Mustbemad, welcome.....ooh it's nice to have some older ladies here again Grin

Victoria, I'm sorry you're so poorly. It's not something I suffer with but I would suggest drinking plenty of water. Hope you're better soonThanks

loopylou1984 · 21/01/2015 20:29

Oh Victoria - poor thing, I've had a few and they're so horrible. Drink as much water as you can. You really should see a dr though, you will feel better so quickly with some anti biotics. Can you call the out of hours? Xx

Bovnydazzler · 21/01/2015 20:31

Hi purdey thanks for the indignation on my behalf! Yes I'm on clomid, to be honest I think I've been pretty lucky so far with GP, when I went to see her (when I was about 80 days into the humongous cycle) she referred me straight away and she was as shocked as me that the waiting time for a Gyno appointment was only 10 days! I have had the day 3 and day '21' tests (done weekly after 21 too due to long cycles), also the HSG and DH had SA. Not had any scan for PCOS as I didn't have symptoms other than long irregular cycles. I had to request the thyroid test to have it done. I was monitored on 1st cycle clomid, I ovulated and had 31 day cycle :) :) although not pregnant. So really I guess I still don't know the underlying cause of weird cycles!! I guess from the gynocologists point of view she thought didn't particularly matter as probably end up on clod anyway. Just hope it isn't a simple but important deficiency somewhere that clomid doesn't sort! I am very very lucky to have my DS!

frolic sorry you are feeling so grotty, doesn't matter that you waited so patiently for this little bean it's still miserable feeling so ill, hope it improves soon.

mustbemad71 · 21/01/2015 20:32

Victoria - have a bath and as grim as it sounds - feel free to wee when in there. Take paracetamol. Drink masses of water too to flush out the infection. The perils of masses of shagging when TTC! Poor you.

mustbemad71 · 21/01/2015 20:34

Waves at Spinning! Thanks for the welcome.

pulpi · 21/01/2015 20:35

One more day and then I can test. Still no AF, but my chest has erupted in spots like I'm 15 again, and Mount Everest has pitched up on my chin. All good signs, I think.

RoseBud2015 · 21/01/2015 20:36

Hi again ladies!

Congrats Mum on your BPF and thanks for the updated stats list. I think my AF is due this Saturday (Had severe ov pains and a pos opk on Mon 12th)....... and STILL on cycle 1!!!! cd62 and I'm getting fecking angry Angry !!!!!

Pink (7dpo) and then brown (8dpo) spotting is keeping me going (If ov in fact happened Confused) I'm on 9dpo today and spotting has disappeared Hmm Sore nipples have disappeared too Hmm. Who knows what's going on!

Blimey congrats on your BFP!! Your loooooong cycle followed by a BFP is also giving me some hope!

Purdey- The advice you have given Emma has made me think, I need to get onto my doc too. Last cycle (before we started ttc) was 57 days, and now this one is at cd62 Angry. I was diagnosed with PCOS 15 years ago and was told I would NEVER conceive Sad.... thanks doc! I'm going to make sure I prove them wrong..... just might take me a few years at this rate Sad.

Nomio230 · 21/01/2015 20:45

Rosebud, your Dr sounds about as good as mine! We are moving soon & I can't wait to change surgeries.

Mustbemad, welcome. This is a great place to ask questions, rant & celebrate bfp's!

Dr Purdey, what days do you take your Clomid? I was prescribed 2-6, but am wondering if changing the days might help with a bfp.

Mumwannabe82 · 21/01/2015 20:52

Thanks ever so much Rosebud, 62 day cycle???? I'm not surprised you are getting angry! have you just come off the pill or something like that?
The spotting at 7/8dpo is very promising so good luck for Saturday xxx

RoseBud2015 · 21/01/2015 21:02

Mum I hope so, but I'm not counting my chickens! Came off the pill in Sept. No AF until Nov. Then no AF since.... Joy!

This thread keeps me sane though- I think it's incredible how supportive everyone is and how much I'm learning.

Some of you ladies are missing your vocation in secondary school sex education teaching Wink I think it's due an overhaul Grin

Nevlet · 21/01/2015 21:04

Due 28th purdey

Ok my stats... Nevlet, 24, TTC#1 cycle 3, BFP/AF due 28/1/15

loopylou1984 · 21/01/2015 21:09

Pulpi - my chest is the same! Very unusual for me, but only 3/4dpo so I'm sure it can't be a symptom!
Fingers crossed yours are though! Good luck for tomorrow ??

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 21:09

spinning, thanks for indulging me by answering such personal questions. I really appreciate it and I'm also grateful for the reminder to believe it can happen for us. I think perhaps because I have yet to conceive and deliver a baby using my own eggs, I lack faith that I'm capable of doing it naturally. We can never afford to do donor IVF again.

If your hubby suffers from rumpy stage fright then have sex on the night of your opk and the day after. Don't bother with the run-up. If your fella is old like us his sperm probably doesn't stay alive for more than a couple of days anyway.

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 21:13

Ah Bovney I can see my outrage was misplaced Blush You are already as clued-up as you could be and it's great that Clomid worked. How many cycles will your cons prescribe it? Surely your baby is just waiting...Smile

pulpi · 21/01/2015 21:19

Thanks sammylou, good luck to you too!

xBlueberry88x · 21/01/2015 21:21

Nomio I would stick with 2-6 thats what i had and got bfp it can take a few cycles but if its not working they will up the dose

vicky sorry your feeling ill lovely drink lots of water and have a nice bath!

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 21:21

Rosebud, sweetheart, get thee to the GP and tell him you suspect you are not ovulating and you want to see someone about it. Long cycles are telling you something is up. PCOS is so very treatable and Clomid is usually all that's needed to force the ovary to release an egg. Once they get you ovulating your chances of conceiving are great. Don't put up with these cycles. There is lots of help out there and all you need yo do is shout ask.

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 21:22

nomio I'm days 2-6. Keep the faith.

Blimeygirl · 21/01/2015 21:31

Oh dear ladies I was silly and did a cheapy test tonight and no line. Is this just as it's too diluted at this time of day?! No more bleeding that the same level of spotting that has been here for a week?!! Argh why did I test?!

MissMrsMummy · 21/01/2015 21:32

Ooh thank you mum for taking over the stats! Great job.

MissMrsMummy · 21/01/2015 21:34

blimey cheapies are less sensitive and the hormone is stronger in the morning as it's built up overnight x

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 21:36

mustbemad thank you for such encouraging words Thanks

blimey, oh no! How many dpo are you now? Despite the time of day there should still be a line.

Blimeygirl · 21/01/2015 21:48

Because of my screwed up cycle I don't know for definite but if I guessed would say I ovd on the 8th ish (no symptoms just on guessing dates)

Nomio230 · 21/01/2015 21:50

Blimey, cheapies are nowhere near as sensitive. Do you have any more frer's or cb's you could use tomorrow morning? Don't lose hope yet.

spinningirl10 · 21/01/2015 22:00

Thanks purdey, we'll give that a go next cycleGrin

How long have you been taking clomid? I've seen a few ladies here have success with that. I took soy isoflavones for a couple of cycles but second time I ov'd super early and decided not to take them again, I just wanted to use them to improve egg quality.
