Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Not Pregnant

So that's that, sorry for not supplying the "Ta Dah!" that would have been fantastic. I'm just surprised as well as disappointed because I really thought I was in spite of how unlikely it was. Presumably my 'symptoms' will settle down once I stop hunting for them. Maybe AF is still unpredictable due to breastfeeding and is just making a song and dance about coming back and that's why my hormones are all messed up and I just felt a bit sick for unrelated reasons.

At least I'm focused on getting fit for pregnancy now. My eating habits this week have been exemplary. If I can lose quite a bit of weight before I get my BFP then that will hopefully make pregnancy a bit easier and make HCPs more supportive of choices for birth.

If I'm still feeling pregnant after a while I will retest, but although my periods are unpredictable, I'm sure that the 'symptoms' I felt, if genuine, meant I would definitely be far enough along to test.

Thanks Peyia.how are you dear and the excitement ?im sure your hubby is over the moon!Third sowii!!! I know how disappointing a bfn is!!!i spent most of my day in bed now off to have myself a blast with my sisters.night night

jp0303 · 13/11/2015 19:39

Aw shucks Third, if only our bodies weren't so confusing Sad Perhaps your body is reacting to the breast feeding like you say, those hormones can make everything out of whack. I hope that the sickness you've been experiencing passes soon, could be a winter bug. It sounds like your health kick is going positively for you, good luck with that and kudos to you for putting the effort in. Enjoy your weekend.

Mimi, I want to come on your night out WineWineI'm having a Chinese takeaway with dh after plans with a couple of friends have fallen through. Sure it'll be lovely, but I was looking forward to getting out for a gossip.

I wasn't sure about drinking whilst potentially ovulating though - what do you all do? Angelic abstinence or middle ground moderation? Or just caution to the wind hella drunk hoolahs?!

I've been enjoying a drink with AF but haven't had more than the odd glass when she's not around, if even that. That's been easy enough for these 3 months, however the festive season is creeping up and I might find it more tempting if I have no BFP. Any thoughts anyone?

Unlucky third , think it's probably down to the bf hormones ! It is really difficult not to symptom spot when TTC and I really do think ur body tricks u ! Good luck for next time unless wen u retest u might have a nice surprise ! Smilexx

Jp- it's up to u what u want to do I don't think having a drink during ovulation would cause any harm to the traveling egg , I was really laid bk this cycle and had a few glasses more than once before dtd X
Don't think it will harm the baby until it has implanted altho drinking to excess probably isn't a good idea X
I think being relaxed plays a major factor tho because stress can put ur whole system out of whack ,
Think of all the pregnant women that conceived bladdered , our DD was on Valentine's Day and she's perfect lol smart little cookie too lol xxx

fancyferret · 14/11/2015 08:28

OOh Congratulations GX!! I'm a bit slow keeping up with the thread at the moment. How exciting - baby on board Smile

Sorry about AF Mimi - hope you had a good evening and are feeling better. Fingers crossed for you for the next cycle.

I am with you third am trying to eat healthily in order to be in optimum health while TTC - having said this I am still drinking probably a little too much wine and not really doing any exercise...ahem. I do tend to have the odd small glass of wine in the 2ww but feel quite guilty so may knock this on the head.

Gx91 · 14/11/2015 09:34

Thanks fancy ferret hope to see more unravel on this thread good luck to u all Grin xxx

Peyia · 15/11/2015 07:52

Sorry Thirds, hope you are ok xx

Mimi sounds like you had a great night but sorry to hear you had been feeling low. This TTC malarkey is so hard on out emotions but glad to hear you're doing better Flowers where are you based mims?

Me? I'm doing ok. Nausea has eased but it comes in the night when I haven't eaten. Boobs are still sore. I fall asleep standing up!!

I don't know if this is a symptom but I'm a lot more straight talking and don't take no bs. I've had a few stern words with people (bitten their heads off!) which is not like me. I'm usually docile Hmm

I took my last test a couple of days ago and my line is as dark as the test line. Will probably stop now until booking in appointment.

Wishing everyone lots of baby dust xxx

Gx91 · 15/11/2015 08:46

Hey ladies how r we all this morning ?
Mimi glad u enjoyed your night out ! It's quite nice to take urself away from the TTC head frame sometimes I did when I got AF last cycle and it geared me up to restart lol X
I'm doing well thanks and OH is over the moon , think he's so used to dtd all the time lol he won't keep his hands off me ! Lol I know it's lovely but the bloated feeling makes me not wanting to be touched , been trying not to let the grumpy set in and let him for now haha xx
Peyia I have I test left probs do it tomorrow to check my line bcoz it was still faint on Friday , gona find it hard to stop after getting used to it over the last few months lol ( like morning protocol !

Peyia · 15/11/2015 09:10

Ahhh the bloating! I have that big style! Its clearly water and not cake...

GX hope you enjoy getting spoilt by oh Grin

ThirdThoughts · 15/11/2015 10:07

I'm still feeling sick and exhausted and now bloated. Hmm Hopefully these symptoms will dissipate soon if its a bug/virus.

Yes, BFing might be interfering a bit, but I'm okay to wait with that. I suspect that my weight/hypothyroidism is having more of an impact on my cycles (as have found they regulate beter when I''m lighter before) so plan to lose weight first, then consider reducing feeds if DC1 hasn't by then.

Mimilicious013 · 15/11/2015 10:10

Peyia u made me smile there. 'fall asleep standing ' lol i'd swap places with you any minute.lately having trouble sleeping.(always planning how best to get preggo) Sorry abt the bloating and nausea.u must have frequent meals in small quantity.hope u will soon feel better. Gx hey there give dh some love !!i can only imagine how u feeling but a little sacrifice gal,he is excited and im sure it's his way of showing it.kkk

ThirdThoughts · 15/11/2015 10:11

When DH said I was more short with him (before BFN) and that it might be a symptom, I was clear with him that IMO hormones don't make me unreasonable, they just calibrate my bullshit detector more finely and make me less tolerant of his BS. Wink

Anyway, he's looking after DS to let me have a nap, so better have a snooze.

Mimilicious013 · 15/11/2015 10:19

Sorry Third about your symptoms, hope u feel better soon.could it be af trying to show.i sme times experience that before my period .how old is DC1?what diet are you on?im on the max planck diet.a little drastic but it gives good results.

Mimilicious013 · 15/11/2015 10:24

Third you just made me laugh now.enjoy your nap.

Gx91 · 15/11/2015 17:49

jp0303 · 16/11/2015 00:31

Hi everyone, hope you've all had good weekends.

Glad you cheered yourself up with a good time Mimi, sounded like you needed it. I am a bit of everything this week, taking the middle ground today as had a glass of red wine with dinner and a lager in front of the tv this evening, hadn't had a drink all through the week, but had a fair few last Saturday out celebrating dh's birthday. I don't fit into just one of my categories! I am cd16 today. I am already hoping the next couple of weeks fly by so I know / can start again.

I think that's a good name Peyia, hopefully we can all join you there soon!

Mine were minimal but the thing that stuck out for me was cramping 3,4,5,6 dpo Duno what was causing it bcoz it was too early for implantation , it was just out of the ordinary , oh and only one boob hurt X
