007 13:13

I hope not!
Dont think I could handle 2 at once!
Also- I cannot imagine ever being able to carry 2 babies for 9 months. I felt like a watermelon about to burst when PG with my DD and she only weighed 7.6 lbs.

greedyforbabies · 16/01/2007 13:54

i would LOVE twins! (i think!)
i know what you mean about dates honeyapple! i cant bear that i wont have a baby in 2007, it has to be this year, but i would rather sooner cos ds starts big school next jan! i know with my crappy long cycle that i cant have one till november now and it seems sooooooooooooooooooooo far away!
4 is a bit of a dream, but i have to say since i have decided i would like 4 (only last night!) it seems to have taken the pressure off this time a bit!.........sounds daft i know, but i was worried about a third one being left out cos there will be a bigger age gap than between my ds and dd, but if i had 4 then no one would be left out!

fettle · 16/01/2007 13:55

Hi all

Think you tend to give birth at least 4 weeks earlier with twins, so it wouldn't be the full 9 months, Honey!

I had 6-mth-old twins round on Sunday and they were so cute, but then I only saw them for 2 hours and when they both started crying at once, it was pretty noisy! But I'm not as scared of the idea of twins as I once was!

MrsMc - hope you are staying positive!

Greedy - so good to see you back. i've missed you and so glad you've ov'd! But shame DH may have missed it - but I have heard of people conceiving 7 days after the event, so don't give up all hope yet!

Well I had EWCM last Saturday and my temp rose on Tuesday morning, so probably about 8/9 DPO now. Boobs were bigger and very sore, but Boob monitor (DH) thinks they've shrunk again now and I've had rumbling AF-like pains for last couple of days, so don't think i'm going to have a miracle and conceive straight after mc, but it was a worth a go.

Has anyone ever or know of anyone who ever has conceived after having AF-like pains, but AF didn't arrive? Think i'm going to be gutted when AF arrives, as really missing my mc baby at the moment. Someone on another thread said they were 7weeks and gave their due date, which was about a week after mine and I couldn't believe that I would be over 8 weeks pg by now

Anyway, must remain positive - yes, Greedy, i'm already on the referral list for further investigation - initially as to why my cycles are so long and irregular and its taken so long to conceive, but now also as I've had 2 mc's, I was told to keep the appointment, so they can investigate them further.

Right, at work, so really must concentrate. I will try and catch up more tonight - if DH lets me!!

take care all
x

honeyapple · 16/01/2007 13:58

Well I was really wanting to have a baby before september as DD is starting school then, but i missed the boat on that one...so now i dont care about it! Just not over Christmas, please!
I have been surfing for info on early PG symptoms for the last hour as have not a lot to do at the moment. DD all day at playgroup today, so am feeling a bit lost!
Anyway was happy to see that lower back pain can be a symptom of PG... was moaning about it a few posts earlier. Boobs are tingling again- although not as much as a few days ago.
Is you DH back yet greedy?

honeyapple · 16/01/2007 14:01

Fettle- pmsl at your boob monitor- sounded very scientific until i read on...
Well then if twins only for 8 months, then i wouldnt mind! Might squeeze them into August...

goingfor3 · 16/01/2007 14:06

Fettle with my third pregnancy I had period like pains for quite a while. When I booked in at my GP's he said that they were streching pains and would probably feel more noticable with each pregnancy.

I used to be terrified o f the idea of haning twins but it doesn't bother me so much now, it would be really hard for a good few months but it would all be worthwhile to see them enjoy each others company. There are twins in my family so I think I'm trying to convince myself all would be okay if it did happen!!!!

goingfor3 · 16/01/2007 14:07

If you had an August baby it would staart school really young, you could have a september baby for a whole extra year!

honeyapple · 16/01/2007 14:32

I know- my niece was a late august baby and when she started school i just thought she was sooo little... I just have this image of having birthday parties in the garden on a sunny late summer afternoon....
I have 2 winter babes already- so its always difficult to think of new and interesting cold weather parties!
(sounds pretty trivial to those without babies yet, i do apologise.)

Flossam · 16/01/2007 14:32

Hello everyone. Just popping in!

Just wanted to say Fettle, before my BFP and M/C last year I was convinced that the first cycle of TTC had not worked. I was wrong then.

This time around I was at work on New years day, again didn't really think I was pregnant, but you still hope don't you? I remember getting AF cramps (it was day 27) and feeling so incredibly p*ssed off. I was talking to a colleague who knew I was TTC and joking about getting next christmas off and I told her it didn't seem to be working. I had the cramps every day (worse in the am) for 4 days. I was wearing sanitary protection, that is how convinced I was! I got my BFP three days late in the end. The only thing I can think which was different about my cycle last month was that my boobs got sore gradually rather than all at once, IYSWIM. Hope that cheers you up - because you never do know.

Good luck to everyone testing soon. Thinking of you all. xxx

honeyapple · 16/01/2007 14:34

Oh meant to say, I remember vividly having crampy abdominal pains in early PG with DD. SO much so that I ended up having a early scan at 5 wks to rule out ectopic. It was very weird to have such an early scan as you could see this tiny heart beat, even though the embryo was only the size of a grain of rice.

greedyforbabies · 16/01/2007 14:46

oh honeyapple! i had a scan at 5 and 6 wks too with my ds and you writing that reminded me how cute the little tiny kidney bean looks. I WANT ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! and nope.....dh isn't back yet! the date he was due to come back has changed a couple of times and i have told him if it changes again not to bother coming back at all...not sure if i really mean it, but i am seriously pissed off at him putting work before us all the time, so he needs a reality check!

FactsAndFigures · 16/01/2007 14:50

Hi All

honeyapple & goingfor3 - Reading with interest about your abdominal cramps in early pregnancy. My AF is 1 day late and I've been cramping on and off since Friday evening. More so yesterday and today.

They're not painful cramps more of a dull ache but enough for me to dig out the hot water bottle this morning!

Apart from that I've got no other pregnancy symptoms (that I know of!) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the cramps are a sign but I'm half expecting AF at anytime although, thinking on it, I don't normally have menstrual cramps until AF arrives in earnest

angie17 · 16/01/2007 15:28

Hi I have been lurking for a while and hoped that I wouldn't be able to post due to positive result but here I am. However a/f was due yesterday CD28 and no sign. Been spotting since cd27 although tbh it has been the smallest amount (none today). I have been having cramps for the last 10 days or so which is strange as i usually only get them the day before. I have to admit that I have done a few tests and all BFN. Only used cheapies so might try my best to hold out a few more days and buy a more expensive one.

Good luck to everyone

lizziemun · 16/01/2007 15:34

Fettle,

That was me i found out i was pg last week at 7 weeks gone, been to the doctor and due date comfirmed as 30/08/07.

fettle · 16/01/2007 15:43

Oh Lizziemun - I don't think it was you, as it was on another thread discussing early scans people have had. But anyway, everyone please don't think I meant anything bad about it - I'm so pleased for everyone who's pg. I just want to be pg myself!! And I'm currently wallowing in self-pity having been TTC no2 for nearly 2 years now, with 2 mc in the meantime.

Anyway, Lizzie, I hope you are feeling well within yourself?

take care, good luck & and enjoy it!!

greedyforbabies · 16/01/2007 15:45

fettle.....i thought you said you were busy today?! still lurking like me then!
it must be so tough for you at the moment, i think you are amazing if that makes you feel any better!

greedyforbabies · 16/01/2007 15:46

i have just ordered 30 opks! should see me through next month! i wasn't goign to use them anymore, but i have changed my mind after this month! only £11.88 with 4 free pg tests from sme fertility! BARGAIN!

honeyapple · 16/01/2007 16:03

Factsandfigures - have you tested? I would have if I were you!
Angie17- hello and welcome to the thread.
I hope you get a BFP soon. I had a similar experience a couple of months ago. AF ended up being 5 days late (v unusual for me)- I did lots of PG tests- cheap and expensive ones, and all BFN. It was horrible!
Greedy- sounds a bargain to me too! Good luck and dont get too cross with DH. I guess he doesnt feel the need to return home at the moment in the TTC stakes as you post OV. But still is a pain when work seems to come first. My DP works from home- except in office today- hurrah! It's nice to have a day to myself!
