Short Luteal Phase

So after 6 months of ttc I've worked out I've got a short luteal phase of 9 days, however it could be even less. I get a positive opk on day 19 and 9 days later AF appears. I'm fearing it could be less that 9 days if I ovulate 24-36 hours after a postive opk. No suprises that there hasn't been a bfp yet. I'm thinking this is my obstacle. Seems I've tried everything else. Do I go to my GP? Is there any point? On preconception vitamins with b6 in and have been in them for three months and no changes. Also AF is really painful every month, wondering if there is more to this. Any ideas? Or anyone experienced/ing similar?

Fingers x Doobeedee, it's not like AF yet. It's lighter, almost like the end of AF.

Thanks mrs. I'll update tomorrow morning. Really unsure with the CB though as its so definitive with no lines to interpret! Has the laziest day ever. Literally not moved from the sofa, had no energy! Not like me, I get bored easily.

It's confirmed in black and white 'pregnant' can't believe it, I'm in shock! Brown spotting still here but very light, got the doctors tomorrow so I can mention it. Now I better chill out a bit!

Eod and everyday when I thought I'd have a positive opk right until the end of the fertile period and for the three days after fertile period (my ovia app tracked I'd dtd most days of my fertile period and never really after it so I thought I'd give it a go as I might be ovualting after the fertile period).

B complex everyday
Vitamin C everyday 50mg
Preseed

Bizarrely being told there is no chance this month made me just go and have fun and forget about it a little.

Oh and I'm at the doctors now, couldn't wait until tomorrow just in case I need extra progesterone to sustain the pregnancy!

Ah they told me to wait it out. Said they need to see if I can sustain pregnancy naturally first 5 weeks 2 days apparently, from last AF, so I'm guessing that's +2

Oh and DH was on conception vitamins x

How are you feeling Mascara?
I've got the preseed (conceive plus) covered & I've started hubby on the vitamins. Might try Vit C after I've had my bloods done as I told the GP I'm just taking the Seven Seas so want to stick with that for now x

Thanks sunshine! Shary I'm hungry, eaten loads and my tummy has been rumbling for more. Ive felt exhausted the last two days but I've picked up on energy today. I'm mega bloated too, look way more pregnant. Spotting is very light. Apart from that everything feels the same! Wishing you all your bfps soon!

And shary preseed and conceive plus are similar just different brands. People swear by one or the other on the reviews. Whether it made that much difference who knows.

Flymo I still can't quite believe it. The gp told me to accept it and said 'what'll be will be' that there's no point getting anxious about 'what ifs' as it's our of my control, true. So here's the chilled out me keep me updated ladies with how you are getting on!

Yes I'll stick around, I want to see all you lovelies get you bfps too. It's been a great support on here as TTC can be a lonely journey when nobody knows! Have you guys told anyone apart from OHs? I didn't tell anyone and I won't be saying anything about the bfp either until 12 weeks fingers crossed!

My best friend knows. People keep asking me when I'm going to have a baby. One person is convinced I'm pregnant because I didn't drink on a night out (even though I don't drink anyway!). That was frustrating!! I wish people would asking me. No one cared about my sex life before I got married!! x

Thanks star. Its wierd as I don't feel pregnant but then again I'm not sure how I should feel so early on. Just been to the nurse to register at the new surgery (standard procedure) and there's blood in my urine so got to wait for that to come back Friday now. UTI maybe? Although I'm in no pain. I want to test again! I was gutted they didn't test for me. How you doing star?

Shary I couldn't quite admit to my best mate we were trying, I just said that I don't think it'll be long before we try. She lives quite far away.

I'm OK, my period came 3 days late (i am never late) so it looks like I don't have a short LP after all but 12 days. A bit frustrating as I thought I'd figured out my problem and was about to stock up on all the bits you did mascara!

Currently on CD5 and am now temping (what a pain!) and will use OPKs again this cycle, see if there's a pattern. Depressingly, I turn 35 next week (the dreaded age!) but I'm hoping that means the GP will take some action (when I call up!)
