sparkly I am so sorry to read your post. take care of yourself. Sad

sorry to all those AF got. pikz so sorry it was a chemical.

spinning if you are around - how are you?

AF is now a couple of days late for me. I'm very crampy and bloated so think she will arrive today. trying not to get my hopes up, I did have a 31 day cycle last year and am wondering if maybe all the supplements I'm taking have delayed things slightly. I know I'll be on crotch watch all day!!

PurdeyBirdie · 19/01/2015 08:55

Sparkly, you will get your baby. Just hold on tight, my love. Take time to deal with the crushing disappointment and have a good cry. Crying is essential ThanksThanksCake

Hi Ladies,

I need a bit of advice of at all possible as I am currently driving myself bananas reading things up online!

My last AF began on 07 December and as I was away working and with Christmas and everything I didn't do my temps as normal.

Cut to last weekend and I begun to start having to use the loo a lot more often than normal, then on Tuesday and Wednesday last week both evenings I got a bit of sort of spotting (all brown and a bit mucus/dischargy ), but I have never had anything like this before ever. This stopped by Thursday and since then the having to pee often hasn't stopped and I have had sore boobs (but not pre-AF sore) and from Saturday my areola has become a bit darker and more pronounced. Have had headaches etc. as well.

Today should be the day AF shows (I have long cycles and this is the average day), I tested but got a BFN - any advice?!?

PurdeyBirdie · 19/01/2015 09:04

I wouldn't necessarily join the ttc after miscarriage forum. Please forgive me, but 1-in-4 women suffer early loss with their first pregnancy and I wouldn't want you to get caught up in the angst of women who have legitimate fertility problems. I hope that makes sense Thanks

Cariad2014 · 19/01/2015 09:04

Sparkly - so sorry to hear of your loss. I had a cp at 4+5 last June. Not sure what you've experienced so far, but mine was similar to a very heavy, painful AF. We started ttc immediately (as there's no medical reason not to), and my wtf cycle (i.e. the cycle after my loss) was only 2 days longer than normal, although I know some people have much longer wtf cycles.

Be kind to yourself my lovely. Flowers Sending enormous un-mumsnetty hugs your way. I really hope you get your sticky bean very soon.

Sorry to hear AF arrived Victoria - promise me that you'll occasionally pop onto the buses to keep us updated - you'll be missed otherwise, and I'd love to hear all about your BFP which WILL happen, I just know it.

Come join us on the February bus Blue.

Cariad2014 · 19/01/2015 09:24

Genni - I was wondering how things were going at your end. I really hope a delayed AF is a good sign. When are you planning to POAS?

Waves at Spinning - hope the 2ww isn't going too slowly.

KnitFastDieWarm · 19/01/2015 09:25

Oh sparkly that is crap Sad much love to all ladies who've been caught out by AF this month, it's such an emotional rollercoaster isn't it?

I have a TMI question for the experienced among you - I'm due AF in 6 days so can;t test yet and added to my previous dizziness and sore boobs, I now have increased, erm, discharge. Like, pantyliner-requiring, which is very unusual for me. It's wateryish with the odd creamy bit (sorry, bleaugh). It's not itchy, doesn't smell - there's just LOADS of it!

Is this a pregnancy thing? I'm a noob!

gennibugs · 19/01/2015 09:35

hi cariad how are you? if no AF I will poas tomorrow as that will be the longest cycle I've had. I feel so crampy and bloated that I can't imagine AF not turning up today though! Smile

victoria401 · 19/01/2015 09:58

sammylou I actually lurk on the 10months and staying positive thread, which is still in the conception board! I started an iui thread on the infertility board which I'm now having to drop out of. You're right there's not many places to hang over there as its mostly ivf and I've not got that far yet.

I don't want to leave the buses cariad but as you can imagine its hard seeing all the bfp's when I have a tiny (but not impossible) chance of falling naturally myself. 2% of hubby's sperm are NOT duff after all, and it only needs one! 2% is still 100's of 1000's of good ones. The Dr thinks it still could happen but could take many years and I'm still 'young'. Hmm 35 in 3 months, I feel anything but young!

Keeping an eye on this space genni my fellow long timer x

spinningirl10 · 19/01/2015 10:01

Morning Grin

Sparkly, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Sending big hugs to youThanks

Cariad and Genni, hello, yes I'm still here. Dp took me away for the night to a lovely country hotel. Eaten too much! I'm finding it hard to keep up on here!
Genni I'm super excited that af is late, I have everything crossed that she stays away.

PurdeyBirdie · 19/01/2015 10:07

dojo a 19-day cycle is really short! Have you seen a gp?

miss 1dpo is a good day for sex as you may have ov'd only 12hrs previously.

PurdeyBirdie · 19/01/2015 10:18

knit the amount and type of cm you describe is absolutely a symptom of pregnancy

Victoria I feel exactly the same as you seeing all these easy-peasy bfps. It's thoroughly depressing if we dwell on it. I have only a 1% chance of pregnancy due to my age (and that doesn't even take into account my single working tube Hmm Because I already have my IVF tot I feel the pressure is off but I know the relentless desperation whilst waiting for your first baby. I've enjoyed knowing you and wish you masses of luck Thanks

Nervous83 · 19/01/2015 10:25

Oh shitty shitty shit shit Monday Sad Balls to the witch for so many of you

And Sparkly.... Flowers hope you managed to get some sleep and you are getting a big fat hug right now. Definitely take the positives from this.

I didn't manage to log in yesterday as packing, but wanted to add to the compliments for Purdey ...we love your help and humour. We're all rooting for you, hope the syringes do the trick Grin

Pikz Flowers

Homeboddy49 yep, I'm 5DPO today...isn't Friday a bit too early? This is my first month and totally new to this..... don't want to start a habit early -who am I kidding-? Sorry ladies TMI but I have been seeing glue like cm for the last 3 days.

KnitFastDieWarm · 19/01/2015 10:29

Purdey you are a legend Grin I've not told any of my mum friends that we're TTC so it's fab to have big sisterly advice from someone who's been there and done that.

waddles off to change pantyliner for 5 billionth time in the last 24 hours Blush

PurdeyBirdie · 19/01/2015 10:33

Nervous, How lovely of you to say that Thanks

I am gutted to have had a nosedive in temps this morning...to below the coverline! My period is only due next Saturday! Check out my dastardly chart Sad

Jan bus take 3!!!!!
PurdeyBirdie · 19/01/2015 10:36

Oh...and I vote we keep 'vagina' as a word for the tunnel of love.

PurdeyBirdie · 19/01/2015 10:38

Apologies for forgetting who asked about a 'coverline'. This is simply a visual aid when charting to enable you to better see the biphasic nature of your chart. If you look at mine in the above picture it is the horizontal red line cutting through my temps. In and of itself it doesn't hold any value other than making in easier for you to see whether ov has taken place.

dojo123 · 19/01/2015 11:02

purdey appreciate the slap. I think the 19 day cycle was just a blip, mainly stress induced, my dad went in for a heart valve replacement and bypass in December and my period started immediately after I had seen him in hospital and saw he was on his way to fully recovering. I'm usually around the 26-28 day mark with one 23 day in September after getting flu.
Think I have laryngitis at the mo so just feeling low and crappy. Sad
