Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Ah mrshughes I bet you'll be fine and your best not to worry too much!

jorahmormont · 26/08/2015 19:43

Well AF is staying away but I've got really bad pains in my right side Hmm so I think it's on its way.

jorahmormont · 26/08/2015 19:45

Ooh congratulations MrsHughes!

Reebok · 26/08/2015 19:52

Thanks Decca. Fx you will be joining us on the grads thread soon.

Congrats Mrs Hughes! Please try not to worry. I had a mc and went back the pill for three months. Then j came off the pill, started ttc and got pregnant with my dd who is now two. I know it's easier said than done to not worry...I'm stressing over the same thing right now but only because I conceived straight after my 2nd mc. Fx for us both!

Notrobusta · 26/08/2015 20:09

Yay, finally managed to reset password.
Congratulations to all the BFP, there have been loads so a relaxed approach must be working.

My stats

Age 39
TTC number 3
DD 9, DS 6
Just going into cycle number 3

Finding staying relaxed a challenge I must say !

MillieMoodle · 26/08/2015 21:03

Evening all! Congratulations MrsHughes, more great news!

Not much to report here - my 50 IC's arrived from ebay so my POAS addiction can resume this monthBlush (although not in the tww yet so will hold off for a while!).

I got a refund from FR in the post today after complaining about a dodgy pack of FRERs (bought a pack of 2 and when I opened it up there was only one test in there - outrageous!). They were very apologetic though.

Hope everyone has a fab evening Smile

Tamara160 · 26/08/2015 22:06

Hi everyone!

Only just managed to get back on after the chaos!
Wow you ladies have been chatty! Welcome to all those that have joined Smile

Congratulations to MrsHughes and annat!! Flowers Fantastic news for you both!

AF is due in 3 days. I've got sore boobs (but this could could be due to AF), slight nausea (again AF), exhausted, cramps and crazy dreams!

My stats:

26
TTC #1
Cycle #1
Using Ovia app to track AF etc.

Bluepigoon · 27/08/2015 06:39

MillieMoodle · 27/08/2015 07:08

Congratulations bluepigoon!

AnnaC82 · 27/08/2015 09:11

Congrats MrsHughes and Bluepigoon!
I have done another test this morning and pretty sure i am BFP... Definitely a stronger line than yesterday. Think I need the confirmation of a digital test tinbe 100% convinced though! Staying at my mum's until tomorrow so will have to wait!

lostindubai · 27/08/2015 09:20

Welcome ProjectBaby and good luck for your TTC journey Smile

Congratulations MrsHughes and BluePigoon! Wonderful to see so many BFPs rolling in!

Fx for you Pandora, Tamara, Golden and Cake. Exciting times.

Hi to everyone else, glad to see people returning after the password fiasco x

I'm still feeling pants, constantly nauseous. Need some looser clothes already, it's all the inappropriate food I'm eating rather than any bump appearing, definitely uncomfortable in my normal jeans. Sigh.

Wow so many BFPs! Congratulations ladies and fingers crossed AnnaC!

beckslovestimmy · 27/08/2015 09:38

Hi ladies can I join in? Just starting to try for number 2. DD 1 is 2.5. It took nearly 2 years to conceive her and we had started fertility investigations. I was due to start taking clomid and oestrogen but got a BFP that cycle. Not sure if the problems I had then will still be a problem now so we're just going to see what happens for a while.
I'm in AF now after 1st month of trying so waiting for that to finish and then onto the next month!
Morning to everyone, will have a read of the whole thread in a bit to get to know you all a bit better. Smile

Tamara160 · 27/08/2015 10:39

Congratulations Blue! Fingers crossed for a happy and healthy pregnancy Smile

Welcome becks, I hope this cycle is the one for you!

I hope you start feeling better soon Lost.

MrsHughes25 · 27/08/2015 10:55

It's so strange. Can anyone help with my questions?
I took my last pill 24/07/15, had brown discharge/blood the 29th, fresh red blood the 30th then it stopped.
25/08 I get my BFP so am I right in thinking I'm 4weeks pregnant?

Also I have my first midwife appointment, what do I expect?

Vicky2307 · 27/08/2015 11:09

All these positive tests - congratulations everyone!! And good luck to the rest of us who are still waiting.

jorahmormont · 27/08/2015 11:28

First midwife appointment - don't expect an awful lot MrsHughes, you tell them you're pregnant and they'll arrange your booking in appointment for 9/10 weeks and that's basically it from what I remember.

MrsHughes25 · 27/08/2015 11:33

Brilliant name Jorah haha!

Ok, so would I be right in thinking I'm 4 weeks?
First baby- nervous mommy lol x

jorahmormont · 27/08/2015 12:13

It's hard to tell, esp if you had a withdrawal bleed from the pill rather than a period. If you go from the day of fresh blood on the 30th, you're exactly four weeks :)

I'm a bit rubbish on the early bits as I didn't find out with DD until I was 6/7 weeks!

darkpandora · 27/08/2015 14:53

Omg congrats to all of the BFP's!! This is so exciting so many of you! I'm so happy for you all x

Welcome to all newbies nice to have you join us I hope you all get your BFP's very soon

To everyone still waiting I hope your wait isn't very long and we can all be on the grads thread celebrating together soon

AF is due tomorrow I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant this time round as only symptom I seem to have is really really sore nipples(tmi) but there's always hope especially with so many BFP's Smile

lexb14 · 27/08/2015 15:20

Wow, so many BFP's congratulations all.

AF due yesterday or today but no sign yet.... and typically before AF arrives I normally have a bit of brownish spotting normally but haven't this month.

I did a couple of internet cheapie tests both BFN's one last week and one the week before.

But I still have symptoms - sore boobs, exhausted but can't sleep, v hungry, feel a bit nauseous but eating makes me feel better, but I am too scared to test again and be disappointed with another negative Hmm Confused

I bought a clear blue non digital one but can;t bring myself to test - also I always seem to have to go for a couple of half asleep wees in the night and so my fmu isn't really my fmu, could this have been the problem with my earlier tests?

This is only my first cycle, but its horrendous, i'm finding it so hard to think about anything else! Blush

obsessedlex · 27/08/2015 15:26

Just changed my username - hello!

lostindubai · 27/08/2015 15:58

Lex if you read the clear blue instructions I don't think you have to use fmu if you're on your due date for AF.

Can I ask why people buy cheap tests off the Internet? From what I've read they can be really inaccurate and increase anxiety. I've only ever used clear blue but then I never thought it was expensive tbh.

MrsHughes I wish I could help! I've no idea under the circumstances you describe. Perhaps you'll be offered an earlier scan to try and get the dates sooner? Re your first midwife appt - don't you have to see your GP first? I won't see my midwife until the booking in appt (after referral from gp) although I've already had a letter with my scan appointment.

Hi becks. You might have a completely different experience this time. Your body knows what to do now Wink my first ds took a year to conceive- this time I got pg first time trying.

Thanks Tamara. I hope so too!
