TWW officially begins!!!!!

AF due 13th May and have no idea of how I'm going to wait that long!

This is our first cycle TTC baby #1 and since we have decided to try I have been very anxious. I just want this to happen, my close family have all had fertility issues and I've convinced myself I will too.

Just thought I'd start thus for support for all wanting some words if encouragement.

The witch has arrived. In a way it's good to enter a new cycle and be hopeful again but am not feeling it...
I'm sooooo frustrated! Blood result is back but they somehow ordered the bloody wrong test! Will have to wait another month for another test. How stupid is that? I'm so angry but know it's not going to get me anywhere as even if it's someone else's fault, in the end I will still have to wait.
Feels like the fertility world is against me.

bourbon thank you for the positivity about winter wedding. Think we might try to somehow get it planned quickly as I can't see how I will get pg anytime soon and this could cheer me up.

I went to a bbq in the weekend too. So many little ones there - wish I could have one soon...

elle nice to see you hear again. It's good to not get too obsessed during the tww though I miserably fail at this every month... if you can hold out to when ovia is suggesting that would be best for you.

Thanks for congrats! It was lovely - we were staying with my parents for the weekend as a school friend was getting married. He asked my dad (secretly) on Saturday, and then the day after the wedding he took me for a walk on a beach which is really special to me (lots of childhood family memories etc), got all mushy and dropped to one knee with an amazing ring! Was lovely bring able to celebrate with my parents so soon as we don't live that close. So happy and excited! Think we're just going to do something small in next couple of months and then a big party for all our friends and family early next year. Hooray!

gakay - so sorry witch has arrived. It really must feel everything is against you at the moment, especially as I know that dreaded due date is approaching. I hope you get the blood test results you want and that you can go from there. Personally I think a winter wedding will be lovely. The thing is with a summer wedding you're hoping so hard for nice weather and if you don't get it you're really gutted whereas with a winter weather you just don't havd that expectation / disappointment! Plus you have all those gorgeous fur accessory options and you can get really creative with favours / themes!

bourbon - hoping you hear about the job soon. Don't think there's any harm in giving the agency a ring tomorrow if you know they've finished interviewing. Keeping fx for BFP for you - I really wouldn't worry about no symptoms as yet.

morning ladies

So I decided to POAS today, as i thought why not - i have some internet cheapies... and its only 3 days til it says to test on my app... but it was a BFN so I think as I haven't felt any symptoms and it was a negative I am out this month. I didn't really get my ovulation twinges so I am unsure if I did even ovulate, as last month I know I did cos I get a crippling pain when it happens, this month, nothing... I might get some sticks to check. Also I think my body is still getting use to not being on the pill. My next AF will only be my 3rd since stopping the pill in Jan, so perhaps hormones are still not quite at the right levels? Does anyone know anything that I can take/do to help with this? I know I'm not technically out til AF but something just makes me think this isn't working this month...

Still no job news either....

gakay you are welcome - I always wanted a winter wedding at night in a castle with loads of candles when I was growing up that was what I wanted or to be somewhere hot! Over the years though, after meeting DH we had a change of ideas, and got married in Vegas :) it was brilliant.

soda that is so lovley, how romantic of him. And so nice that you could spend time with family to celebrate as well :)

I think you are right about summer weddings where you have the potential to get really disappointed by the weather.

bourbon so sorry for the bfn. Was hoping your feeling unwell yesterday could be a sign. But it may still be too early like your app says. Try and wait until the day b4 you test again. Some women find it takes a while for the body to get used to not being on the pill, especially if you cycles are not back to regular. I don't have any tips - got pg in my 1st cycle but it didn't last - guess hormones were not quite right then.

Wedding in Vegas sounds really exciting! Did you have many friends and family with you?

We've sort of set a date now. It's going to be in February which will give us more time to plan. Not quite sure what would happen on the ttc front. But I think the universe is telling me that it's going to be unlikely that I'll conceive naturally now. I have my progesterone blood test in 3 weeks then gynae/fertility appt in 4 weeks. They will probably send me away with lots of investigations and so will be a few months before any treatment starts. Will continue to try in the meantime of course but think it will be some time before we succeed.

Not thinking about anything at mo babywise as i got so hurt last time. Hoping bloody af doesnt arrive in 3 weeks time. Middle of my fertile time at mo. Soda sounds lovely! What was your dress like

I have a second interview next week! Need to do a presentation and things but not bothered by that. I'm sure will be fine. Also I think I'm the only one (certainly from the agency that sent me) who has been given the second interview. So it's mine for the taking! So fx! If I get job and don't have a BFP this month I might take a little time to settle into new job before we continue trying. I really want to make the most of it & potentially qualify for their mat leave whatever they offer. We shall see. Still have to get it yet.

gakay feb will be lovely! We nearly got married in February coz that's our anniversary. But too much going on in Vegas over the date. We had 25 in total for the wedding which was great :) then a massive party on return too

gakay - going to be greedy and hopefully have a summer wedding AND a winter wedding! Ha! Hoping to do it with parents and siblings in August and then have a big party in January / February. Priority is still babies and I don't want to be worrying about due dates clashing with weddings etc so even if I get pregnant this month I'd only be around 7 months along if we had the party in January. Great that you're looking at a February date. I've hardly thought about babies in the last few days - excellent distraction!

bourbon - fantastic news on the second interview! I'm really chuffed for you. Not sure there's anything you can do re hormones, I think everyone is different for how long it takes to get back to normal after coming off pill.

Yes, wedding planning is the best distraction. But I still cant plan properly yet as am still waiting for DP to propose properly.

London dont worry. I was told by quite a few of my friends with multiple children that the best is to dtd every other day.

Hi ladies, would you mind if I joined your thread?! I've been watching with interest as it sounds like you're all going through the same thoughts & worries as me!
We've been TTC since Feb. I came off the pill in November and only had 3 cycles since. My GP was useless and told me to come back in 2 years!!
Anyway, I've decided to do what I can myself so I'm starting acupuncture & am taking Angus castus (read loads of good things about it for regulating cycles and ovulation). I'm on CD3 now so I'm really hoping this month might be different. Fx!!

Oh, with regards to weddings - I got married this year in March. It was freezing but I wouldn't have changed it! We had outdoor heaters & fire pits. Photographers love it too as they get better photos on cloudy days! I bought a shawl but didn't wear it once - my dress kept me warm!

Let us know how you get on with acupuncture. I tried some Traditional Chinese herbal medicine before but it didn't work - though I didn't quite follow the instructions as it's so expensive!

Oh yes, outdoor heaters is a good idea. I want to start planning already but DP said I need to wait until he proposes properly and it's gonna be a couple of months...

I have started to get a headache, which feels like my normal hormonal one coming on... I am so tired, I think AF is def on her way, but I don't feel so disappointed as I thought, I think its because I have been thinking of it as a way out of work if I didn't get a job, but now I am close to a new job I feel a bit more relaxed too. We shall see.

It's Friday tomorrow, can't believe how quickly that's happened. What's everyone up to at the weekend? I'm off to the in laws for the weekend so it will be nice to celebrate the engagement with them too.

gakay - any inkling when DP might propose properly? any romantic weekends etc coming up? I'd say you can definitely start making enquiries if not planning exactly!!

soda DP said it will be in a couple of months. We are taking the last 2 weeks of July off for holiday - going to the lake district for the first week. Perhaps he will propose then? I don't know.

I've started gathering some ideas. Probably not doing things in the right order... I now know the style of wedding invitation cards I want.

Do you guys know if there are any useful wedding planning apps or website?
I still feel that I can't look at wedding mags or website until we are formally engaged

We're going to my parents tonight for a BBQ. Then tomorrow we have my stepdaughter so we're going swimming.

I had my acupuncture yesterday. It was so relaxing! The lady is lovely and seems positive that she can help regulate my cycles and ovulation... So fx.
I came home last night and DH said he's decided to stop drinking & eat healthier whilst we're TTC. Meant a lot to me, as I feel now it's not just me trying everything.

gakay I used Pinterest loads when planning my wedding. It's great for collating lots of different ideas. I wish I could do it all again!

soda I've been having some spotting and also my endometriosis pains are really bad - meant I hardly slept last night, so I am thinking it is here, but not properly yet.

Will likely be today, judging on previous. I was a little upset, but I suppose cos I am never fully expecting it cos of my circumstances I didn't feel too bad. But also with the job stuff going on its probably easier it hadn't happened this month as well.

gakay I second pinterest! I had so many pins and ideas from that, and you can literally have a board for each element if you want to. I am using it at the moment for bridesmaid dress ideas for my friends wedding. It is great for everything not just weddings though! I am a bit of an addict! haha

This weekend is a bit quieter for us (yay!) we have so many crazy ones happening over July/August... so its me getting my hair coloured in afternoon, followed by DH meeting me and us going for food (hoping to go to the place I need to do my presentation for my interview on) then seeing Jurassic World at the cinema! (SOOOOOOO excited!) then Sunday will be presentation work really. I want most of it finalised then, so I can review on Monday and ask a couple friends to look it over and then I can print it Tuesday for taking on Wednesday. We shall see. I am always a last minute person!!
I'm also trying to finalise bits for the hen weekend in a few weeks too! So that is fun... Actually my weekend sounds a lot more busy than I thought!

seliz glad the acupuncture was good. I really need to get myself book in for a massage again, I have a lady who comes to the house, they are sooo beneficial. But its finding the time.

seliz it's lovely that your DH is doing his part for the ttc. My OH is rather hopeless on that front. It's really hard for him as he relies entirely on his unhealthy habits to de-stress and work has been really stressful so he has been smoking and drinking quite a lot last week. He's stopping for 1 week from today though... it's a bit late as according to ovia my fertile period starts today. Oh well, better than nothing.

My weekend was rather uneventful. Wrote 1/2 of my essay (will complete today, hopefully) and enjoyed a BBQ on Saturday. I age so much that DP asked if I was sure I wasn't pg Then a whole day of boardgame yesterday which was great fun.

3.5 more weeks to fertility clinic appt. Can't wait!

Hi guys I'm new to this! Is there anyone out there in the dreaded wait? I had a 5 day fet last Wednesday - test day is this Sunday I feel I'm going to crack before then! Grrrr x

Happy Monday to all or is it.......what a stressful day I have had, work has been dreadful and still sat on tender hooks waiting to hear from my barrister about my clients hearing today! It started at 10am!

Well then i'm out this month, AF arrived 1 day late (on Sunday), was getting a BFN the day before which was 13/14dpo so I knew deep down I was out. So yesterday was a s**t day, but onward and upwards. I was thinking about starting to temp this month and was looking at thermometers on ebay when DH asked what I was looking at so I told him, he asked me not to get it as he does not want me to become fixated on getting pregnant!! TOO LATE FOR THAT. But I do know what he means so I am going to try and not chart/or plot this month, he has promised that we will DTD every other day for the whole of this month without complaint if I stop worrying about it, so I took that deal . I still plan to check in here though and see how you are all doing.....

Hi everyone, hope you all enjoyed your weekends. I had a lovely time celebrating with the future in laws!

gakay - we're pretty in sync with each other as my fertile period starts tomorrow according to ovia! However I think it's slightly wrong - I'm getting quite a bit of back ache today which makes me think I'll get my peak today or tomorrow. I'm a bit worried as DP on a big project at work so he's not going to be home til late all this week and he's not going to be a big fan of me pestering him to DTD when he gets in at midnight (nor am I going to want to!) I was really hoping I'd peak over the weekend when we're both relaxed!

elle - thanks, it's a really nice time! Sorry AF arrived. I think as soon as you start TTC it's hard to think about anything else! I was planning on getting pre-seed this month but in the excitement of wedding planning I forgot to order it! Definitely good to try and keep distracted but easier said than done.

elle am sorry that AF got you. It's great if you've agreed to DTD every other day. Temping can be stressful. My thermometer stopped working this cycle (after I kept dropping it in the morning when I try to find it half asleep). I've ordered a new one but it's not arrived yet.

soda so cool that we are almost in sync again. We are in a similar situation - not that my DP is working late but my hayfever is so bad that it's killing my mood to DTD. Missed my first fertile day y'day. Am going to take double the dose of antihistamine. Actually I hope I peak on Thursday d11, which is going to be a bit early. Am doing a 24h shift this Saturday :(
