Hurray! Congratulations Nettee, we're all really jealous but v happy for you too!

Hello MrsMcJnr, welcome back! Glad you had a relaxing time and DH is so co-operative at the mo ;)

I'm CD11 today (easy to remember coz it's the same as the date this month!), due to OV on Sunday. We've had sex (yes Ready, real sex! ) already in the past week, probably coz we had about 2 weeks when we couldn't - DH had a minor op on his foot, and then AF - so we felt like we had to make up for lost time! So feeling pretty good, just hoping we can keep it up through the weekend.

We're thinking about booking a holiday in June/July at the mo. It's amazing how many stories I've had of people who were TTC for months/years/centuries (ok I'm exaggerating) without success, and then gave up trying and had a relaxing holiday as a couple, only to find they were pg when they got back. So now I can't help thinking, "what if that's what we need, and I've got to wait until June/July for it?!?!" By that time we'll have been trying for a year I know some of you have probably been trying longer, but I just don't know how to stay positive for that long!!!

geekInPigtails · 11/01/2007 17:20

LOL just read that back and realised it sounded like DH had AF! You know what i mean anyway

peanutbutter · 11/01/2007 17:39

well done nettee. enjoy the ante-natal boards

still feeling terribly tearful here and i'm rarely like that with TOM since past few years. I am on a low carb diet though which may be contributing. oh i dunno. af due friday/saturday...

MrsBeee · 11/01/2007 18:36

hooray Nettee, wonderful news for you! congratulations!

I got AF today

Really gutted! Must also mean I am coming down with something as feeling really sick and tired. DH has bought dinner tonight so I am going to sit and wallow for all I'm worth. Here's to the Febraury thread and lots of good luck for next month.

Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you still waiting and wishing you much baby dust x

beansprout · 11/01/2007 18:46

Ready - we know you are not like that but then again, we talk to you alot sometimes writing can be misconstrued I think, don't worry, we know the real you!

Ahhh system is so slow that I've only just got in and now have to go and watch ER.... I'll come back in the morning!! Sorry!!!

Eaglebird · 11/01/2007 21:26

Nettee - been catching up & have just read about your wonderful good news - congratulations!

fettle · 11/01/2007 21:28

Hello All - How you all doing?

Congratulations Nettee & Lizziemun - great news!!

Sorry to those with AF - not so great news!! Here's hoping the month of love brings some more BFPS in Feb!!!

Ready, I've been away for a few days and have only skimmed the thread, but why would anyone think you are mean - what did I miss? I know I've never met you, but I think you are lovely!! I do so hope you don't have to wait much longer for your BFP.

MrsMcJ - sorry to see you back IYSWIM! - but glad you had a good holiday regardless of AF. How is the new job settling down? I do so hope 2007 is the year for you

Greedy, my long-cycle buddy - sorry to see you've still not ov'd and having DH away for 10 days - I can sympathise - I was so frustrated last summer while DH was away for 5 months that we couldn't get on TTC. Stress and illness I think delays ovulation, but I really think that my extra long cycle last time was a contributing factor to my mc, as I can't think that the egg could have been in tip-top condition, if it had been hanging around for nearly 50 days before it was released!

Not sure whether I've ov'd yet, my temps have been obviously up for 3 days, but the 1st two of those I'd been drinking and up to 2am the night before (I know, I know I shouldn't when TTC, but my feeling is you can't put your life permanently on hold, particularly if you've been trying for nearly 2 years for your successful BFP!) I was away with work, so also didn't sleep well in strange hotel bed. And then last night, DD decided that 4.30am was time to get up, so there was lots of grumpy tossing and turning between then and 6.30am when I took my temp, so I'm not convinced I'll trust any of them. Besides I have no idea what CD I'm on as I'm not sure how to count from the mc! Probably the reason they say to wait at least 1 cycle, but I'm not hanging around any longer than I have to!!

How you doing PinkElephant? feeling better about everything - I hope the next couple of months speed by for you

Hello to all I've not mentioned - DH is out tonight and I going to take advantage and sit and watch some rubbish tv!!

Take care all
x

Hello ladies. AF due Tuesday, and boobs have been getting really sore over the past couple of days. I'm sure they feel more tender & heavier than last month. Not sure if I'm imagining it, or it's just wishful thinking. Fingers crossed, eh? .

babylove123 · 11/01/2007 21:38

Congrats Nettee!!!

Sorry to hear your news MrsBeee

Lizziemum, a BFP??! Congrats!

ammylovesbabies · 11/01/2007 21:54

Congrats Nettee!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ammylovesbabies · 11/01/2007 21:55

And Lizziemum!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

JoAndTheBoys · 11/01/2007 22:25

Congratulations Nettee! And Lizziemun also, I knew I could feel some positives coming!

Af is still here (cd6) and still fairly substantial, which makes me think my last 'af' which was fairly light and only lasted a few days, was probably a withdrawal bleed from the cerazette. Which would explain why I didn't feel/see any ov signs last month.

Got everything crossed that this month is a 'normal' cycle and that my short cycles don't affect my fertility.

Cityangel, I ovulate between cd12-cd16 I think, and cycles average at about 25 days long. What does b6 do for your cycle?
Have given agnus castus some more thought and have decided to see what happens on my first 'proper' cycle of ttc before giving it a go...
The game is 'isketch', link is here to the thread... beware, you'll get addicted! Great at taking your mind off things though!

JoAndTheBoys · 11/01/2007 22:25

eaglebird, got everything crossed for you! Any other symptoms?

JoAndTheBoys · 11/01/2007 22:29

Cityangel/anyone else needing distraction... another thread about the pictionary game here ... enjoy!

Eaglebird · 11/01/2007 23:24

JoAndTheBoys. No other symptoms to report. Well, none that can't be explained anyway. I've felt really tired today - but that's probably because I had a rubbish nights sleep last night due to the wind (windy weather, not farting!). Also felt a bit queasy this morning - but I think that was just due to being really hungry. Felt fine as soon as I'd eaten, and haven't felt queasy since.
Think it's just wishful thinking to be honest, but will find out next week...

cityangel · 12/01/2007 00:49

Oops I duplicated text last night KitKat and D2B sorry

Lizziemun congratulations... keep in touch!

Ready, I hate it when people say they've given up things and sound all sanctimonious about it. What works for one is impossible for another (grapefruit juice being a funny example of mine ugh) However I only have any medication when desperate and am trying eat more healthily and have noticed a difference.

I agree with you on gauging and cheering up. It's Hard to keep up other times. Dec seemed a tough month for BFPs. Jan is a much quieter MN. I think it just depends on lots of different people recognising we all want roughly the same thing.

Ready I was a mixed emotion bunny last month too... Oh and Geek I get really p** off when people say oh just relax and it will happen. But I have to admit this month I am having a lot more fun and chilling out and it has helped.

Peanut Butter big hugs try and plan something fun to cheer you up xxx

Sorry MrsBeee hope dinner was nice and it's nearly the weekend :0)

Fettle I agree with putting your life on hold. Silly things like do I buy new clothes, bras... go out on peak days etc. Sorry about your m/c I can only imagine how difficult that would be. Big hugs.

Good luck Eaglebird Here's hoping... symptoms look good.

Joandtheboys it's hard to find a good link on B6 and short luteal phase so best if you Google it and see what you think. I take a higher dose Af to OV and less after. It has been know to lengthen the luteal phase and be good for PMS. Also Google dose levels so you get a feel for the recommended doses on more legitimate sites as there are nerve damage risks at silly levels and some site recommend too much. Other MNers take it what do you recommend?

I need a new game and am rubbish at most so will try and log on tomorrow and give it a go if work doesn't block it! Like the links...

Hey everyone else ran out of time xxx Happy Friday!

PS: Anyone still up for Blackpool may pluck up the courage to start a thread to test the waters!

Nettee · 12/01/2007 07:38

MrsBee, so sorry to hear about AF. lots of good luck for next month

Lizziemum congratulations!

Eaglebird, all sounds promising, will be looking out for news next week
