When to expect period - Provera

EllaMenoPea · 06/10/2015 09:42

As above really. I finished 5 days of Provera on Saturday to induce a bleed to start Clomid. When should I expect a period? Just wondering if anyone has any experiences. Google is telling me lots of different times. Getting impatient Blush

I'm really surprised that they've not completed the lap and dye, are you with gynecology or GP boggle

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/06/2016 23:52

Well I was told if I'm ovulating it's pointless as they'd bypass that anyway.
I'm under the care of a fertility clinic under the nhs. Xxx

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/06/2016 23:52

If I'm NOT* ovulating

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/06/2016 23:53

Not tried anything extra
trying as I'm not sure whether it's a one off or not xxx

RobberBride · 26/06/2016 12:41

Nice to see you Trying. Hope it goes well with the GP, let us know what they say.

Boggle how are you feeling?

TWW was dragging til last Thursday, turns out Brexit is a pretty good distraction! I'm sure it will start dragging again tomorrow...

YouBoggleMyMind · 26/06/2016 13:05

Hi robber, how are you?
I'm ok. Haven't managed to shake the sad feeling but other than that, just bumbling along. Got a scan on Wednesday but I'm sure it'll be like all the others... No lead follicles and not a good enough lining for cd13.

EllaMenoPea · 26/06/2016 16:26

Hi amy and trying nice to see you back!

boggle good luck for Wednesday!

robber is it test day next week? How are you feeling?

How you doing moomin and eskimo?

Have you got a 12 week scan date yet moomin?

I've got a 7 week scan booked in for a few weeks time, just feeling very paranoid and convinced that it's not going to stick. Obviously very grateful to be in the position of this being my worry but I can't bear the waiting!

Hi ella, how are you feeling? Natural to feel nervous but I'm sure everything will be a-ok.

Thanks for the luck, I'll need it xxx

AmyC86 · 27/06/2016 14:45

I'm sure everything will be OK ella

I've everything crossed for your scan on Wednesday boggle

Bit of a personal question girls but, has anyone experienced prolonged side effects of the clomid? It's been 9 weeks since I started my first round of clomid (still no AF, ringing for norethisterone this week) and since then I've had intermittent constipation. I don't mean like a slight difficult poo to pass, these are becoming 25minute of extreme struggle and pain, which have now caused serious haemoroid issues. I've tried drinking more, which usually helps, I already eat a large amount of fruit and vegetables anyway and nothing appears to be loosening it off...

YouBoggleMyMind · 27/06/2016 15:41

I can't say I've had many side effects from clomid other than hot sweats at night but that prolly just shows that it's not working (which it hasn't been).
I've heard good things about movicol and lactose which you can get from boots. If not, many many apricots. I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable xxx

YouBoggleMyMind · 27/06/2016 15:42

Not lactose! Lactulose!

RobberBride · 27/06/2016 22:36

Ella how are you? Got any pg symptoms yet?

Boggle fingers crossed for Wed.

Amy I had the same side effects as Boggle (night sweats and it didn't work). Have you tried prune juice? Hope the issue, ahem, clears soon.

They told me to test on Sunday (which will be 18 days past trigger and about 16 dpo), no sooner because the hcg trigger I had might give a false result. I don't have any symptoms, so I'm pretty sure it hasn't worked. I'm distracting myself with politics!

YouBoggleMyMind · 27/06/2016 23:36

Fingers crossed for you robber.

I'm not feeling confident at all for Wednesday Sad

EllaMenoPea · 28/06/2016 08:53

Just really bloated and sore boobs atm. Need to step away from the pg tests!

Let us know how tomorrow goes boggle.

robber I don't think many people have symptoms at this point so don't let that worry you.

OP posts:
Moomin37 · 28/06/2016 16:22

Don't worry Robber I didn't really had any symptoms until about six weeks! Possibly slightly achy boobs, but that was about it. I was always told to test 16 days after the trigger, so 14 days past ovulation. From my previous Googling I think the trigger has left your body by about 10-12 days past ovulation, but everyone is different and it depends on the dose.

I had no idea how sick and exhausted I was going to feel Ella, so make the most of the next few weeks and get lots of jobs done and eat all your favourite foods! I started feeling yuck and going off things in week six and so far I've lost 3kg due to lack of eating. It's amazing how something so tiny can have such a big impact on your life! I hope it's OK to say that - I'm in no way complaining and I'm very grateful to be in this position.

Amy I have always been a fan of prunes but now I've gone off everything sweet, I am eating All Bran daily and that seems to do the trick. I did try dried apricots as they are less sweet than prunes, but I didn't find they made much difference and they are revolting! I also eat an apple and a kiwi each day, plus some strawberries and raspberries. I hope things improve soon - you have my sympathy as it is horrid.

Good luck for tomorrow Boggle.

I think someone asked about my 12 week scan - it's next week when I'll be 12+3. I had a scan yesterday as opted for Harmony test, so now need to wait seven to 10 days for the results (including the sex of the baby) which should tie in with the NHS scan (although I'll then have to wait up to two weeks for their blood test results). Still not told anyone or joined the pregnancy threads. Staying here to cheer you lovely ladies on :)

Moomin37 · 28/06/2016 16:23

Oops sorry, waves to Eskimo and hello to Trying

YouBoggleMyMind · 29/06/2016 18:13

Update:

Scan today: good lining, 3 follicles 23mm, 21mm and 16mm.
Was advised to abandon due to the 3rd smaller follicle and a risk of triplets.
We have done research today and decided to go ahead and try anyway as the risk is low (5% trips, 10% twins) and take our chances. Otherwise I'm back to the drawing board and a review appointment with the Dr. Nurse wasn't a fan of ovarian drilling and IVF was mentioned again so I guess we'll see where we go from here. I'll know either way in a couple of weeks.

I hope you're all doing ok xxx

EllaMenoPea · 29/06/2016 18:24

Wow boggle that's an amazing scan!! Congratulations! Will you have another scan to see what that third follicle is up too?

OP posts:
Moomin37 · 29/06/2016 18:26

Wow Boggle what a bumper crop of follies Grin I've never grown anything as big as that and I've been on the hard stuff Wink So pleased you finally have the good news you so deserve Smile

Moomin37 · 29/06/2016 18:27

Oh and Amy I forgot to say that resting your feet on a stool whilst on the loo really helps - I use my bin!

YouBoggleMyMind · 29/06/2016 18:57

No more scans now, just waiting around now... And DTD obvs! I'm just glad the follicles decided to DO something at the right time! Today is cd13. I'm hoping that the weird late follicle and spotting last time was just a one off odd thing. The nurse said it was odd.

RobberBride · 29/06/2016 22:27

Boggle congrats, what a haul! Will they give you a trigger to ensure ov? (Sounds like they need to get you to ov before any follies get big enough!)

Moomin I can't believe it is almost 12 weeks, feels like yesterday you showed us the CB photo! Please do keep coming back and updating us, it makes me feel optimistic.

RobberBride · 29/06/2016 22:28

'any other follies get big enough'

YouBoggleMyMind · 29/06/2016 22:31

No trigger. Just straight up, last chance clomid. Just gotta hope I ovulate now!

YouBoggleMyMind · 30/06/2016 11:39

I'm sure you'd all like to know that I've had ewcm today (that's a good sign right??)
How does anyone deal with this waiting around bit. Xxx
