Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Hi all, sorry I've been MIA for a few days - I usually use MN on the app but they've taken it down so I've been getting to grips with the mobile site. I got a positive opk today (yay!) so won't be long before I'm in the tww and trying not to POAS Smile

darkpandora · 30/08/2015 21:17

Hey everyone well AF never arrived today so while I was out with a friend I brought a couple of tests.

I got home and took one and it was a BFP!!! line was really really dark almost instantly I'm in shock and little scared. Will do another test tomorrow to double check it wasn't a faulty test

How's everyone else getting on hope you are all ok Smile

CakeLady456 · 30/08/2015 22:48

Yey congrats pandora!!!

darkpandora · 30/08/2015 23:58

Reebok · 31/08/2015 09:38

Great news! Congrats Darkpandora and Anna!! To those AF got, fx for next cycle. Seems like this thread is really flying with all the bfps!

Jorah how are you getting on? Any news?

Tamara160 · 31/08/2015 11:02

Congratulations Pandora!! That's a very strong line! Fingers crossed for a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Exciting Millie! Hopefully this is the one for you!

Oysterbabe · 31/08/2015 11:08

Could be twins with hormones that strong so early Wink

goldensunlight · 31/08/2015 11:24

Congratulations pandora! And all the other BFPs that are happening here!!

It is almost time for me to test... AF is due on Friday so I am hanging on to avoid testing early if I can... still have incredibly sore (and large) boobs which are covered in veins and I slept for 12 hours last night after napping for about 2 hours in the afternoon! So am staying hopeful :)

darkpandora · 31/08/2015 11:58

Thank you so much everyone for all your kind words and congratulations. I did another test today and it was the same another strong dark line so I'm ok now.

oyster TWINS!! I hope not lol

FX to everyone waiting I hope we all end up on the grads board together really soon all celebrating all our pregnancies together Grin

I'm gonna hang around on here if that's ok as I wanna see how everyone gets on Smile

Tamara160 · 31/08/2015 13:40

Of course it's ok Pandora! I have to admit, I thought twins too! Very happy for you Smile

Oo golden, i'll cross everything for you. From your symptoms, it sounds hopeful!

MillieMoodle · 31/08/2015 15:56

I got another positive opk today so let's hope DH isn't too tired when he gets in from work later Wink

jorahmormont · 31/08/2015 16:11

AF has shown up at last so confirmed not an ectopic, phew. Unfortunately I'm not sure whether TTC will have to go on hold until this appendix/whatever is fixed :(

goldensunlight · 31/08/2015 16:18

Thank you Tamara! I have one test in the house and so I know it is going to be tough not to test before AF is late but going to try my best!!

Jorah - very glad to hear that the risk of an ectopic has now gone and I hope you get well soon so you can continue with ttc

Tamara160 · 31/08/2015 22:16

I'm glad to hear it's not as bad as you thought Jorah. I'd perhaps put TTC on hold until you know exactly what is happening with regard to your appendix. I know it would be hard but there could be risks. Are you able to talk to your doctor about it?

haha I know what you mean Golden, it's so hard not to test early! I swear the one in my draw started calling my name last week! Hopefully it'll be worth the wait though!

FX for you Millie!

FuzzyOwl · 31/08/2015 22:20

Congratulations Pandora.

AF has finished now, so on cycle day seven. Usually ovulate around day 20 but on a family holiday from day 12 to 19, so not really sure I will have any chance this cycle.

Notrobusta · 01/09/2015 14:25

More BFPs . congratulations darkpandora. Those of you who have had your bfp, how long after conception did you start to get symptoms. It's been so long since I had my DS that I can't remember.

darkpandora · 02/09/2015 13:01

notroI'm not entirely sure sorry I was so shocked this month as I didn't think I ovulated because I never saw any signs of ovulation. I did get really sore boobs for quite a while before AF was due I'm sure it started about a week before it was one of the reasons I took a test once I was late.

Waves to everyonehow are you all doing?

Reebok · 02/09/2015 17:00

notro I'm not sure as I was run down with an ear infection a week before I got my positive...suppose that was my symptom as with dd I also had a throat infection.

How's everyone else getting on?

lostindubai · 02/09/2015 17:58

Notro the frequent peeing and sore nipples started almost immediately and then the nausea at around 6 weeks.

Hi all, how's everyone? Hope we're all remaining cool, calm and collected? Grin

Well bugger. Doctors are now thinking rather than appendicitis, it's something along the lines of endometriosis. Scan tomorrow to find out. Freaking out about fertility now :(

lostindubai · 02/09/2015 22:25

Oh jorah Flowers try not to worry. Easy for me to say I know. Hopefully tomorrow will give you some answers. Let us know how it goes x

jorahmormont · 02/09/2015 22:48

I suppose the fact that we have DD means chances are good that we'll be able to conceive again. And I'm young, that's got to be a good thing right?
