or NOT what it should be - see what i mean?!

babylove123 · 21/12/2006 23:03

hehe! I do think that if the NHS spent more on prevention, they'd save a hell of a lot on the cures! Still, not like little old me is gonna make 1 bit of a diff!!!

I g2g to bed now, work 2morro

ladybug007 · 21/12/2006 23:04

Me too - good night!

babylove123 · 21/12/2006 23:07

Night!

whoopsfallenoffthexmastree · 22/12/2006 05:29

Babylove - I'm shocked that your doctors don't do smears til your 25! I was found with abnormal cells at 20 (I was going to say I hadn't had sex but I had!!) I did have my first smear before I had ever had sex though.

MrsMcClaus · 22/12/2006 08:53

Hello my fesive friends! I have 5 mins to catch up so wanted to post first before I read up to let you know that though I haven't been posting much, I do think about you all Merry Christmas and may your wish come true

MrsMcClaus · 22/12/2006 09:01

Babylove - if I were you, I'd go to the GUM clinic at your local hospital just in case it's more than thrush. When DH and I first got together, he got an infection and so we both got tested for everything, it was real piece of mind when all the tests came up negative. He didn't get the infection from me by the way!

Quick summary for me, think I am 4dpo but the software says 3. Temps are good, no sore boobs this cycle which is great but its still early days, very much dreaming of a BFP. AF is due on my birthday so I'll either be crying out of misery or joy

Speak to you all later x

Uki · 22/12/2006 09:50

Hello all

Would so love you all to get those christmas BFP's.
Wishing you all lots of luck

and also a very merry christmas

Happy Birthday Mrs Mc.

BoJingles · 22/12/2006 11:00

Hi all,

hello City - hope you are well. Good luck over christmas with testing, fingers crossed for you. I'm due on yesterday/today but still nothing but cramps. I'll keep you posted.

Babylove - All types of thrush are usually internal and by the time it work it'a way to being extrenal is when you suffer with the symptoms which are usually itching, soreness (from itching)redness and some whitish discharge. Its very common for all ladies to get thrush. If you've tried the pessary's and cream and they haven't worked try Diflucan tablet over the counter in Boots. Its far easier and far more effective and also less messy. Don't forget to treat DH too otherwise you will keep re-infecting yourself. Cystitis or water infections are quite different and it stings like mad when passing urine, you shouldn't get discharge with it's not affecting you cervical canal etc. You must drink plenty of lemon barley and keep yourself well hydrated. Often ladies get cystitis from too much shagging hence them calling it "honeymoon cycytitis". Try plenty of cranberry juice and if it doesn't clear you may have developed a UTI (urinary tract infection) for which you need antibiotics. With regards to cervical screening - they are constantly updated the guidelines so thing do change from every 3-5yrs to be tested depending on your age on sexual activity. Cannot understand why they would need to test anyone who have not been sexually active - lets face it you never see any nuns in the waiting room!!

BoJingles · 22/12/2006 11:01

Apologies for dreadful spelling - in a bit of a rush today

MerryKitkatmas · 22/12/2006 11:46

Hi girls... cant quite believe it yet, but I got my BFP this morning. Waited until 16dpo to test (not sure how I lasted that long - must've been the clearblue fairy whispering in my ear!!). No symptoms whatsoever - just a few pinchy AF type cramps... did a test this morning and the cross came up immediately!

Did nothing different this month, other than used pre-seed. We're still in shock really... Fingers crossed this one sticks like glue! Here's hoping there are lots more BFPs this month too!!

I'll be lurking for a while yet - too scared to go over to any ante-natal threads!!! Hope you're all OK...(still in a daze over here!!)

Chooster · 22/12/2006 12:02

Hey December ladies - Just popped in to say Happy Christmas to all the December ladies! Congratulations to all those with BFP's and good luck to those still waiting to test around xmas. Fingers crossed!!!!

Can I just pop in here momentarily to ask the gurus amongst you how soon you can test after ovulation... I think I ovulated on 14/15 December, but not sure 'cos it was following a m/c, and I want to know the earliest I can test because, if I'm not pg, I'd like to enjoy my Christmas and New Year. Any ideas??

Mumpbump · 22/12/2006 12:40

Just saw KitKat's post referring to 16 days post-ovulation (I think), so I guess I'll be having an abstemious New Year just in case.

MrsMcClaus · 22/12/2006 12:42

Safer to MumpBump but you wouldn't be the first to have one or two

RudolphsREADY · 22/12/2006 12:42
