I filled up the last thread - sorry ladies... so thought I best start a new one since there is still a long ol' time to go in December!

Well - AF arrived with none of the "is it? isn't it?" preamble, so CD1 here for me and I came home early as I can feel the cramps kicking in. But, am due to ov toward the end of our pre-Christmas holiday, and boobs will be at their pre-AF biggest (and most painful )for the new year party

We're cycle buddies, then, Minxpie, which is good, having such similar festive names Sorry about AF, TT, too. Hope she stays away from the rest of you!!!

ImpatientElf - you asked about my male friend who was on the other side of your situation - unfortunately, all their plans are now on hold for various reasons, so we won't be getting any updates from there.

Anyhoo - have ignored DH enough this evening... Maybe getting some new undies will make him feel better Obviously will wait until AF has buggered off.

festivefettle · 07/12/2006 19:00

Oh Greedy - honey - big hugs - I take it AF really has started then today? I do really sympathise with you, I hate having long cycles. You hear people say (in real life, not the lovely ladies on here) oh well there is always next month, and I want to scream you mean the one after that!

I'll hopefully pop back later to say a proper hello to everyone - DH grumpy as I spend too much time on here and it is DD's bathtime!

take care all

RudolphsREADY · 07/12/2006 19:07

Oh Mincepieshu - hug!! You will get your BFP on New Years Eve!! And those big (o)(o) will be the milk production setting up shop!!

Greedy - NICE underwear, pretty things, not sexy strings I have a big bottom, which requires coverage, so wearing pads at AF is not a problem now if I wore g strings then clearly I would make one hell of a mess!! tee hee. I can't imagine having this kind of conversation with anyone I know in real life... is that sad? or sane?

Hi All

Lots of crossed posts - I started writing mine then had to go away and by the time I posted, there'd be a whole lot more going on!

So Greedy it's not all over yet - hang in there!

Ready I'm sure it won't be long until you are pg - experiencing all those wonderful feelings (Although I have to say the nausea is awful! - well it was for me!). And Greedy is right you will appreciate it all the more, as its taken you longer. It took 2 years for us to conceive DD and it was just amazing when finally we got that BFP!

Big knickers, that's me, by the way. But pretty shorts ones - like Ready, I don't have the figure for small knickers shall we say! DH seems to like my enormous knickers . M&S are doing a good range of pretty shorts at the mo!

Anyway, I really have to go, DH does think I spend too long on here. So quickly, I can't remember who asked (Sorry) about my referral yesterday, but I told the truth about our history: 2 TTC DD, preliminary tests and referral prior to BFP. 10 mths TTC, then mc at 9 weeks in Feb and been trying since then (Even said DH had been away for 5 months of this year, so she knows I can't have been trying much of this year!) She's of the opinion that if she refers me, I'll get another BFP - I wish I had her optomism!!

Quick question for all: 2WW how much do you drink? Going to in-laws tomorrow for "Christmas" and at 8DPO even I agree with the ClearBlueFairy that they'll be no point testing tomorrow just in case, but I don't want to spend all weekend not drinking. So tricky!

Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to pop back later or in the morning, before we are off - I'll never catch up on this thread when we back on Monday!!. Here's hoping for some BFPs while I'm away.

BTW - MrsMcS - did the ipod trick work?

Take care all
Big Hugs all round as I have a feeling we are all a bit low {{{{{HUGS}}}}}.

greedyformincepies · 07/12/2006 19:46

festivefettle · 07/12/2006 19:47

Spelling!!

xx

festivefettle · 07/12/2006 19:47

HI ALL
I'm on CD 31 of 31 going off last cycle, may test tomorrow but not to hopeful so really don't even feel like testing. I'm sure my bodies just decided to have a long cycle.

Festive and Greedy, I feel for you the last days drag on forever with a longer cycle. But when i was younger I would of killed for a long cycle as time just went to fast, and it felt like AF was every week.

Festive and Merry- I only drink one drink while on two week wait and feel guilty for that as i have nazi dh who thinks you shouldn't have any while TTC and I am banned completely while pg or bf.

At the very most you might consider two drinks,
but only one, if that is really ok, in Australia dr's recommend no drinks at all while pg and theoretically if pg on 2ww you are pg. Also the first three months of development the baby is most susceptable to harm.

Try non-alcoholic wine or a lime and bitters, not that bad honest
Dh has just seen this and said "NONE, why would you risk it".

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, i'm sure to have put the dampner on hoilday drinking. But have worked out it is almost imposible to not have a christmas period when you can't drink, if you consider the 9 months + the TTC and then there's the BF _

pesme · 08/12/2006 09:54

thanks to sparklytreeangel and mkk for condolances on other thread, thought i should move it here before i get told off! next month should be written off as i will be staying with either my aunt or my parents when i ov. and chances of any 'action' are slim esp. as my bedroom at home is right over teh kitchen.

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 10:10

what have i missed then pesme? i am going to check out the other thread! can't we all just stick to this one, it would be so much easier!
uki.....good luck!
well cd41 for me today and spotting seems to have stopped a bit ( i just KNOW that is tempting fate!) i feel like i have been saying this all week (probably cos i have!) but my temp is still up (higher than ever today!) so i still dont know whats happening! it all sounds so promising except for BFN i got yesterday!

re drinking in 2ww - i always have i am afraid. i know you shouldn't in an ideal world, but for my sanity i do! if i stopped i would feel like i was assuming i was pg, so its also kind of a double bluff.....IYSWIM!

mrsmcspink- enjoy your last day at work, dont expect we will hear much from you today will we, too busy with RL! hope your cat is a bit better!

i am feeling a bit chirpier today in general, i think getting my high temp again this morning has given me renewed hope! how long will it last before i get brought back down to earth by old af i wonder!?
my ds has got his nativity play today! he is the star, so not a BIG speaking part, but i still know it will make my heart melt when i watch him! i mean he has the part of the star, not he is the star of the show by the way!

pesme · 08/12/2006 10:14

af came this morning gfmp. i agree with you about drinking during the 2wk. i don't go crazy but after over a year at this i just get on with things no point in obsess and thinking what if every month.

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 10:23

are you ttc your first pesme? how old are you? have you had any tests done? i am thinking of going to the docs in january if nothing has happened by then

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 10:24

sorry to hear about af by the way, i posted on the other thread to you too!

MrsMcClaus · 08/12/2006 10:24

Sparklytreeangel ? at your dressing up! I made up my ?santa suit? myself! It is a red balconette bra and matching tie side knickers and a red negligee to go over the top, knee high black boots and my santa hat! It was funny actually because when I was getting the ?outfit? together 5 years ago now ad bought the negligee, DH actually bought me exactly the same one for Christmas ? he must have liked it!

Greedy ? PMSL at the period pants. Have to say, using pads with g strings is a bit awkward, don?t tell me I have to start wearing full pants again! You?ve got to hang in their chick, the wait is a good thing x

BoJingles ? I knew what you meant, I was just pulling your leg!

Hugs Honeyapple ? you will get number 3 x

Rudolph?sReady ? Honeyapple made be well up and you have made me cry! Me too, I want to nuzzle baby toes and pat talc on its bottom and sniff its hair and play with its fingers and see my husband in its face and know that I will never love another living thing as much as I can love my own baby.

MincePieShu ? so sorry hun about AF and hope you are feeling better, great attitude too! Go girl!

FestiveFettle ? just take it easy on the booze, that?s all you can do really. Your GP sounds lovely! Not sure if ipod trick worked, got home 9pm and was too tired to try.

MerryKitKatmas ? it is indeed my last day and have tons to do so trying to catch up really quickly so I can get on with my work! See, I have my priorities right!

Uki ? I hope your DH joins you in abstinence too!!!!!! Fingers crossed for you.

Pesme ? hope you are ok, thinking of you.

AF is gone and the paranoia of if I don?t BD every hour of every day I might miss OV is setting in ? belting myself in for another shot on the TTC RollerCoaster!!!

XmassyCharlotte · 08/12/2006 10:38

Greedy - my godson is playing the star in his nativity play this morning... SOOOO sweet; hearing him practising his singing of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' as he skips down the road (he is unbelievably excited and aged 3) just gets my Inner Mother crying out for a baby of her own!!

FactsAndFigures · 08/12/2006 10:47

Hello festive names - I'll have to think of one too!

Apologies for not posting for a while, I've been away with work.

I thought this morning that I would try catching up with the thread - which is now threads!! But must admit I've given up. I must make a point of coming on here daily to be able to keep up with you all!

Well my AF is due today but as yet there's no sign. Although I've been having the strangest feeling in my abdomen. I noticed it last night when I was in bed, it felt like I had butterflies in my tummy - the feeling that I get when I'm nervous (except I'm not!) and again this morning - not sure what to be making of this Apart from that I've got no other symptoms of either AF coming or being BFP - any thoughts?

RudolphsREADY · 08/12/2006 11:00

Morning ladies.

MrsMcClaus: You have reached the finish line in this job, hoorah! Good luck Monday, I hope everything goes well for you, I'll be thinking of you (is that weird?). So sorry that I made you cry, I was blubbing while typing, and my eyes were like 2 little fish bowls... The most shameful thing I must confess to is anger when I see those famous women who dump their newborns with a nanny so they can get in the gym and return to their skeletal size00 body or those bastards that have a precious gift of life and they abuse it and are not fit to be a parent and all the wonderful people I have 'met' on MN that would cherish a baby sorry rant over.

FestiveFettle: Oh I so hope you are right about me, and I promise (!?) that if AF stays away I will not complain about the nausea! My heart aches at the thought of 2 years ttc. You deserve a medal for strength of mind! I will have lost all my spirit if it takes that long Fingers crossed you get your BFP before the referral kicks in!

Greedy - haha, perhaps I need some new friends because our discussions never get into AF or pants even!! Your temps are so promising, my fingers and toes are crossed that you are pg. I think I would probably cry if you were (happy tears! with a little bit of for good measure!! Aw my heart is melting at the thought of your DS being the star of David... that is after all the most important part... without him no one would be able to find Baby Jesus!!

MerryKitkatmas: Good for you not testing early! I had never thought about it from that angle either, no one believing the BFN anyway, that makes it even more pointless! With regards to alcohol, I have been thinking about that recently, in Europe, wine is served at meal times, and I wonder how many of those women abstain?? I don't think a little bit will hurt. I don't drink so it is easy for me, but I totally understand why it isn't easy. I think moderation is the key here!

Uki: Don't test until you are a couple of days late. That is my motto anyway

Pesme: We've got both our families here with us over OV time, but I still fully intend to get plenty of action... it'll just be the quiet variety You should just go for it, it'll make you feel like a teenager again

XmassyCharlotte: I am so totally with you on the inner mother. Mine is just bursting to get out!

Hope everyone else is ok?

ImpatientElf · 08/12/2006 11:24

I just don't know which thread to be on! Body is being very weird. Usually ov about CD14. Now CD7, still having ewcm (since CD5), boobs starting to tingle and hurt, temp shot up this morning. If I ov'd yesterday I'm a whole week ahead of schedule - bizzare! Insem'd last night according to Greedy's plan. Didn't serenade the little pot because traffic and weather were a bit too demanding, but pot didn't seem bothered. SO much calmer to come home, and insem'd within 90mins of production, so should be fine. Anyone magically know what my body's playing at? Can you ov twice in one cycle - twins?! That would be so like me: fail to conceive for 18months and then two at once. Bus conception

So thanks for the advice Greedy! Sorry you still don't know what your body is doing either.

pelvicfloorSNOWmore · 08/12/2006 11:34

Just wanted to say that i love the title of this thread

RudolphsREADY · 08/12/2006 11:34

I hope my rant made sense... reading it back I am not sure. I am not angry about all the wonderful ladies that will cherish a baby, I am angry that they are having to wait... iyswim

ImpatientElf - Oh wouldn't it be wonderful if you had twins??

OP posts:
minxpie · 08/12/2006 11:51

mincepieshu - great to have a cycle buddy!!

Need help and advice though - cd1 yesterday took temp (36.7), which I am keeping note of - was out last night and this morning took temp (37.1) is is that much higher because I was drinking far too much wine (obvious reasons) or does your temp jump around that much...do I expect it to be high before ovulation, not done this temp charting before so a bit curious! Thank you...
Ready - you make me laugh so much I think you enjoy this secret talk - you can say what you like without anyone really knowing you... great isn't it !!

MadameBRANDYBUTTERfly · 08/12/2006 11:51

Morning everyone.

Sorry to all those that have had AF arrive, good luck to everyone testing in the next few days.

Sorry for not naming everyone, but there are just too maany on here for me to remember who is at which point in their. cycle.

RudolphsREADY · 08/12/2006 11:56

minxpie - did i overstep the mark??? oops

OP posts:
minxpie · 08/12/2006 11:57
