loopylou1984 · 21/01/2015 09:16

Purdey - it's called 'all aboard the February bus'
I'm kind of straddling both busses as af due 31st/1st, thinking more likely the 1st now based on ov date. X

Spotti · 21/01/2015 09:19

Emma, your link doesn't work as it doesn't direct us to your chart. You need to go to 'sharing' at the top right hand side of the page and copy and paste one of the links to your chart.

Dizzy, a bus with no buzz? Grin

Genni, forgive me, but please will you tell us more about what happened this month in terms of symptoms and tests?

Mum, no AF (due Saturday) but check out this chart of doom.... Sad

59sound · 21/01/2015 09:56

I'm sorry about your temp drop purdey. Keeping fx for you in the meantime

Linguaphile · 21/01/2015 09:58

Brilliant news Blimey and Genni!

I've been told by all the doctors and twins experts that it's fraternal that are hereditary as it's a hyperovulation gene that is passed down on the mother's side (although age, weight, etc can also predispose you as your body starts to do wonky things). I've also read that while there is new research looking into identicals (something about a potential chemical in the sperm that causes the split, if memory serves me correctly), at the moment identicals are generally considered pot-luck as nobody is quite sure what makes the fertilised egg split... (www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/2550.aspx?CategoryID=54)

In any case, we're not sure with ours as they had two sacs and two placentas (normally non-identical), but they have the same blood type, hair colour, eye colour, build, etc,. There is a possibility that they are identical--the fertilised egg can sometimes split early enough along to result intwo sacs and placentas as opposed to a single placenta or sac. Our doctor says that the only way for us to know for sure is to have a zygosity test. Those cost about £100, which feels a lot just to satisfy curiosity!

Sorry, random lecture on twin biology!

emma85x · 21/01/2015 10:01

purdey Thank you so much for letting me know. I really appreciate it. I've only been temping for a couple of weeks but still! www.fertilityfriend.com/home/572324. It's looking likely that I'll join the Feb bus with you purdey #silverlining!

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 10:02

Wow! I stand corrected, Linguaphile, thank you. My mum is a fraternal twin Shock

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 10:06

Emma, from your CBFM peaks I would've expected you to ovulate on CD28 but it looks as though you haven't. How long are your cycles normally? Have you noticed any fertile cervical mucus? Is, perhaps, your CBFM sending out erroneous information because you didn't start peeing from CD1?

Linguaphile · 21/01/2015 10:14

Woo hoo Purdey, maybe you'll get more than you bargained for, being awash in spermz and all! Sorry about the temp drop, by the way. :(

Being doubtful of my squinter from yesterday morning, I took an FRER last night just to make sure. No questions there! Shock

Jan bus take 3!!!!!
gennibugs · 21/01/2015 10:18

Thank you for all for your good wishes. I can't believe it right now!

blimey congratulations to you too! I forgot to say in all my panic Smile

I can do a fuller stats update later and what we did this month that was different to previous if people would like but yes I did a sainsburys own brand yesterday and 2 ics and got bfns. today is 16 dpo, and I got my bfp. still nothing on the ics though interestingly enough. symptoms wise I've felt EXACTLY like I do pre AF - cramps since Thursday, sore boobs, feeling hot. The only difference is I've not had my pre AF migraine and last night and today ive had a bad tummy upset and felt very very sick. I've also been having cheeky naps each afternoon when working from home but put that down to training intensively at the gym 6 days a week post xmas.Smile

spinning am off to read your message and good luck for your test results!

gennibugs · 21/01/2015 10:18

congrats on the frer lingua! Smile

victoria401 · 21/01/2015 10:21

Wow lots of good news this morning!
genni! Amazing, congrats hun!

Blimey great that you're out of limbo, you must be thrilled.

Scared to go to the Feb bus! Got a uti today, first for years. Feel ill, urgh. Asked dh if he can get me some sachets. Its a lot to ask but I really can't get to a pharmacy from my work :-(

xBlueberry88x · 21/01/2015 10:40

Genni my lovely how wonderful I knew this would be the month im so excited for you!!!!

emma85x · 21/01/2015 10:48

Hey purdey thanks for your advice. You're like a guru on here! I'm using CB advanced digital ovulation tests not the BCFM so I had 2 blank faces (not fertile) 8 flashing smileys which started on CD 18 (high fertility) and then 2 solid smileys (peak fertility) (CD 25/26). AF due on Monday (CD40). I know it's only my first month temping.... now addicted and will continue to temp daily! Although it's ever so disheartening. It's like getting a BFN every day. Bearing all that in mind do you still think that I might not have ovulated? thank you so much for your advice

Congratulations again to everyone on your BFPs! Flowers

xBlueberry88x · 21/01/2015 10:58

Genni pmed you!

Beansprout30 · 21/01/2015 11:05

Congratulations genni pleased to hear of a bfp even though you have a strict gym regime, ive laid off a lot of running as I was worries it might affect fertility but clearly not!

dojo123 · 21/01/2015 11:08

Congratulations on all the BFPs this morning it's been fab reading all your successes. Grin

Feeling properly meh this morning with this Laryngitis and nasty cold at the mo. Don't know if I feeling a bit down because of the cold but I am now pretty convinced we haven't conceived this month. No concrete evidence, no AF yet, just have a 'feeling'.
Have tried to not symptom spot but failing. Since the small (TMI) mucus discharge on Monday evening I haven't had anything. Thought I was getting a lot of spots on my face but they seem to have all cleared up (I know I really shouldn't be moaning about that! and normally I would be delighted! ecstatic even). I am CD20, according to Ovia and Clue 8dpo. I think it is just this 2WW it can make women go potty!

spinningirl10 · 21/01/2015 11:18

Genni,

Yes please, full stats when you have time Grin

Can't get my blood results until 2!

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 11:21

Emma, why are your cycles this long? Are they always 40-days long? I have never used a CB advanced ov tests so maybe someone will come along and advise better than me, however, if they are anything like the CBFM then the two peak readings indicate ovulation (I believe the second peak is ov day itself). In any case, your temps would shoot up the day after ov (CD29 in your case) and remain elevated to signal ov took place. I don't see that sustained rise on your chart at all, I'm sorry.

PurdeyBirdie · 21/01/2015 11:24

Genni, I am 'wow!' at your bfp after a bfn at 15dpo! Fantastico! I wonder if this is how late implantation works?

emma85x · 21/01/2015 11:37

Thanks purdey My cycles were much much longer. I'm now on my second month of Acupuncture which has really helped to shorten them. Looks like I'll be checking back in with him next month Sad Will try to remain positive. I have hypothyroidism too but I'm on levothyroxine so that shouldn't make too much of a difference. #confused. Thank you so much again, I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. How are you getting on??

genni Congrats again and looking forward to seeing your stats!
