One good thing....I got my flowers and an apology for being insensitive!

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 19:03

result! (on the flowers anyway) hope you enjoy them!

snowydays · 08/12/2006 19:23

I've decided to 'Step away from the MN site' a bit - but feel compelled to email Greedy.

Sweet Greedy I'm so sad to read your af news - I was so hopeful having seen you chart I was trying to work out how to design you a bunch of flowers using emoticons to celebrate.

(((((((huge hugs )))))))))

Truly thinking of you.

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 20:11

who am i trying to kid? (bit like you hey snowy!) .....i can't keep away! on my second glass of wine now so feeling a bit more cheery (i think)......i keep trying to put things into perspective........'dont be such a daft old hag, you already have 2 gorgeous kids (who are also obsessed with ttc by the way but thats another story!), you have only been trying for 9 months(which is only 5 cycles for me) and there are a lot worse things that could be going on in your life than not being able to get pg! .......thats what i keep trying to remind myself anyway. i need to concentrate on the family i already have.

thank you so much snowy (you are obviously doing as well as me with giving MN a rest!)
thanks bodders ( i cant believe how time flies.....you must be due any day now!!!!!!!!............that would be good wouldn't it....2 months gestation!)
thanks beansprout, its so hard not to get excited when you are late isnt it? why dont you post on here? you should, just dont get obsessed like me!
thanks tt - glad you got the flowers! i need some now! but dh is working through the night tonight and wont be back till tomorrow lunchtime.......haven't told him about af yet....he still thinks i am pg!

thanks christmassy one...did you can say i can get pissed at xmas?........just pouring my third glass of wine!

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 20:14

OK.....everybody else obviously has a life! i am going to get quietly pissed now on my own watching some crap on tv to take my mind off things!

i think you are all wonderful by the way

YuleTideways · 08/12/2006 20:15

Why are your kids obsessed with ttc??

I also have no life btw

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 20:15

whoops......as soon as i posted that i realised i sounded like i was completely pissed and getting all emotional and sentimental........it takes me a lot more than 2 glasses of wine to get pissed....(theres a lot of me!).....so i meant it!

YuleTideways · 08/12/2006 20:17

Oops, forgot to send big hugs because af arrived Really sorry, she's a bitch, isn't she? Don't blame you for having a couple of drinks.

I've cracked open the wine here too, only to find it's pretty horrible

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 20:17

yippee someone to talk to!!!!
my ds said he was going to 'magic' my dd to be as small as a seed. and when i asked what he meant he said.....'you know the seed daddy puts in your tummy, the baby seed!'
he is only 3.5!

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 20:21

have you been on MN for long? i feel like you probably have. do you ever take a break or feel like you need to? do you check everyday? and if not how do you keep up with evrything?

YuleTideways · 08/12/2006 20:24

I have been on mn for a couple of years. I have another name for the non-ttc threads , but don't tell anyone!

I do come on here every day, at least to read, as the pc is always on for work, but other than this thread I don't really post that much.

I told myself this month that I was going to stay off for a while, so I didn;t get too obsessed (yeah right) but I keep wanting to catch up with everyone else.

Hope you don't leave, even for a break, but I will understand if you do. Christmas can be stressful enough without constant ttc-obsessing!

YuleTideways · 08/12/2006 20:26

dp just back with Frida-night takeaway. Back later if you want to chat

MerryKitkatmas · 08/12/2006 21:14

Greedy sweetie just wanted to give you hugs. AF is an evil old witch...can I once again recommend the healing power of a twix??

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 21:34

anyone out there? i went to have dinner (and a massive heartburn episode - think i'm allergic to alcohol) but i'm back now if anyone else has no life on a friday night and wants a chat

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 21:39

tell me about yourself oh christmassy one! i love having a laptop with wireless, i can watch tv at the same time as posting its great! nearly had a whle bottle of wine now!

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 21:40

i dont think i know anything about you do i?

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 21:44

what do you want to know? baby things or normal things? i'm 28 no kids yet, married 4 1/2 yrs. dh in raf so move a lot, but we're in the middle of buying our own place. we're due to move on to 20th dec. i love reading (i'm a librarian) and my cats.

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 21:48

now i remember you....the moving has jogged my memory! do you like moving then? we used to move every 2 years when i lived with my parents cos of his job and i get itchy feet really quickly now. we have been in our present house for 5 years now and i am desperate to move....but we are extending instead to make room for our next baby! (seems strange saying that now seeing as it isnt turning out to be as easy as we thought!)

how long have you been ttc?

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 21:52

trying since jan, regular cycles since may, so nearly a year of wanting it, but in reality i guess i've (should say we've ) been trying with some accuracy since may. tell me more about you (apart from liking wine!! )

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 21:59

got 2 kids already.....ds(3.5) dd(1.11)...so i now i have the perfect pair but they are so gorgeous i want more!!! ds took about 6 months to concieve and dd 1st month! i had my age gaps all perfectly planned and (stupidly) assumed that it would happen straight away this time! we have been trying since april and i think i might go to the gps in jan cos my whole body and cycle have changed since having dd. i had a few problems when pg with her and i dont feel liek my 'bits' have been normal since!
phew! thats me done!

oh hang on ....not quite! i have a super long cycle ( but not compared to festivefettle, bless her) so everything takes that much longer!
also...im 33, so a bit of an old biffer!

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 22:01

tbh i'm getting a bit fed up of moving, by the time we get into our real house it'll be our 4th house in 13 months, so i'm quite glad to be settling down at last!

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 22:05

wow! that is going for it moving that much! so will you stay in your next house for a while?..........
i bet you get itchy feet after a bit!

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 22:10

oops - we're crossing each other! understand about having it all planned out, i'm the same. thought it would only take a few months, and i wasn't that desperate to start with, though now my best mate is pg i'm jealous (but really pleased for her - and i get to be godmum to it) and keen to 'catch up' with her. definitely thought i'd be pg by xmas, we had even planned to tell parents by asking for mothercare vouchers for xmas. have just realised how much i took it for granted that getting pg was easy! i've never been really mumsy or maternal (that's my sister's department) but now am getting really depressed every time af comes. my cycle seems to be settled at 30 days, only bd-ing by dates, i've not got as far as using ov kits, but that might be my new year's resolution. (come to think of it, last year's resolution was to get pg!)

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 22:20

so you dont take temps? i would def recommend that cos then you know exactly when you ovulate. my sis has a regular 28 day cycle and always assumed she ov'd day 14. but when she started temping discovered it was day 19 and she had been missing her chance every month! she doesnt have a long luteal phase though, so doesnt look good for her.
its terrible how you plan things isn't it? i was desperate to have 3 kids under 4 for some resaon....cant happen now! but everyone says 'you are mad, how would you cope? and i kind of wanted to show everyone i could!' have you told people you are ttc? we have ! BIG MISTAKE!!!!

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 22:25

only a few people know we're trying (both sets of parents-they've been on asking when they're going to be grandparents since our 2nd wedding anniversary, my sister-who wanted me to produce a flower girl niece for her wedding in may07, pg best mate-who said "great we can try together iyswim"!) i would be taking my temp if we had a thermometer, i guess i'll put one on my xmas list.
