Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

WigglyBraddins · 14/10/2014 13:21

Chat! That is a MFBFP!!! Wooooo hoooooo! Now FX and GX for a sticky bean.

La You can always share thoughts like yours on here. TTC is tough and mc makes it even tougher. Everyone else who has posted so far is right, you're grieving for what could have been and in some ways that's even harder because you don't feel like you should be doing it and because very few people know how to support you. This is so much easier said than done (and comes under the heading "do as I say, not as I do") but try not to put pressure on yourself. You will get pregnant again and it will be a happy healthy pregnancy.

I was wide awake from 3am-5.30am this morning fretting about everything. Grrrrrr. What makes it even worse is that I get uptight because I know that I should be as relaxed as possible and reducing stress as much as possible. So annoying. Also MIL is making me cross, which doesn't help!

WigglyBraddins · 14/10/2014 13:22

Oh and bloods...Got a doc's appointment a week on Monday to go through the results. They're looking to see if there's a hormone imbalance that caused my mcs. So we'll go from there.

jellypi3 · 14/10/2014 13:27

Thanks for the congrats everyone :) We are both super excited!

He kind of fluffed the proposal, because I came back from spain, I got in before him and was slumped out on the sofa. He got in from work and we said hi etc. I was feeding the cats and he tapped me on the shoulder and presented me with a ring on one knee :D He's not a romantic my DF!

Not sure what to do for the wedding, big or little, how many people etc!

Pisghetti · 14/10/2014 13:31

Congrats Chat!

glidingpig · 14/10/2014 14:18

Disappeared for a few days, come back and I don't know where to start catching up - engagements and BFPs and traffic jam wee ninjas!

La it is not daft at all. It is a real loss and you're grieving. Of course you feel shit some days, of course you should post about it for us to listen, it's what this place is for.

Khbutterfly11 · 14/10/2014 14:42

afternoon viroids,

I introduced myself last week and haven't posted since, but i have been trying to keep up with everyone and want to send congrats to jelly and to chat (that's a beautiful line!)

also thanks to non that story so brightened this shitty weather of a day up!!

la i couldn't not say anything even though so many have said it - it is a real loss and i can't imagine how much it sucks to be away from DH at this time. don't feel bad for posting on here. i know i'm new but its what we're here for - the good and the bad!

feeling pretty shitty today, had pretty much 3 weeks of malcolm the migraine visiting followed by me practically rolly pollying around my garden friday morning into the garden wall. i have a cracking bump on my head and a right bruiser of a black eye! was supposed be at the docs 11am this morning to discuss Malcolm and my mum mentioned last night that my increased weight and hairy chin (oh yes my dears lovely long black hairs growing out of my chin!!!) could be a hormone imbalance or something like PCOS so was gonna mention it to him....

But since my acrobatic stunt Friday (which i'm mortified no one was there to film relieved no one saw) my insomnia has returned and it was 5am before i drifted this morning only to be awoken by the postman knocking (I swear that man think i have issues, i can't remember the last time he saw me actually dressed!!!) and i missed it. Can't get in till friday now so all i can think about is if i have PCOS on top of only one tube TTC is pointless :-/

I know it doesn't mean a definate no but i'm 34 now, i feel a bit panicky i've left it too late! i may also be feeling a bit hormonal as AF is due next week if cycle behaves :-/

sorry for the long post!!

honeysucklejasmine · 14/10/2014 14:53

There are people who have all sorts of barriers against them who still manage to conceive butterfly. Never give up hope unless you don't actually have a uterus. And even then they will transplant them these days! Wink Keep strong, and keep shagging!

Khbutterfly11 · 14/10/2014 14:55

thanks honey that one i can do! Grin

jellypi3 · 14/10/2014 15:04

omg Chat that is amazing :D Congrats!!!

ChatEnOeuf · 14/10/2014 15:58

Touche, fresh

Thanks all, not sure I really really believe it yet.

Widdly hope the bloods don't show anything too alarming. Fingers crossed.

Jelly that sounds v romantic Grin - one to tell the grandkids...?

Hope Malcolm pisses off and leaves you alone KH, I am lucky, I'm only rendered partially sighted by mine, the headache is relatively mild in comparison. And listen to honey, that's as positive a post as you can get!

lildottie · 14/10/2014 17:04

Hope you are OK la

Congrats chat beautiful line!

kh have you tried soy isoflavones? Supposed to help regulate hormones. Pretty cheap in Tesco so maybe worth a try? Not sure what CDs you are supposed to take the but Dr goofle will probably be able to help.

Well viroids, I never need to wait until I'm late to poas, because I'm never late. And today the fecking witch turned up a day early. And half hour before my swim. So bloody rude! Hade a major breakdown and cry because a)the witch showed and b) I couldn't find my swimming costume even though it turned out to be right in front of me! Don't know why I got so upset. I haven't cried over it for months. I guess I just allowed myself to think maybe it could happen. Oh well. Onwards. One cycle left to go before its out of our hands!

BothersomeB · 14/10/2014 17:30

Oh lil - it's totally understandable...TTC tears catch you unawares sometimes, and it doesn't help the witch a. happens at all b. makes you feel extra emotional anyway and c. invariably comes at a shit time - like when you're going swimming, or on a mountain climbing work jolly. I'm always in a terrible mood for ages - not helped by the TWPU...surprised Mr B still wants to TTC with me...drunk, emotional crying women are sooooo sexy!

Wow Butterfly - it's no wonder you have a headache if you're going to go throwing yourself around in the garden like that. Wink

Think we should start the '5am Fred' for all the insomniacs...we can all post our worries there in the night so we can sleep better.

x

RPopz · 14/10/2014 17:59

I bloody knew it Chat - congratulations!! Grin

WigglyBraddins · 14/10/2014 18:31

kh and honey I met a woman at a party who had no womb but was having a baby with eggs she'd had harvested and a surrogate. Definitely always hope.

Ah lil the witch needs a great big kick up the feckin' arse. The thing with the swimming costume is exactly the sort of thing I do. Big hugs.

KateBeckett · 14/10/2014 18:39

Oooh congratulations chat! how exciting!

Sooooo. Today I am home from working away AND I have ewcm, so perfection in terms of shag timing no?

Except.

I get home, to find a small pile of blackened pots outside. Very strange, I think to myself, what on earth has DP been upto? (He is the type to get up to all kinds of high jinx!)
I go in and we chat, and I mention tonight would be a fab night for a shag.
Ah. He says. Might have a slight issue there.
He then proceeds to tell me how today he accidentally set the windowsill on fire trying to make a convection heater with pots and candles, which the. Led to him having a wank to calm himself down! He said "so i might be a bit of a damp squib tonight" !!

Oh my lord, I can't even be upset I'm still giggling just thinking about him and his soothing wank!

KateBeckett · 14/10/2014 18:41

AND I go back to work tomorrow, and not home til Friday by which time I think it will be too late! slaps forehead

BothersomeB · 14/10/2014 18:47

Kate - sorry, but that make me laugh out loud! [Grin]
Quickie in the morning?

ChatEnOeuf · 14/10/2014 18:49

Well I think if he can't manage tonight, then an early morning shag before work will have to suffice. Not laughing at him, honest Grin

Lil that witch is a bitch. Totally understand the swimming costume moment, we've all been there. Have a squishy hug and some Wine.
