Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

DC1 is 3 years and still BF. I've only had 3-4 periods since they restarted early in the year. It took a long time to conceive (years!) and my cycles were long and irregular then too.

We've just started DTD in the last month or so, after being out of the habit, and DH has just started taking medication for ED in the last couple of weeks. So it seems very unlikely... but I'm symptom spotting!

I've been feeling nauseous the last few days, found even pleasant smells a bit overwhelming, been tired (though that last one isn't unusual). I've had a bit of spotting, but not a normal period (and haven't had one for 3 months or so) Overnight I was almost sick, woke up with heartburn and now have a metallic taste in my mouth.

So if I'm not pregnant, I'm coming down with something. I think I might be pregnant, but surely it is unlikely to have happened that soon and with the ED probs DH was having!

After such a long negative experience of TTC before, I have an aversion to BFNs, so we don't plan to test until end of next week if proper period hasn't turned up. Already on prenatal vits and happy to abstain from alcohol (don't drink much anyway).

Had expected to have longer to get fit for pregnancy after deciding TTC so a bit nervous as I'm large, but would also be very excited! :)

Me? Well I caved and done a test. I'm slightly deflated because it just looks like an indent of where the pink dye would sit!! Had to rush off to work but will take and pic and post later.

Still feel rough and stabby pain boobies

Thanks everyone! We've been trying for 3 months but two months properly. I knew what you meant kiki it made me laugh because the lovely nausea is kicking in already! I'm scared now and knicker checking every five minutes! Edd is 16th of July. My dd was due the 24th of July and arrived on the 31st so it is going to be an expensive month!

Loki you'll have to come over to the JULY antenatal thread. My EDD is 26th June but the June thread seemed way ahead of me! I still like to lurk here too. I was constantly knicker checking until the horrendous nausea/vomiting hit now that's enough of a symptom to reassure me!

Here's hoping for some more BFP's really soon!!

My shy line attached. If you zoom in a zillion times and squint you might see a line, I can! Although I'm pondering that it might be an indent because apparently FRERS are known for that

Anyway I'm out of tests so will just have to wait until I'm late!!! My symptoms are still there. Was sitting in traffic with my windscreen wipers on full pelt and I started to feel sick!!! The sound just turned my stomach, no kidding!! If I'm not up the duff I'll just have to seek help on that one!!

You're right Owl but I have no self control when the tests are there!! Also what prompted me to test was the fact I have been feeling so off and was told FRERS can detect 6 days before AF for some women.

I'm not disheartened.....yet!!

I never got a bfp till well after I'd missed a period, so it doesn't mean it won't happen. Fx for you! When is af due?

My cycles usually average around 29-30 days. Last month was fairly early at 27 and I'm currently on CD24. Never got the + on the OPK but I think I missed my window for testing as I got ov pains on CD13.

I know I know I know!!! Too soon....oh well there always needs to be one crazy POAS addict on these ttc threads

Grrr peak day on my cycle according to chart yet negative opks I might stump up for a digital test. Dh has man flu so no chance of TTC tonight anyway I suspect

Figgy those damn opk!!! I honestly believe I missed my surge so you might be experiencing the same. They are not 100% reliable by themselves in my opinion. Are you temping??

Thanks peyia.i only use the ovulation calculator and check out theEWCM.am not good at temping but i do try to dtd every other day.

About day 23/24 I think peyia. Af due Mon/Tues. I'm going to hold out and not test till Fri next week if no af by then.

It's cd25 for me today and still having mild cramps since positive OPK , it's too early for me to b testing but hoping it's not an early sign of AF coming I felt a sick yesterday at the thought of eating lasagne for t but I don't know if that was a symptom only other thing is having really stressful dreams ( doing my head in) probably all coincidental X
Peyia I can see ur line ! Hope it turns into a BFP ! Really had a feeling we were both going to get it this month when we relised we wer both having the sm cycle days lol still holding out hope! X
Owllina - well done for resisting testing last month I spent a fortune on tests ! I'm not doing that this time round lol but it is really hard! Good luck to u !! X
Mimi - I think that's all we can do is dtd as much as possible ! It's annoying we can control what happens after that ! think CM is a good one to go by bcoz sperm don't survive long in anything other than EWCM , good luck to you ! X
Seems like we are loosing a lot of the girls to the pregnancy forum so this thread is a good one FX to all of us not get pregnant and congrats to all the ones that have xxx

Urgh, BFN this morn. Not a surprise but disappointing nonetheless. No signs of AF at all so am guessing I'm on another long cycle. CD30 atm.

Ds unwell today and wa awake from 11pm-4am last night. All in all it's been a shit week! Lots of for me tonight and then I'll work on positivity from tomorrow!
