Morning viroids! This hasn't been a very successful Fred so far has it? In hoping we see a few more bfps before the Fred ends.

I'm off again travelling with work today. Finding being separated from dh very tough since the mc. I just don't like it, I like my safety net of a hug after a day trying to carry on as normal.

Some days I wake up and I feel positive and good about things, but some days I feel horrifically empty and sad. On those days the hug is so important. The hardest part is having nothing to show for the pregnancy - no baby and no memorial thing. Just a few pregnancy books and a scan letter. Sorry for posting this here, I should probably find some miscarriage support thread but I find them so sad and difficult to read.

It's daft, I was only pregnant 7 weeks. But it's the loss of the dream, the many plans we made, starting to think about names, nursery, etc. I think that's the bit that fucks with your mind and stops you suddenly in your tracks at various points of the day when you realise it's not there anymore.

Got fertility specialist on Friday. Hoping for good advice. Hcg was at 3 last thurs and I don't know whether it has to be 0 for ovulation. Someone told me less than 5.

That sounds tough La. I hate being away from DH at the best of times. We all need our comfort blanket! Don't feel bad about sharing on here, it's what we're here for Even at "only" 7 weeks - it's not just a tiny bundle of cells you lost but a potential life, future, YOUR baby. You're absolutely allowed to grieve for that so don't feel silly and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Hope the appointment brings a positive step forward at least x

Not at all daft, La. You grieve for what might have been. It's like parents whose child is born with problems. They think they're mad for grieving but they are grieving for normality, for their own hopes and dreams for the future of their offspring. Totally normal. And being separated from the one person who shared it with you sucks big time. I know.

I think anything under five is normal for HCG. Stands to reason you should ovulate within normal range.

noniks - thanks for peeing in your thermos (PIAT?) - it made my day and gave us all something to laugh about. It can't have been as much fun actually doing it, but you took one for the JS team and we love you for it.

La - please don't feel bad about feeling the way you do or for sharing it. I appreciate it as it's exactly how I felt/feel. My MC was almost exactly a year ago and the feeling at the time of all your hopes and dreams being taken from you is heartbreaking, without factoring in the hormonal crap that goes with it. So be easy on yourself and accept that there will be ups and downs. It does get easier, although there are always the milestones that creep up on you. Anyway, meantime, it's important that you can talk about it when you need to - and if Dh isn't around, then we're more than happy to step in and offer virtual hugs.

Whoever mentioned that weather - you're damn right it's miserable! I always find this time of year tough as October is the anniversary of my Father's death...and now the anniversary of my MC...on balance, October can fuck right off. In light of this, we're off to Lanzarote on Saturday for a week in the sun - seriously cannot wait...will be packing a sneaky frer as AF due 24th!
