TWW officially begins!!!!!

AF due 13th May and have no idea of how I'm going to wait that long!

This is our first cycle TTC baby #1 and since we have decided to try I have been very anxious. I just want this to happen, my close family have all had fertility issues and I've convinced myself I will too.

Just thought I'd start thus for support for all wanting some words if encouragement.

bourbondreams that would be a great idea, such a shame your not close to one, would they deliver maybe?
i think im going to play it safe with DP, break the news to him gently just in case he has a heart attack lol ... i think he thought it would be a few months yet, and we have an all inclusive holiday booked in July which was going to be our last blow out holiday, not that il mind missing out on the drink and seafood if it turns out to be positive!

Yeah september is our last holiday, which is Italy for the wedding, we are making it an almost two week trip... :/ could be interesting if I am pregnant for it! I will miss the wine then! But will be worth it, plus can take some back with us for after then :)

I will have to check if they can deliver, I will need to tell hubby on Friday if I am as he will have to help me not drink over weekend! And help me keep the distraction!

Yes its always been somewhere on our list, but always seemed to go further afield these past few years - unless its Paris - which is my favourite place.

Just been researching some ideas for Barcelona when we go for the hen weekend... trying to find activities for 7 people is hard! No idea what to do, or if we really even need one? Hmmmm...

Are you going to test again tomorrow?

Hello ladies! Coming in very late but would love to join - you sound lovely!!

I'm in my second month TTC, just came off pill at end of March. Obviously I was certain it was going to happen straight away! I also promised myself I wouldn't be a crazy lady but very excited and have barely been able to think about anything else. Gearing up for lots and lots of trying over the next week or so!

Here's hoping you guys get some good news this month xx

bourbondreams i love Paris , wev been a few times in the last few years - only for long weekends but theres just so much to do and lovely things to see
i popped out during my lunch break and bought a clear blue (2pack) so i think im going to use one tomorrow morning then fingers crossed be able to use the other on the weekend to show DP a positive.
im sure testing 1 day earlier isnt going to do any harm, u using the internet ones? - they are supposed to be super sensitive arnt they? if you are due towards the end of this week then fingers crossed you get a line.. ooo its exciting!

sodasoda hello! you have the exact same story as me, finished the pill in march and this is the second month trying... i tested this morning and got a faint positive, so now im keeping my fingers firmly crossed it stays!!!
do you know where abouts you are with your cycle? we can keep you company as we try to stop ourselves from going insane with symptom spotting Smile

sarah1391 good, I wasn't sure if you were feeling bit better after your "meh" evening. I know what you mean by feeling "meh" I am like that a fair bit at the moment too. When is it you can test?

hopeful yay! That's good. At least then you will get another read from another test but at least you have the internet ones too.

I didn't end up getting any internet ones - I could have a look on amazon and see if there are any with prime to get delivered tomorrow. I do have a pack of two supermarket ones which we got at the weekly shop last week at home though.

Its nice having a group of us all on similar times in cycle to be able to discuss it with and keep each other sane. Will def be helpful :)

bourbondreams if you got a pack of 2 then i would test tomorrow, then you got another for the weekend too .
the internet ones are good because they are so cheap, i didnt feel so bad testing early on them cos at least they are only a few pence compared to pounds that some store ones are, i bought 10 for a couple of pounds from amazon

Yeah I am just looking now, I think I will maybe test tomo like you say and order some of these in meantime so that I have them for in case it doesn't show tomorrow.

Yes will maybe do one tomorrow and one friday, as AF should be here by then and if not we are off to London for weekend and I will just have to be careful if its Neg.

All this talking about it makes me want to wee!

Thanks for welcome! Hopefulnewbie that's fab news! Fingers crossed indeed. Did you know when you were ovulating etc with coming off pill? I went mad and bought loads of cheap OPK and preg tests from Amazon!

I got a positive on OPK roughly in the middle of last month and then my first proper post pill AF came last week. I was disappointed as I had completely convinced myself it would happen straight away (idiot!) but also happy enough that everything seems to be working ok. I'd been on the pill for the last 10 years with no break before. So Im technically now on CD7 and am using my OPK sticks again. Any other tips gratefully received!

I'm also MOH at a wedding a week on Saturday! So at least I don't have any dress or drinking worries but I can imagine its tricky if you do.

Thanks bourbon i'm not as bad as i've been a few BFPs on here today (this thread and another) so giving me hope! AF is due on Monday but i'm considering testing Saturday, not sure if thats allowed? Fx for u if ur testing tomorrow!

sodasoda i just used an ovulation calendar this month , so put in my first day of last period and that i average a 28 day cycle then tried on the most fertile days it highlighted... i promised my DP that i wouldn't start obsessing about ttc this early so i drew the line at that method for this month (even though i have been obsessing in my head and on here)
i was on the pill for about 12 years with no real break but seems that my cycle went back to "normal" quickly.. although ive read that its completely normal for it to take months

Thanks soda :) yes i was on the pill for ages came off in Jan and didn't get anything til mid April, so this is my first month as well. So I am just seeing what happens, I haven't used any OPK but just going on a DTD often and see if it works, then if doesn't I will get some and check that it's all OK.

I think the earliest you could see something was 4 days before it, so I think Sat would technically be OK. As apparently that's when the hormones start to increase and so it can show up, from what I read while I couldn't sleep the other night anyway...

I am peeing like no tomorrow today, and I don't think I've had more drinks than normal... trying to not think its a sign!

If I was home I think I would have cracked and done a test now!

hopefulnewbie - thanks for advice. I've got an app on my phone too. I guess I'm quite interested in what my body is doing after all these years! Yes, I'd heard it took people a while to get back to regular so was a bit worried. I guess I might be all haywire this month etc but who knows. I too promised DP I wouldn't obsess.... Massive fail! I've been wanting to try for ages but just been waiting for him to be ready.

bourbon going to try and hold off with testing but might give it a go on saturday! Problem is i'm trusting my app for the day i ovulated so not really sure. Haha yeah today i've peed a lot too and had a headache for awhile. Hoping AF stays away but at the same time not sure i should be pinning all my hopes on the first month!

sarah1391 yeah I'm trusting my app. We dtd fairly frequently around the time it said was ovulation/fertile so am hopeful if keep doing that way it might work out. We shall see.

I think I might test tomo that's cd28 and I've had no headache or my normal spotting yet. So feel it's worth trying even if not sure on my official cycle length....

Yeah u should just do a test if u want to :) i dont get symptoms for AF so no idea whats going on with me lol

I decided not to test this am, I was having a bit of a cramp this morning, and then thought to myself that it was probably AF coming, but now I am at work part of me wishes I had cos I don't have any cramps now... but I think I will test tomo as thats when the app tells me to.

Morning bourbondreams I did test again this morning using clear blue and got another faint positive, the line was clear to see but it wasn’t really dark.. so im hoping by the weekend when I show my DP it will be darker… fingers firmly crossed and staying crossed!
You have so much willpower! I have had a few crampy feelings but nothing like the dull constant cramp I get with AF so maybe you have the same thing… are you gonna test tomorrow morning?
