TWW officially begins!!!!!

AF due 13th May and have no idea of how I'm going to wait that long!

This is our first cycle TTC baby #1 and since we have decided to try I have been very anxious. I just want this to happen, my close family have all had fertility issues and I've convinced myself I will too.

Just thought I'd start thus for support for all wanting some words if encouragement.

Still BFN for me. It's been 34 days (I think) since the first day of my last period-but I don't know my cycle length (I think they are long). I'm beginning to give up. I've no symptoms at all now.

sarah I'm sure there's nothing wrong, it just takes time to get back to regular after being on the pill for so long. Definitely recommend the OPK tests. That way you can cross check symptoms etc and they're reassuring to know you're ovulating.

I'm feeling frustrated today too. Was sure I'd get a positive OPK yesterday (lots of signs I recognised from last month like back ache) but I didnt. And today my OH has woken up and is not very well at all. I am trying to be sympathetic but I'm panicking a bit! I'm bridesmaid on Saturday so obviously want him to be well for that but all I can think about is whether or not he'll be up for dtd at the right time!! Been doing it every day for a week now but haven't ovulated yet according to OPK! Argh!

thanks soda. i think i might buy some, was wanting just to be all relaxed and see what happened but i've already started going crazy! oh no hope he feels better soon and is up for dtd! i'm still not really sure how OPKs work, do they tell you when you're actually ovulating or like you might be ovulating in a few days?

Yeah I thought I'd be relaxed too....

They apparently detect the presence of a hormone (LH) which causes you to ovulate. So basically when you get a positive test you'll ovulate in next 12-36 hours depending on when the stick first shows a positive if you see what I mean! Some people do the test more than once a day around the time but I just do it every evening at home. I think that's what we possibly did wrong last month - we dtd as soon as I got a positive and got all excited and then didn't do it again after that as we were knackered so didn't actually catch it! This time (OH permitting - ha!) planning on dtd when we get a line and then for 2 days after as well. Xx

ttc seems to make us crazy!

hmmm i think i should maybe try that then, they're on ebay for really cheap and can get pregnancy tests along with them too. just not sure how i'll feel if it shows i'm ovulating whilst OH is away for work lol but then at least i'll know i'm actually ovulating i suppose. fx it will work for you this time :)

I might get some also. Like you I planned to be chilled out about the whole thing and was just going to be casual about it-but it does get obsessive! I feel a bit off today-I think AF might be on it's way :(

Hello, can I join this conversation?

I've been having blood tests for prostererone (sorry wrong spelling!!) As since having DS1 I have had very irregular gaps with distance between cd31 and cd51!!!! Dr just calle and told me I had ovulated after my second blood test. So... I've worked out that means I ovulated sometime between 12/13th May and 18th/early am 19th May as that is gap between the two blood tests I had. That means that this cycle will def be a bit shorter. My test showing positive ovulation was on cd 30 btw (had one on cd 24 which was negative) so really hoping I get pregnant this month!!!! We did the deed I think 3 times in last week so I think I have a little chance just really want it!

Hi guys would you mind me joining. I was 13 weeks pregnant and lost the baby at the weekend at 9 weeks. Heartbroken tbh as c the baby at 9 weeks fit and healthy.

I had a d+c on sunday al went as well as could be. Bleeding slowing down and we are just going to keep on trying.

Stats I am 29 with two DD's 5 and 2 just had my 3rd miscarriage no idea of my cycle now.

blankets and soda - I got my tests on Amazon along with a load of pregnancy tests too. Super cheap. I genuinely thought id be quite relaxed about it all. How wrong I was! Got a positive OPK tonight so hope DP is up to the job next couple of days Grin very pleased it's hapoened now as got bridesmaid duties on Saturday so just want to think about that!

Ok something stranged has happened. I did a cheap amazon test and it came up with a faint positive. I have Since done a clear blue blue cross type test (not the digital) and also got a faint cross. How is this possible- I could be anything between 2-7/8 days past ovulation (I can't tell when I ovulated but it's between 12th-18tj may I think- what is going on here??! Could it be possible I am pregnant?

Haven't been posting for a while as have been getting over the arrival of AF and also starting the wedding planning. Hello to all the new-comers.

soda I know how you feel about OH being unwell when you want to dtd. That happened to me for a few cycles with him either being unwell or being away for work on my peak days, leading to almost a row every cycle. We had a chat/lesson on reproduction last cycle and he is now aware of when he is expected to be on duty in the bedroom...

keys I'm really sorry for your loss. It must have been really difficult. Yes, stay positive and keep trying. I'm on my 7th cycle post-2nd mc.

oneconfusedchick that's so exciting! Yes, you could well be pregnant. I think it's extremely rare to have false positive if you read the test within 10 minutes. And it is possible to get positive 7-8 days post ov, esp with IC which are super-sensitive.

Just got my high on OPK so should ov over the weekend! Am so excited!

I've done superdrug and clear blue digital this morning - both both positive - cb digital '1-2' weeks so know it is still early days but happy x

gakay - we can be tww buddies! Can I ask about your dtd plans?! So you got a positive OPK today but you're thinkjng you'll ovulate over weekend? I got a positive last night and it's still positive this morning. My ovia app is telling me that yesterday / today / tomorrow are peak and then not the weekend. I persuaded (!) OH to dtd last night and then was hoping to tonight and tomorrow am but then it's a bit trickier as I'm away on Friday night being bridesmaid on the Saturday so we'd next get another chance on sat night post wedding. Do you think that's ok or am I missing key time?

oneconfusedchick yay congrats! That's great news :) DH and I have said that is what we are going to do this month, and see what happens. Will be month 2 of trying soon. But seriously wasn't expecting to happen month 1.

sarah1391 have you had any luck with POAS? Since coming off my pill I've had a CD77 and a CD29 now, that's from Jan... after my what would have been pill free bleed. It is so annoying not knowing, I am not sure that my next will def be around the 30 days so will just see how it goes. Didn't expect it would take so long for my first AF... just no idea how hormones will go back after coming off and it does take a while.

So apparently I have 5 days until I am in my fertile window, I was thinking of getting OPKS or a BBT but I have decided that I am going to have a few months of the DTD every other day and then if doesn't happen I will try and track, I think if I start to use them both I will just get more anxious about it all. And I am trying to not do that, which as I am sure we all know is easier said than done!

I've also decided I can't put off my job hunting anymore and am going to put much more effort into that...

Oh and I completely changed my hair colour yesterday.... so who knows if that will have any luck, but I've decided to focus on me for a change and not worry about what might happen and could happen and focus on what I can control :)

Yeh to be honest I have been trying since October but if I am completely honest it's only been really two-3 months of 'trying' if you get what I mean! It seems to have made the difference though! Before I would go a week without DTD sometimes but still expected to get pregnant easy not sure why!

soda Yay to tww buddies! I'm using dual hormone OPKs which give highs and peaks. I got high today which means I may get my peak days over the weekend. I think your timing is perfect. Have you been DTD over the last few days? We've been making the mistake (i blame it on OH being lazy) of only DTD on peak days which might have reduced the chance. My ovia is predicting my fertile week starting from Sunday but not sure how accurate that is as only started using ovia last cycle.

gakay According to my ovia I am two days behind you :) which is kinda good as have the inlaws up this weekend which is always a mood killer! lol....

I find myself feeling excited this month more so than last month anyway, last month I didn't really expect to be trying but this time is the time we were planning for a Feb onwards baby... rather than a Jan one... who knows!

Hi.might have too much information but can i ask a little question. dh and i are ttc at moment. Got 1/2 day of very light pink mucas with one red dot on toilet paper only one week prior to af. Did wonder if start of af but Nothing since. No cramps. No pain or aches in breast. No triedness. Nothing. Im counting down time to af now so way too early to test. Why is time so slow. However im on iron tables. Normally my poo is black. This month its brown. Been on tablets for years and first time its been like that. Do you need more iron and could this be a sign. Im not a spring chicken and never had children so all this ttc is new to me. Taken ages to get to this stage. Knowing me its nothing but can i be hopeful....

gakay - what tests do you have? I've just got test strip things which just tell you that your hormone levels are high so you'll ovulate in next day or so. I've been putting things into ovia and based on my positive test yesterday and today my fertile window is from last Sunday until tomorrow. Very pleased as dtd every day of that window so far!! I think today may be a struggle for us both though! Whoever said this baby making business is easy?!

bourbon - I'm pretty excited about this month too! Like you it's only my second month Ttc and wasn't expecting anything last month but feeling really hopeful this time! Fingers crossed for feb babies!

londonrach - welcome! When are you due AF? Have you come off pill recently? I did and I had a bit of spotting last month as you described. Or depending on how far you are in cycle it could be an inplantation bleed! But I'm certainly no expert! And absolutely no idea on the poo!!
