Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Hi! Can I join in? DS1 is 14 months old, we're not stressed about number 2, just more of a case of seeing what happens. Currently 3 days late but feeling a bit crampy. Why are pregnancy symptoms so much like period symptoms?? honestly not stressing, symptom spotting or counting days in my diary at all!

Gx91 · 16/11/2015 09:01

Hey Mrsl - have u tested yet ? I agree the body is a pain in the ass when it comes to pregnancy ! That would b nice if u had caught it straight away lol if the cramps r implantation u probs won't get a positive test for another day or two , good luck ! Xx

MrsL2012 · 16/11/2015 09:17

I haven't tested yet! I didn't get a positive until I was 12 days late with DS1 so not holding out much hope if I did anyway!

May go to boots and stock up on some tests today...

Mimilicious013 · 16/11/2015 09:31

Peyia · 16/11/2015 18:10

Hello MrsL - you'll fit right in here!! No pressure to pee on a stick but gwaaaan!!!

I love this thread. It's stressful and exciting all rolled into one and I just get over excited with everyone peeing!!!

Sorry if I'm inappropriate...

How is everyone? I love butternut squash soup Gx. Hope it made you all warm and snuggly!

My nausea and sore boobies are back with a vengeance today. I was also a blubbering wreck for the minutes silence held at work in memory of those that lost their lives in Paris. So tragic :(

Gx91 · 16/11/2015 18:13

Peyia I know what a terrible tragedy Iv been watching the news and listening to it on the radio X
Had a minutes silence in Aldis today when I was shopping X
Mrsl - have u caved after buying tests yet ? Lol
How r the rest of the ladies been quite quiet today ? Xxx

MrsL2012 · 16/11/2015 18:50

Argh the pressure! I've bought but not tested! I'm going to wait until the weekend haha like I'll last that long!
Got a feeling AF will show up tomorrow though!

Gx91 · 16/11/2015 19:18

No worries Mrsl - pregnancy test are costly ur probs better waiting if u think AF is coming . Hopefully not tho and u get ur BFP lol xxx

Figgygal · 16/11/2015 22:10

I'm in tww not hopeful despite mucho action, losing hope 11 months in, 3 friends in a month announced pg (including 2 from ante natal group) not dealing with it well cried a lot tonight.
Fucking baby fever Angry

jp0303 · 16/11/2015 22:19

Thanksfor you Figgy, have you been able to talk to your other half for support? It's really hard wanting something so much and dealing with feeling bad for envying your friends who are getting it, not that you begrudge them having it, just you want it too. It's completely natural to feel sad that it hasn't happened yet and to get fed up. Be kind to yourself.

Hi MrsL, it's exciting that you are joining us and could possibly be our next BFP!

I am in my tww Gx and can feel that this is gearing up to be a month where I drive myself mad with it. And we did so well at not getting hyped up about it all last month Hoggle! I am back to it being on my mind all of the time. I think it's because I really don't feel like it's happened this month, despite lots of dtd, I'm just feeling like it hasn't happened, but like I need to know that already and get down to trying again.

Jp- I don't think anyone is calm during the TWW , I like u , was very much relaxed up until then and was sure I wasn't pregnant so was sitting tight until AF arrived X
Wishing u lots of luck tho and really hoping u get it BFP this time !
I had said if I wasn't pregnant I was waiting til after Christmas so i could enjoy all the food and drink lol so it's wouldn't have bn a disaster , no doubt when I had decided I wasn't fussed it happened Grin X
Figgy wishing u all the best that you get ur BFP at the end if ur TWW sending baby dust your way ! Smile X
Mimi , third and Mrs l - how r we today ? Xx

HoggleHoggle · 17/11/2015 07:09

Sorry figgy that is really tough. I'm only a few months in and seeing pg women gives me a pang so I can only imagine how difficult you must be finding it. Really hoping this is your month.

Jp good luck! Hope you manage to stay chilled again, easier said than done I know.

AF has just finished here, last 2 cycles have been 35 days but they could equally switch back to 28 so we'll be dtd eod for a solid fortnight or so. Exciting, obviously, but am also exhausted at the mere thought of it! It's frustrating knowing that the last two months we weren't even dtd at the right time, not exactly helpful!

Hope all who are pg are feeling well.

MrsL2012 · 17/11/2015 07:44

Ahhh Figgy stay strong! I have my fingers crossed for you. It took us ages to fall pg first time and it's so frustrating xx

Mimilicious013 · 17/11/2015 16:17

Hie Peyia hope your nausea is a lot better today dear. Gx how are you today ?your baby's loving the healthy food(butternut soup,im so making it tonight ).what's the latest MrsL,have u tested yet? Jp and Figgy hang in there.i the tww is the worst but fx u get an early xmas present of a bfp. Hoggle good luck with the new cycle.im on cd5 and the smeo this month so already geared to go. Third hope u good and baby dust to all the other ladies.

TattieHowkerz · 17/11/2015 16:24

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting to test!

I'm not sure how long to hold out for..

I'm on CD23. My cycles are usually 24 to 28 days. I ovulated early, around day 9 and had sex on days 8,9 and 10. So I have waited two weeks (ignoring the negative test I did about 9dpo Blush). But my period might not be due til Sun. I'm going to hold off a little longer or until my period shows up. But it is so hard!

Mimilicious013 · 17/11/2015 17:04

Good luck Tattie hope u get your bfp.how long have u been ttc?

Gx91 · 17/11/2015 17:21

Hey ladies been a busy day so catching up X
I'm good thanks bit tired and wet Sad lol very rainy here in Scotland

Hoggle good luck this cycle hopefully it's a shorter one than the others for u enjoy all the sex !! X

Mimi good luck making ur butternut squash soup , they r a bastard to cut thru lol I should have got an axe !
TWW waiters hang in there and stay strong ! X good luck ! X

Tattie fx for u ! Bfn 9dpo means nothing lol unlikely a test can pick anything up , I did 1 9dpo thru to 13 I think and that's when I got my faintest of faint lines lol X

TattieHowkerz · 17/11/2015 19:10

Thanks Mimi and Gx!

I am early on in TTC. We started half way through my last cycle, but I don't really count it as I think we missed ovulation. So this is really cycle 1! I am impatient, probably because I'm 38, and also as I'd love to be on mat leave for DD starting school in August next year.

Mimilicious013 · 18/11/2015 09:33

Morning ladies, hope you have a pleasant day.anyone with new symptoms or exciting stories ?

SeriousStuff · 18/11/2015 12:00

Thought I'd be more laid back TTCing for #2, but after just a week, I'm already completely distracted by it all!

When is the absolute earliest you would test?!
