Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

I'm at the point of using OPKs ( cheapy ones ) I'm cd 13 today and didn't get a positive OPK over the weekend , hoping I get a line soon or il b worrying about late ovulation or no ovulation this month !
A bit concerned but will have to wait and see ! Was hoping to have a summer baby but we will b out if don't catch it this month xx

Hoggle we were trying for so long and my diet/drinking felt like one thing I could control. Bonus now is with 2years of trying 9months of pregnancy and about a year of not really going out because of new baby I'm now a complete lightweight and a cheap date!!!Grin

I got a very faint line on OPK last night so keeping it to compare to today's !
Really quite anxious if I get no line today so fx an egg is on the way !
Dtd eod So hopefully be ok X having to rely on the cheap OPKs be coz moneys a bit tight this month! Xx

GX91did you get a positive OPK?? BTW it's hopingfortwo, we have matching cycles....for some reason I couldn't log on so have been MIA and had to come with a different username!

Anyway. I'm CD 15, not a whiff of a line and no smiley. Have been bonking like mad so hopefully we still have a good chance. 2nd month using OPK, first was just to try and this month properly ttc and to be honest it's stressed me out!!

Lol well having faint lines on OPKs but today's was def slightly darker !
Just testing every day to make sure j don't miss it Smile X
How have u getting on ? Have u had a pos OPK yet ? X we too r getting it on eod lol hoping this will be our month ! Grin ( was wondering where you had got to! ) xx

Just re read ur msg , don't worry if u haven't got a line yet could just b late ovulation , it's not uncommon to ovulate late in your cycle X keep testing I'm sure something will appear soon X good luck !! Xx

Hey lovely! I know been itching to post but coupled with having a ton of DIY (house is a complete project!) and then getting foggy brain and couldn't remember my log in!!!

I started testing too early CD10 and ran out of cheapies so never ever saw a line. Have 4 CB left so only testing once a day. No smiley today but there was a 2nd line, with the CB do you know if this counts as a sign for nearly reaching peak?

I hope we catch at the same time! Where are you based?? xx

I'm hoping the lines start faint and get darker , I looked on google and some ladies have posted images of there lines getting darker each day as they reach peak ovulation X
So if ur getting faint lines it's maybe building up lol

Hey peyia , as you can see my cd 15 and 16 OPKs a very faint ! Lol just going to do one everyday to see if they get darker probs won't ovulate til the weekend at this rate if I do lol xx

Very frustrating! Starting to think they're more harm than good!!

Will test later this eve when I get home. Have been eggy twinges around ovary area which is my def tell tale sign. Fx for us love and everyone else trying this month!

About to start 3rd month of TTC. DIdn't really put much effort into sex during the fertile times last 2 month (tiiiiiiirrrred, I blame DD1) but determined to get on with it properly this month.

DD1 was conceived 1st time we tried, so I became convinced I was super fertile and everything would be really easy 2nd time. I'm not quite 'worried' yet tell me to get a grip but in the back of my mind is a slighty worry that we're not going to find it so easy this time.

Would be good to be doing this with others in the same boat...

And I bought some OPK(?) sticks but have no idea how/when to use them. 1st day of period was 24 Oct so nearing the end now, might start testing in a few days?! If anyone fancies giving me an idiot's guide feel free, I'mscared to open the packet.

Welcome kiki!! It's so easy to get caught up in this that we're bound to feel anxious. I'd start testing with your OPK from CD10 but it really is down to the individual, some start earlier due to their cycle length. So take your average cycle and work from there! Good luck and keep us posted!!

Gx I just done a CB digi and it was neg. keep feeling the twinges so I know I'm close. I don't think my CB is dual hormone so it will only pick up the peak. I'm getting so desperate to see a line I took the stick from the dispenser, but it doesn't count right?

We have literally been doing it everyday since last Thursday. Hopefully we don't get fatigued and miss it....

Welcome Kiki uv joined the right thread , write whatever u like On here we will support u through it ! Like peyia says u can work out ur ovulation time by using an ovulation calculator on the internet but they aren't always correct everyone is different as to when they ovulate , wouldn't do any harm using the sticks xx

Peyia - u crack me up ! I didn't know what u were on about with the farting ! Lol givin me a good giggle tonight tho ! Ur OPK stick is darker than mine I think ur positive OPK is just round the corner keep testing mibi twice a day so u don't miss it Grin X
I might do another one before bed lol think I'm addicted to POAS! Xx

Hi Kiki, welcome on board. I have had similar expectations to you as conceived ds first month of trying, so thought it would be easy again. I see now that although I was saying it would probably take longer this time, I hadn't actually embraced that and was hoping for a repeat of easy conception.

I haven't used OPKs so can't help you there, there are lots of lovelies using them on here though so I'm sure you'll get the advice that you asked for. I will read it all as I am intrigued by them and would be tempted to try them out if they are helpful just a bit worried that I could get obsessive.

I'm pretty sure that I haven't conceived this month, so waiting for AF to start it all over again and will pay more attention to my cycle days. Is anyone using any fertility or ovulation apps? Any recommendations?

Gx I've only got one stick left Sad so tomorrow is my last day. I'd be CD17, last month I got my pos on CD14. The body is a funny thing! Maybe it's because I am thinking ttc 24/7....
