Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory, who wouldn't?)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

So was checking cervix position and cm was a bit orange/pink tinged Confused

honeysucklejasmine · 02/06/2015 10:37

Country several people have had that, don't panic.

Today I need to sort out the damage done by the wind last night. Yay. Sad Must get some more compost, as I have been forced to plants things out before I wanted to. Oh well.

weechops · 02/06/2015 11:19

Hey everyone can I jump on board the June bus too? Last time I was on a ttc bus was in 2013 and I didn't think id be doing this again Grin

I have 3dc (8,4,18m) so this will be -#4. Actually dtd at the right time is tricky as my dh works away so I only have a couple of goes this year!

Stats for me then - weechops, age 35, cycle 1, ttc #4, bfp due 19 June.

weechops · 02/06/2015 11:24

Oops forgive me js'ers I've posted in the wrong thread. I don't think I'm chilled out enough to be here (I have 50 opk in the bathroom cabinet already!) fx for all your bfp's Smile

CountryGal4 · 02/06/2015 11:34

Weechops you're very welcome to stay. We all suffer from the crazies and frequently piss on opks/temp

weechops · 02/06/2015 11:53

Haha I know the crazies very well countrygal , I've never poas at 7 or 8 dpo, oh no not me Grin Last dc took 10 months to conceive and I may have googled 'home freezing of sperm' since dh kept bloody missing my ov days!

stoatystoat · 02/06/2015 12:08

Hello ladies
Honey I am Pmsl at your blowing post.

CD16 maybe here but maybe later, maybe CD18 but who cares. I am not stressing this month now as think very unlikely. I used the clear blue sticks this month, did it on each of my high peak fertility days, got the peak fertility day but was away from DH thst day and then DTD on the following day. Should have done it yesterday as well just for good measure but wasn't in the mood and I'm trying to avoid those shags now if I can help it. I had a concert last night with a friend who I just found out is due in October. It was very hard seeing her with her bump. I'm feeling calm today about ttc, wish it could stay like that. I think the sticks have helped, if they are reliable anyway.

honeysucklejasmine · 02/06/2015 12:36

Happy to be of service Stoat!

CarrotPuff · 02/06/2015 12:43

Thanks lil, I know, I'm such a hypocrite Confused

Country stay away from your cervix!

Just feeling a bit down. Still no job and still no baby... It's like my brain and my uterus are plotting against me. I suspect the brain is bossing around uterus though shut up brain. Oh well, maybe it's for the best. I'm a strong believer in things working out themselves but it would be nice to have a job before getting upduffed - one less worry and all that...

picklethistle · 02/06/2015 12:50

carrot I feel the same, I am working but it's all over the place and nothing is reliable. Also not sure how I'm actually going to do this job when I'm upduffed (super physical not a chance with a bump) let's just throw that caution to the wind and everything will work out Grin

stoatystoat · 02/06/2015 14:18

Good luck with your job hunts. My position isn't stable either so just going for it and hang the consequence.

Can I ask ppl who have used the clear blue digital monitors with the smiley face or those in the know. How many days after the solid smiley face should I DTD for? Is there purpose to doing it on the flashy smiley days? Just for next month...

maemay · 02/06/2015 14:29

sheepishly creeps back in to say hi
Sorry I've been away for a while! Work suddenly got really busy, and then went on hol, so I've missed 4 whole freds!!

In other news, check out this pic!!!!! :-O

honeysucklejasmine · 02/06/2015 14:33

Mae! Well, it would appear that you are upduffed! Welcome back, now fuck off to the Grads! Wink Grin

loveradleybags · 02/06/2015 14:41

Congrats Mae!!!!! i may not be ttc currently but i love seeing your BFP

maemay · 02/06/2015 14:42

hehe, thanks! Can't quite believe it, cos it was only the first cycle of properly ttc (if you discount the crotchless condoms month!)

So, stats....
DTD O-3, and day of Ov.

Tested 31/05/15 at 13 dpo (AF 3 days late) - v faint line.
Tested 02/06/15 at 15 dpo (AF 5days late) - stronger line.

My ROC was a "be good to yourself roast vegetable & couscous salad" pot (plenty of space to hold it and manage to not pee on my fingers!)

No "symptoms" yet.
I feel completely normal, so am slightly skeptical, but still no AF, and a line is a line, right? eeeeeeeeek!!

justtheonethen · 02/06/2015 14:58

Hi all. Not had a chance to read back properly but sorry carrot, you're not out til you're out though.

country leave it alone woman!

I'm feeling like shit, knackered and headachy and feeling proper doom and gloom too. Am in the late luteal depression phase as I've decided to call it. Totally convinced it's not happened this month, again. Sad

justtheonethen · 02/06/2015 15:00

mae! hurrah! We done you!

justtheonethen · 02/06/2015 15:00

*we? Well!

CountryGal4 · 02/06/2015 15:03

Same just I am a misery too . I just ate two chocolate cupcake to console myself Confused

Viroids I have backed away from my fanny!!

CountryGal4 · 02/06/2015 15:05

Congrats Mae you are upduffed my turn

Fivemonkeysjumpingonthebed · 02/06/2015 15:38

Congratulations Mae

Interesting that you mention late luteal depression Just, I've started to realise that I get really down at certain points. Today is one of them but that could have been the nurse yesterday. Thinking now that it might be because my hormones are all over the place and I'm not ovulating. Spent the day shuffling around one place to another being miserable. Tired, teary, bored of my own company!

Wow I've become a real joy on this thread haven't I!

5hell · 02/06/2015 16:03

welcome back and congrats mae!! Grin

upduffed despite poor JSing only dtd x2? you give us all hope

love the ROC too!

stoatystoat · 02/06/2015 16:27

I find my depression is definitely cyclical, not sure if hormone related or just the roller coaster of not pregnant - trying again hopeful - anxiety have I done it enough - symptom spotting anxiety/could I be pregnant hopeful - PMT ad infinitum

I'm in the have I tried hard enough bit, hence asking is there any point in doing it on the flashing smiley days as I'm a bit pissed off we didn't do it enough around the fixed smiley days.

stoatystoat · 02/06/2015 16:27

Congrats Mae btw

CarrotPuff · 02/06/2015 16:52

Congrats mae, I was wondering where you have gone!

I'm not sure Stoat, I think you ice 24-48h after you get a solid smiley? This is just from what I've read though...
