Am so happy for you both! Grin Fantastic news!

TerrysNo3 · 21/01/2015 12:02

Hi all

Just wanted to update you that I had an early scan today to check the pregnancy was in the right place after an ectopic last july. We saw a lovely little blob in my womb (yay!!) that was measuring 5wks and 6 days (4.6mm). That means we have conceived a christmas day baby :)

Cariad I asked him to check on which ovary the egg was released from and he said it was the right, he said although it can happen its very unusual to conceive from the "lost" side.

Good luck to everyone TTC, don't give up hope as it WILL happen! I will be checking up on you all anyway :)

loopylou1984 · 21/01/2015 12:06

Emma - I have used the cb advanced opk and found that I get 2 peak days then fertility friend confirms ov as the day after the 2nd peak. I was under the impression that your surge happens 1-2 days before ov, but I could be mistaken.
Temping is def the way forward. X

spinningirl10 · 21/01/2015 12:14

Oh Terry that's fantastic news and extra special being conceived on Xmas dayGrin thanks for the update. Hope you're keeping well.

Nomio230 · 21/01/2015 12:44

Yay, congratulations to lingua & Jenni!

Blimey, you must be so relieved to finally have an answer. I am so pleased for you.

Inspired by all the good news, I poas earlier. Bfn. Hmm I think I will go & introduce myself on the Feb bus, but will still be lurking here as well. This is such a friendly, happy place, I don't want to leave.

I haven't had a chance to catch up on everything, but I just had to pop on to congratulate Genni and Terrys - such fabulous news.

Genni - as my fellow "all my friends have BFPs and I don't" boot-camper you have no idea how delighted I am for you. Here's to a healthy, sticky bean and a very happy and healthy nine months. Thank you for keeping me sane over the past few months. Please pop in from time to time to keep us updated.

Terrys - I am already dreading that first scan already and I don't even have a BFP. I am so pleased it all went well. Loving the Christmas Day conception. Thank you for asking about the side you ov'd from - definitely interesting to know. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy - please pop in from time to time to keep us updated.

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 13:54

Terry, how marvellous! Many congratulations Thanks May I confirm, then, that you ovulated from the ovary attached to the 'none' tube and your good tube moved across to catch the egg? That gives me so much hope Smile except your doc said that's unusual? Sad

Emma, may I suggest something without causing alarm? With cycles that long and erratic I would suggest you are not ovulating and therefore your hypothyroidism medication is not at the right dose. This article will explain how hypothyroidism affects fertility. It makes clear that any medication should shorten your cycles by re-setting ovulation - and I don't believe yours has done its job. I honestly don't believe any women should have to put up with stupidly-long cycles. You need reassurance that you are ovulating. Your CB monitoring is a great start, but please, if you discover you are not getting a sustained rise in temps, go to your GP and tell him you know for a fact you are not ovulating. I would, as a start, get your TSH and prolactin levels checked.

MarysPrayer · 21/01/2015 14:15

Loving all these well earned pfbs Smile although it's making my tww seem feel endless. Pathetic confession: I poas least night. At 8dpo. BlushFeeling like a total muppet. Someone one hand me a grip.

MarysPrayer · 21/01/2015 14:16

And now I can't even type properly!

MarysPrayer · 21/01/2015 14:18

Oh and thank you Purdey, for keeping our spirits up. I wasted at least five minutes scrolling back to look for that 'pubes' picture. Made me chuckle.

TerrysNo3 · 21/01/2015 14:48

no sorry Purdey I lost my left tube and I ovulated this time from my right tube. He said that conceiving from the side where there is no tube is unusual, but not impossible!!

Thanks for the kind messages all Smile

Nervous83 · 21/01/2015 14:51

Marys Sending you a Big Fat Poke as requested. Although I do agree the TWW is definitely testing every bit of will power that I have! I am 7dpo so right behind you, I can offer to hold your hands behind your back if you like...but it might not be so comfortable as we've still got a few days to go realistically don't we. Hmm

Congrats to Genni!!!!! So happy for you!!! 14 has got to be a lucky number now Smile

Also to Blimey Grin and Lingua Good line!! Grin

Loved the puppy post last night!! Gorgeous animals...thank god for furbabies at this time.

So almost ready for the big move tomorrow......DH ends up in hospital today for a sprained ankle and can't walk..... they told him to delegate the carrying.....guess that falls on me. GREAT!

Hope everyone has been keeping up the warm beverages Brew

Nervous83 · 21/01/2015 14:52

forgot to add..... Terrys..... Christmas Day...how special is that! Amazing Grin

emma85x · 21/01/2015 15:03

purdey thank you so much. I know my TSH levels are fine (had a blood test 6 weeks ago) but not sure if they checked prolactin levels. I will check. Called GP to book an appointment - next available slot = 27th Feb sighs. Thank you so much again. Your advice is much appreciated. Flowers

spinningirl10 · 21/01/2015 15:19

The blood test showed i ovulated. The other blood they're testing is for AMH and it could take 3 weeks to comeback. She took 3 tubes of blood, don't know what the other was for!

MarysPrayer · 21/01/2015 15:23

Thank you nervous !

gennibugs · 21/01/2015 15:34

Thanks everyone.

That's great news Terry.

cariad thank you for your message. I remember our chat about being left out so well. I'm keeping everything crossed that Feb is your month. I can't wait for you to get your bfp.

spinning great news you ovulated! must be a relief. I remember my AMH results took a while to come back. Perhaps she was doing a full blood count too. I remember having that done as one of my initial tests.

Mumwannabe82 · 21/01/2015 15:37

That's amazing news spinning, just knowing that you ovulated gives you a sense of achievement doesn't it!! fx crossed the other results follow suit in positivity!!! xxxx

victoria401 · 21/01/2015 15:38

Yay for ov spinning! I was told that the lab only did the AMH test one day a fortnight so that's why it takes much longer than the rest! They are prob testing all your other hormones too hence all the blood! They don't mean a lot on day 21, day 3 hormones mean more for fertility.

Frolicacid · 21/01/2015 15:58

Yay for good blood tests spinning!

Fab news as well on your BFP genni. Huge congratulations.

And more great news about your scan terrys. You must be so relieved.

I've just been signed off work with HG, so will have plenty of time to wave Pom poms and stalk the rest of the bus!

Beansprout30 · 21/01/2015 16:00

This might be a daft question which I should probably know the answer to but if I am ovulating and dh swimmers are good, what else could be delaying a bfp if we are timing sex at the correct times? ?

I know each cycle there is only a slim chance of a bfp anyway, is it 25% chance of conception? I just find myself getting paranoid that after 6 cycles of timing everything well, there is no hint of a bfp ?

Linguaphile · 21/01/2015 16:13

Oh Frolic, HG... that must be horrible. :( I was very sick up through about 22 weeks last time and basically just wanted to die. I hope it passes quickly. :(

spinningirl10 · 21/01/2015 16:24

Thanks Genni and Victoria, I'm sure I need to have day 3 bloods done as well but the nurse at the docs took both envelopes! I'll try and phone the fertility clinic tomorrow and check as I'd need them doing early next week I think.

Frolic, you sound really poorly. Can you take anything for it?
