TWW officially begins!!!!!

AF due 13th May and have no idea of how I'm going to wait that long!

This is our first cycle TTC baby #1 and since we have decided to try I have been very anxious. I just want this to happen, my close family have all had fertility issues and I've convinced myself I will too.

Just thought I'd start thus for support for all wanting some words if encouragement.

hopeful that is great news!! Definitely keeping fingers firmly crossed for you :)

yes I think if I don't get any AF appearances then I will test tomorrow as that's when app says to do it as should be CD1 technically.... i am nervous and excited at the same time, and can't actually believe that it could have happened. So trying to not get my hopes up in case my cycle is longer than I think it should be.

That is good to know that you have felt some cramps too. I kinda wish I had just tested this morning, but at the same time, cos I felt the cramps I thought it might be a waste. I might pop to the supermarket at lunch and get some more tests (cheap ones) and sneakily try tonight, as I feel like hubby might notice if I use the ones I have at home currently...then I can order a more expensive one to confirm it with any bits for telling hubby!

Hopefulnewbie · 13/05/2015 10:02

bourbondreams thank you Smile lets hope it sticks
Picking up some cheap ones is a good idea, always good to have extra cos if your anything like me , youl do about 5 to confirm!
I also wanted to do a test first on my own without DP because if it was a neg (like the first 2/3 were!) I didn’t want him to see how disappointed I was and I kinda like being myself to collect my thoughts
I still havnt told DP – it was so hard not to last night! But I gave a little hint this morning by casually saying that I think im late, I didn’t want to get him too excited as he thinks my body is still adjusting to not being on the pill.. so hopefully on the weekend it will be a surprise without giving him a heartattack!

sarah1391 · 13/05/2015 11:05

Morning ladies :)

bourbon i have 3 apps haha period diary, FF and ovia fertility. Fx for u! Sounding like u might get ur BFP

hopeful i'm going to test on saturday i think, ordered first response tests today as i've just got tesco ones so depends when they come in! Looks like ur def pregnant with these multiple BFPs, congrats!!

Hoping i'm going to get some of ur luck

bourbondreams · 13/05/2015 12:09

hopeful Yeah if I don't get a positive I am going to order internet ones for next time! But will get some more now. I know what you mean re disappointing them! I don't want to do one when he is near for that reason. So might try while he is distracted tonight, and then again in am.

sarah1391 I use Ovia too, I did use kindara but then they had an update which really ruined all my results, so I dropped off that one. I find Ovia really useful.

I've been so unproductive today, I think I just want to know one way or another, cos all i can think about is babies, hen weekend, weddings, and telling my mum cos the other day she kept asking me if I was OK, like she could tell I'm hiding something. And I haven't wanted to get anyones hopes up, as keeping our own hopes low is hard enough!

sarah1391 · 13/05/2015 13:10

hopeful are the internet cheapies good? I was going to buy some but scared they wouldnt work

bourbon yeah i really like ovia, its the one i use most out of the 3 and i like getting an email from them daily!

I know its really difficult, my hopes are up but at the same time i'm prepared for a BFN

Hopefulnewbie · 13/05/2015 13:24

Sarah1391 everyone on here seemed to be recommending them, I bought a bunch (well, 10) cos I didn’t want to spend loads of money on store tests and they all turn out negative… I’ve done about 4 internet tests and they have all shown up with a faint line .. so I would def recommend buying them to use then you can always buy the store ones when you get a bfP to confirm… but then if you’ve already got the first response and tesco ones fingers crossed you don’t need to be buying anymore!! Smile

bourbondreams its worth a shot tonight, even if nothing shows up you can just test again in the morning… youl only be thinking about it if you dont

sarah1391 · 13/05/2015 13:36

Thanks hopeful :) depends what the first response one says as i'd said to someone on here about the tesco ones and they're apparently not that sensitive...fx i get a BFP, must be so exciting! How are u managing keeping it from DP? I'd be terrible lol

bourbondreams · 13/05/2015 13:51

sarah1391 Yes I find the emails really useful and I like the information that it gives on screen when you put details in. It definitely helps to understand a bit more at times.

hopeful I have purchased some from tescos - as nearest shop for me to get to, and will try them tonight. we shall see, if not i can try tomo am, and also order the ultra sensitive ones just in case to check :)

Am feeling anxious now, roll on home - time and being able to go and have a quick test! I was so worried I would bump into someone from office when I was in tescos!

Been so hungry today... I have tried to cope on salad and fruit, but really want some sweets... must not break!

Hopefulnewbie · 13/05/2015 13:54

sarah1391 im keeping my fingers crossed for you.. ive heard on here aswell that its sometimes takes a while to show positive on tests even after AF was due.. so even if the first one is neg , your not out until you get AF
My lines are faint so im hoping they get darker over the next few days.. Im getting the odd cramp and im already panicking
Last night was difficult! I think I went to tell him like 10times so in the end I said I was tired and was going for a bath then I went straight to bed and fell asleep with him still downstairs haha, he prob thinks im annoyed with him now Wink

sarah1391 · 13/05/2015 14:35

bourbon yeah it's pretty good :) fx u get a BFP later!

hopeful thanks :) i've got my hopes up far too much for it being my first time! i've heard a few people saying that they get cramps when they are pregnant though (something to do with the embryo etc...) so i'm sure it's fine! haha oh well when u do tell him he'll know exactly why!

bourbondreams · 13/05/2015 14:54

will let you know later how it goes. desperately trying not to be too hopeful though. It just doesn't seem possible that it could have happened first attempt especially with my endo. Just seems too much of a miracle!!

Sodasoda · 13/05/2015 16:18

Fingers crossed to you all girls. I was symptom spotting like mad last month and had convinced myself I was going to get bfp even though it was first month TTC and only just off pill! I think you spend so long trying not to get pregnant that you just expect it to happen right away once you've decided you're ready - or at least I did!

I'm a bit behind you in cycles - on CD9 now so gearing up for lots of ermm doing the deed over the next week! I'm going to be an absolute nightmare in a couple of weeks I can already see it!

Xx

Sodasoda · 13/05/2015 16:19

hopeful - so pleased for you! Fingers crossed it sticks. So hoping it happens for me so quick too - and the rest of us on here! Xx

Itwillhappenforus · 13/05/2015 16:47

soda, you're at the fun bit lol!!

Girlies keep checking this feed throughout the day to see if any of you have tested, keeping my fx for you all!!!!

This is going to sound odd (and TMI, sorry in advance), but I usually spot for about a day and then start my proper AF. However have been spotting for about two days and haven't had the usual full on AF yet. Def red / pink spots but very very very light! May do a test when I get home.

I think my mind and body are playing tricks on me, as I now can't remember this is normal or not for me. Plus I have been working late into the night at home everyday this week so a little stressed and sleep deprived. Let's see when I get home.

On the app front, I use Ovia and Mycalendar. I like both but if had to choose, definitely Ovia. Great for the little tips and facts they update the feed with when you input data.

I do have the internet cheapies at home for the times when I want to test initially and also a CB digital for hopefully when I get a BFP I can confirm with that. I'm planning on giving that to my DP with a babygrow from his favourite football team when it happens.

Hope you're all well.

Hopeful, I've no idea how you are keeping sane!! Lol. I think I would like to do the same as you so that I am 100% of the result but it literally would drive me crazy. And I definitely cannot keep a secret!

Bourbon, thinking of you this evening, let us know how you get on Smile

VioletIbiza88 · 13/05/2015 17:22

Hiya can I join you all? Lots of imminent testing on this thread, very exciting! Hopeful congrats on your bfp! Can't believe your managing to keep it a secret so well! When does he get the good news?

I'm currently 6 DPO on my second cycle ttc number 1. Testing a week on Saturday if no AF before then, so ages to wait yet!

Good luck to you all!

sarah1391 · 13/05/2015 18:24

violet hi waves from the other thread i know u from

bourbondreams · 13/05/2015 18:46

It was a BFN

sarah1391 · 13/05/2015 18:57

Sorry bourbon Flowers fx it was just too early

bourbondreams · 13/05/2015 19:58

Thanks sarah1391 and sorry my message was short - I was needing to get on with dinner otherwise hubby would wonder what I was up to replying with a longer message as soon as got in! haha. I am thinking it isn't even past when AF is due so not worried. Its due tomorrow so we will see, I will order the ultra sensitive ones from amazon tomorrow and then try them on Friday when they arrive, but I will prob try my last tesco one tomorrow. I've not had any AF symptoms like I normally get - they are so bad with my endo I know its coming days before it does normally... I have no idea what is going on if not though... we shall see :)

itwillhappen did you test yet? I am keeping FX for you :) lets get some more BFPs on this thread :)

I'm keeping positive until AF arrives... But think I prob won't drink this weekend if it hasn't arrived as not sure its worth the risk? What would you all do? Obv I still have today and Friday to get a result or AF so who knows... I have a feeling its more likely to be AF...

sarah1391 · 13/05/2015 20:32

bourbon i've been told that the tesco ones arent sensitive enough to show up before AF is due so fx ur result is different next time!

on another thread i'd asked about drinking as DPs uncle is having a family get together thing this weekend (and i cant really use the excuse of DP is drinking and i'm driving considering DP is away just now) so its fine to have a few drinks until ur about 6 weeks pregnant as it doesnt affect the baby until then

I'm feeling a bit meh tonight...tired, sad, a bit dizzy which is weird. I get quite emotional before AF arrives (my only sign that AF is on her way, although i dont normally realise thats why i'm emotional until after shes here!) so hoping thats not why

Itwillhappenforus · 13/05/2015 23:31

Hey Ladies, I did test and BFN.

I wasn't surprised as I do spot before my AF, just waiting for it to properly start now.

Starting to think positive as the beginning of AF means the start of a new cycle / opportunity to get pregnant.

Bourbon it's not over until AF shows up so hoping for the best over the next couple of days.

Violet WELCOME!! Definitely nice having us all on this feed to catch up with when we have our usual daily TTC thoughts!

*Sarah I haven't drank for about 6 weeks to prepare for TTC, however now thinking this is a little extra. Will have the occasional glass of wine if I'm out if I want it. Will probably avoid the last two weeks in my cycle just in case.

sarah1391 · 13/05/2015 23:52

itwillhappen sorry for BFN, could it just be too early? Its weird because i dont actually drink, i had a few drinks around xmas time and probably only a few drinks this whole year then as soon as we're ttc theres suddenly a family thing - which just so happens to be his uncle showing off his new bar they've built in their house (HUGE house). As soon as i get a BFP i obviously wont drink at all but i think 1 or 2 ciders at the weekend should be ok (not expecting a BFP this month really but sods law i'll have a drink then get one!!)

gakay · 14/05/2015 08:22

You girls have been chatty!

Sorry bourbon and itwillhappen for bfn.
Am still spotting for the 6th day but af not shown her face yet. I couldn't be bothered to test again yesterday as knew af is imminent and had a kir royale. Have never missed my AF so much.

After reading so many of you here use ovia I've downloaded it. It does look a lot prettier than FF.

Good luck to those who are testing today.

Hopefulnewbie · 14/05/2015 08:24

bourbondreams its still early days as maybe AF is due on the weekend .. but that’s a good sign that your not getting any of the usual signs for that showing up… I have a good feeling so im keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

Welcome violet how are you holding out on not testing?

Thanks for all the congrats Grin still very early days, the test says 1-2 weeks pregnant so I just gotta keep my fingers crossed it sticks and im trying not to get too excited, which is impossible!

itwillhappen sorry about the bfN but its great that your thinking positive.. I think that’s the best way to look at it – it’s a fresh month and another chance

sarah1391 you feeling ok today? Do you usually feel a bit dizzy before – only saying because ive felt dizzy on and off for the last 2weeks
