TMI warning- Bit of bleeding in the wee hours but since then it's gone brown and dry-ish so I think it's beginning to clot! Lorna got back to me and said to stop fragmin and aspirin for now and she'll talk to Mr S tomorrow when he's in. Feeling lots of morning sickness today which is reassuring.

Snoopy- does that mean you need to rebook your scan?

Yes, how are you feeling Sunny?

Drttc · 29/12/2015 14:35

Whoops missed loads of posts.... Hooray Sunny! 20 weeks- how beautiful :)

Drttc · 29/12/2015 14:44

Meant hooray Snoopy* lol

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 29/12/2015 16:17

thanks drttc, really hope the worst is behind you now! Lorna is very good at answering emails, typical it would happen over Christmas to add to your stress.

sunnyday01 · 29/12/2015 17:14

Glad you got a response from the clinic drttc, I know last year at xmas when I needed them they weren't doing appts but there was someone around to answer questions!!

Wow 20 weeks snoopy - fantastic. Have you had your nhs 20 week scan?

I'm doing ok, finding I can't stand or walk for long as pressure in the down belows gets too much! 36 weeks on Thursday, can't believe its so close now! Getting scared about actual labour now!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 29/12/2015 19:38

Ah sunny you're going to have your little one soon! Whatever labour brings you're strong enough to get through it.

Yep, NHS scan today and the whole time I was waiting for the sonographer to find something wrong but she said baby is perfect, just naughty haha

Hula2 · 29/12/2015 20:23

Drttc - glad you managed to get some advice from the clinic. When will you have another scan ?

Sunny - can t wait to hear when you ve got your little one safely in your arms. Were they planning to induce you with the GD ?

Afm - after having a meltdown last month about knowing i was ovulating when we were supposed to be just ntnp and wishing i could be blissfully ignorant this month it seems i may have got that wish Confused !
Af was partic light (always has been pretty light but this really was a non event) and oddly had a tiny bit of ewcm on day 1 or 2 but since then nothing and i m day 14 and no sign of ov (for the last year its usually happened by day 12), did a hpt and an opk a few days ago a both neg so not sure whats going on. I did decide to give dhea (only 25mg a day) a go for a few months so wondering if that has screwed my cycle. I started on day 2. Seeking i seem to remember you were taking dhea, did it affect your cycle/ov ?
Anyway since we re taking a pretty low key approach now then it kinda forces me not to stress and have enjoyed being more chilled but would be nice to know whats going on soon (grass is always greener...!).

sunnyday01 · 29/12/2015 20:40

Hula - at present they are saying they may induce ne around 39 weeks but have another scan on15th jan to check growth etc. I'm hoping I can beat I dh tion as I'd prefer to go in to labour naturally!

Drttc · 30/12/2015 11:22

So Louise has told me to stay on fragmin but stop the aspirin- says fragmin doesn't work that way! Also supposed to double up my Cyclogest but I don't have enough :( Sp confusing!

Drttc · 30/12/2015 11:26

Hey Hula! I have a scan on Sunday during which I should be 7 weeks.

I think I have heard DHEA can do weird things to your cycle as its quite a powerful hormone. I bought some but never took as I thought I'd give it more time until I turned to them! Glad you're feeling more chilled :)

Sunny- so close!!! Can't wait to hear all about your little one :)

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 30/12/2015 13:13

hula I haven't read anything about dhea, does it help with egg quality?

drttc has all the spotting stopped now? How far along will you be on Sunday?

Drttc · 30/12/2015 13:47

Snoopy- I just have occasional bits of brown stuff that looks old and not worrying. Feel like whatever bled has clotted up- no red stuff in over 30+ hours.

I'll be 7 weeks on Sunday... Fingers crossed!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 31/12/2015 21:48

Happy new year everybody! May 2016 bring us all happiness and joy Xmas Smile

Happy new year ladies!! Wishing it to be a happy one for you all!! Flowers

Glad to hear good scan news on here and hope you're all OK xxx

Drttc sounds like the bleeding has settled down, I hope you're able to relax a bit.

Sunny best of luck for you and looking forward to happy news Smile

snoopy very excited for you!

Hula I think I've read about dhea messing with cycle. I took Co-Q 10 last month and my cycle has been very strange - 2 days early and normal 5 days period but another 7 days of spotting after (but this maybe because I had a chemical the cycle before, although I've never had this with other chemicals).

Best wishes to all of you!! xxxx

billy15 · 03/01/2016 16:58

Drttc did you have your scan today? How'd it go? Thinking of you x

Drttc · 03/01/2016 19:20

Hi Billy- thanks for asking! I had my scan yesterday because I had some more bleeding. Baby was great with a strong heartbeat and the bleed is still there. At the moment it's not in a dangerous position and I was told to rest, not worry about the bleeding (to expect it actually) and that hopefully it'll just work it's way out. We even saw a 3D image and could see the beginning of the placenta forming! 7 weeks today- the furthest we've ever been :)

Also - for any recurrent chemical pregnancy lurkers- I've been doing intralipids pre-BFP and then every 10-14 days. So will have my 4th intralipid infusion this week at 7 wks 4 days. Seems excessive I know but just makes me feel better!

billy15 · 03/01/2016 19:27

Thats great to hear Drttc! It must be disconcerting for you to have the bleeding but great that baby is developing! When's the next scan? I hope you can relax a bit and don't have to go back to work tomorrow!

Are you having the intralipids with Dr S? (sorry I can't remember if you're under his care?). do you go into the clinic for them? Did you have the first one before ovulation?
Im thinking of doing this next time - was gona do it this cycle but it's all been messed up (went for follicle tracking scan after Letrozole for Super Ovul and no follicles and thin lining!! Still havent ovulated and on day 22 so hoping it's just because last cycle was a chemical, but pretty worried!).

Thoreau · 03/01/2016 19:59

Hello all,

I have been lurking for a while (since my second miscarriage) but thought I would speak up! Firstly, thanks for being here. In the darkest days after my second miscarriage hearing your stories and experiences was of great comfort to me. I am in awe of everyone's strength, determination and dedication.

I have had two miscarriages and am now under the care of Dr S. I had a BFP on the 27th when me and DH were down in Cornwall so was very worried about getting Intralipids. I managed to get booked in on the 30th and we drove to Epsom and back in a day.

My first scan with Dr S is on the 18th Jan. I have never seen a heartbeat and am very scared at the moment. Wishing, praying etc.

Anyway thanks again.

Drttc · 03/01/2016 20:18

Aww thanks Billy! I was supposed to have pre-ovulation intralipids but I was on my 6th month ttc since the 4th miscarriage and couldn't bring myself to go to Epsom again. I then found out a local place did it for £170 and ended up getting them done a few days before my BFP! I am under Dr S but am doing intralipids closer to home. I'm actually seeing Dr S for the mandatory 8 week scan/appointment on January 9th. Praying that we'll continue to get good news and that baby stays strong.

That's so frustrating about your cycle! Have you had issues in the past or do you think this mainly due to the chemical pregnancy? Stress is the enemy so remember that can play a factor as well... If you're open to it, try acupuncture. It's helped me so much.

Hi Thoreau! Sorry to hear about your losses. I'm glad you've found us though as this group is so knowledgable, supportive, and full of success stories. Congrats on your BFP! How many weeks are you? What is the furthest along you've been? I so understand what it's like to pray for the moment you finally see a heartbeat.... After 4 chemicals (3 of them around the 6 week mark) I finally saw a heartbeat for the first time on Christmas Eve- it does happen!! :)

Seekingmiracles · 03/01/2016 20:33

Hey Ladies Smile
Happy New Year to you all!!
So glad your scan have both gone well Snoopy and Drttc!! Yay for good news!! Let's hope this is how 2016 will continue!!
Hula - I did take it for about 4 months. Didn't really notice any difference with my cycle with it though. Haven't taken it these last two cycles as I kind of want to detox my body from all the drugs a little bit.

Also noticed that the one month I've not taken my pred, my acupuncturist can really tell as my immune responses are all heightened! And I've been more sneezy than I have been since April!! The immune system really is a funny thing!

Welcome Thoreau, congrats on your bfp. Wishing you all the luck in the world this time round.

I'm currently sat waiting to leave Vegas. Have had the BEST time. Drank far too much but will now give up booze completely for Jan. Time to get back to being in tiptop form health wise.
Positive opk yesterday and today so hopefully a bit of Vegas luck will rub off on my uterus!!

Hula2 · 03/01/2016 20:34

Welcome Thoreau and congrats on the bfp. Keeping everything crossed for you that the immune treatment does its job.

Billy - sorry to hear your cycle is not behaving, i totally understand how frustrating that is. Hopefully its just your body readjusting after your chemical.

Drttc - so pleased to hear all is well with your LO and that they are not worried about the bleeding.

Afm - af showed yesterday (day 18!). Last time i had a crazy short cycle was a year ago after i took pred for the first time so maybe the dhea had a similar effect. Hopefully that and not the dreaded M (which i pretty much convinced myself it was last night and that 6mns of superov had accelerated my flagging ovaries into..!). Going to go back to my acu lady for a few sessions to hopefully get things back on track cos even if were not actively ttc i can t be doing with af every 18 days Confused !

Hey drttc so happy to hear the little bean is doing well. Are you taking the fragmin again or waiting for the bleeding to stop? Those intralipids must be costing you a fortune!

Hello thoreau, congratulations on your bfp! The anxiety is awful isn't it? The only way I dealt with it is complete denial. We all have our fingers crossed for you.

Hi seeking glad you had a good time. Maybe we can be healthy lifestyle buddies, I've eaten so much trash over Christmas.

hula it must be the dhea. Maybe a month off will help reset everything? I don't think it's the big M but I agree every 18 days is a nightmare.

As for me I had to buy some new shoes today because I can't fit my size three feet into any of my shoes, had to get a size five Sad
