Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a <strong>Kitten</strong> = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like <strong>Something</strong> = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A <strong>Lemon</strong> = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Peenut that seems like a very long time! I'd be pretty annoyed if I wasted two years, especially if it was something relatively easy to fix. Just doesn't seem right.

Nfmv: not a lot. I'm already getting impatient though, need to keep myself busy for the next two weeks! I have noticed that this month I've had tender, slightly sore breasts since mid fertile period though which is unusual for me, they don't normally start until a day or two before AF. Not sure if it means anything at all and a long time until I'll find out. Just not very interesting.

LondonGirl83 · 10/11/2015 16:22

Ditsy after 6 months of trying they say get yourself referred over the age of 35

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my cycle. First AF post MC turned up this morning after 30 days (I normally have a 25 days cycle) so not too bad.

I'm in pain but am actually looking forward to get trying again this month.

justtheonethen · 10/11/2015 18:10

Sorry London Flowers

f1ddlesticks · 10/11/2015 18:30

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Sorry to hear about your MC London, best wishes for this cycle...

AF turned up for me yesterday so this is my first proper JS cycle, the last wasn't really a proper attempt. Look forward to hearing how you all get on!

jellypi3 · 10/11/2015 19:09

Welcome fiddle :) hope your stay isn't too long here!

Ditsy79 · 10/11/2015 19:41

Thanks corgi and london. I will book into the GP if nothing has happened by Xmas (that will be 7 months). Feel a bit embarrassed about going - mostly as I am overweight and I know they will mention it.
Sorry AF has got you london.

bellybuttonfluffy · 10/11/2015 21:33

Hello all!

I'm still lurking away in the background cheering you all on! Congrats ill! And to anyone else with their bfp, (it's possible I missed some good news in my time out) and welcome to the newbies.

NFMV- the irregular cycles continue, and continuing to frustrate me. I'm on day 29 and having a strange bleed. It looks like a period, which would be a good sign as my typical 70 day cycles have been doing my head in. I don't have the typical cramps to go with it, but it's heavier than spotting, so I am hopeful of a shorter period. There were no signs of ovulation this cycle though, so I suppose every silver lining has it's cloud.

I'm not sure whether to book in for my day 2 bloods based on this bleeding today. I had went along last cycle (on day 4) and was told that the bloods had already been sent to the lab that day so I would need to reschedule. I couldn't get away from work again, so just let it go. Not sure whether to count this as a period, so for tomorrow to be day 2. Ahhh the confusion continues forevermore.

coribeth · 11/11/2015 02:22

Nights again it's mega busy tonight managed to freak one of my colleagues out as was about to take my own blood as doctor gave me some blood forms the other day anyway he took the needle off me and insisted he did it now realise I am complete control freak as gave him instructions or tried then sat there sweating (literally) when I realised I was no longer in control of the situation! I really am a baby about bloods would much rather do it myself! Confused

ChatEnOeuf · 11/11/2015 09:35

No harm in getting D2 bloods done now I guess, Fluffy. Worst that happens is that you need to get them done again if it turns out this is just weird bleeding.

Cori I'd be freaked by that and I'm also a bit of a control freak! I watch like a hawk when having my bloods done.

KeepTheHope · 11/11/2015 15:32

Oh gosh cori! I feel funny having mine done and can't look at all, I definitely couldn't do my own!!

For the past 10 mins I've had a strong pain in my right hand side and when I went to the toilet quite a lot of creamy cm after I said I didn't have much the other day! Too early to symptom spot!! Send your hooyahs this way.

Tinkletwinkle · 11/11/2015 17:58

What Ho! Much faff getting back on here after a break but wanted to say howdy Smile hope all are well, congrats to ill and glad to see lil has a growing bean Smile I think I only missed another couple of bfps (Kate?) so huge congrats to you guys!
Hello also to all you newbs, I barely recognise anyone!

justtheonethen · 11/11/2015 20:24

tink! Good holiday? Go on make me jealous

coribeth · 12/11/2015 00:33

It's much easier doing your own as you are concentrating on what you are doing not on how you feel and worrying about if someone else is doing it as well as you can lol! Hate it when someone goes digging in your arm rummaging around for a vien if you can't feel it don't stick a needle in and hope for the best find it first! Shock

MyBlackCat · 12/11/2015 07:59

Don't panic tink many of us are still here Grin

Poor efforts so far this cycle, just the two shags Envy really lacking the motivation

jellypi3 · 12/11/2015 08:34

Some of us are still lurking and offering bump rubs tink :)

ChatEnOeuf · 12/11/2015 11:23

Ha, Cori I completely agree. It's different in neonates - quite a lot of 'hit and hope' action goes on there! I do usually make sure I can see something, but occasionally I have to rely on anatomical presumptions Grin

Tink my love, welcome back. I'm still here, and obviously not upduffed yet.

We will need a new Fred soon, lurking grads - anyone want to volunteer? Zyla - celebrate your return to shagging??

TinyChat got mail today. A medical bill. Fuckers.

OP posts:
SockQueen · 12/11/2015 11:40

Flowers Chat that's so awful.

I thought of you while I was at work the other night - had to intubate a 10-week-old which is a LONG way outside my comfort zone, and then while hanging around waiting for retrieval (they come from ~2 hours away) I was thinking how this was probably bread and butter for people like you!

I've never tried to take my own bloods, though I have been sorely tempted on occasion - last time I went to Occ Health it took them 9 goes!

jellypi3 · 12/11/2015 11:43

chat Flowers

pretzelpieces · 12/11/2015 11:46

chat the bastards Angry much love to you Flowers

Peenut · 12/11/2015 12:13

Sorry Chat, that sucks Cake

YAY! Funny lady Tink is back! Nice to see you, how's things?

I have invisible veins, dreading next bloods taking as thy always have to poke and burrow around ... last tie I had it done it was by a stupid woman in A&E at 4am (trip was for an infected insect bite that made my ankle swell to thigh size) who attempted multiple goes then had to get somebody else to have a go.

KeepTheHope · 12/11/2015 12:17

Chat I have no words but Thanks I hope you're ok.

Welcome back tink, did you have a nice holiday?

Ergh absolutely hate blood tests or anything like that. Luckily I have quite visible veins, I think any kind of rooting around would be too much!

FeatheredTail · 12/11/2015 12:27

That's utterly shit Chat. Hug.

FeatheredTail · 12/11/2015 12:27

Tiiiiiiiiink! How was your tropical paradise getaway?

Tinkletwinkle · 12/11/2015 14:51

Hello lovelies!!

Lovely holiday thanks! Was due af the day we travelled back. She didn't arrive for a full 7 days, cue much nervous sitting on hands. Didn't poas but really thought I might have got there. Anyways, lap booked for mid December so not really shagging now until that's out of the way, it seems a bit futile iykwim. Sorry I've not been on but was hoping to come back with a pic of a lovely line, then when af came I got more disappointed than normal so avoided all ttc talk.

Sorry but also glad to see you lot are all still here. Smile

chat that's rotten Flowers

oneyorkshirepud · 12/11/2015 17:58

Ah crap Tink, I got all excited reading your post there. Sorry the witch was particularly bitchy this month. Hope you had a good holibobs though.

Corgi are you testing tomorrow? Rubs bump on you in an inappropriate manner
